I'm not sure how Miis exactly relate to the address book. Would I need to send you mine? How would I do that?q

It's denial to not count out the market leader's next gen machine very early after launch?

Each region having a unique pecking order has been discussed before, but it does seem to be getting to be a more realistic possibility. Wii is less than a week away for Europe, and oddly enough they're getting Elebits and Opera day one (according to GameFAQs). Meanwhile, PS3 is still months away in Europe, and even longer before most people will be able to find and buy one. 360 is already established fairly well there, too.

I don't mind the rupee message, because at least it's not an every single time thing. What I find a tad more annoying is that the special chests (compass, map, boss key, weapon) that automatically morph you back to human link, and how warping morphs you to wolf form. I understand logically you can only morph in wolf form, but would be nice if you could automatically morph back to human form upon landing. Otherwise, you have to usually run and hide to morph back to wolf form. Wolf form has grown on me, though. I often use it when I just need to cover short distances fast but don't have an immediately available way of summoning Epona. I found it easier to beat Redead Knights with wolf form, provided you aren't swamped by Stalfoses. Shame that the standard wolf attack pretty much sucks, especially compared to the Master Sword. -

details please. I caught a snail and I think I've talked to that girl before. Is she where you go find the secret skill 4 at? She's in the flowers? Naw, don't think so unless she appears there as well--her name's Agitha, has blond pigtails and freckles. She's in the south part of the Castle Town, down the eastern alley. First bug gets you the wallet, subsequent ones net you rupees, and all 24 gets you a 1000 rupee wallet. A single bug gets you 50 rupees. When you have completed a pair (a male and a female of the same type), you get (an additional) 100 rupees, BTW. You give them one at a time, though, so a pair of bugs nets you 150 rupees total. -

Did you get the first wallet upgrade from catching a gold bug and taking it to the crazy bug girl in Hyrule Castle Town? It expands your wallet to 600 rupees. -
Cop out. Try naming some.

There are no big Wii games coming out for a while as it is, though...

On Monday there's 4 new VC releases. Donkey Kong Jr. for the NES, Victory Run for the TurboGrafx 16, and Ristar and Columns for the Sega Genesis. Meanwhile, Japan has already gotten DKC, Castlevania IV, Link to the Past and Super Mario World available at launch *plus* all the ones we got on VC originally. Ghey.

Not as of yet. I ran into a nifty bug with the nunchuk though. A couple times yesterday, my analog stick direction input got "stuck" even though actual controller stick did not. Had to reconnect the nunchuk to the remote to fix it. I think it may have had something to do with me moving the stick in a certain direction, and then moving the remote well off the screen. At least, thats what seemed like triggered it both times. When you turned on the system you probably had the stick tilted in some direction, and that was set as the "neutral" position. This happens on every current system that has an analog stick.

But it isn't enough for that "downloadable content" that was discussed, which we're looking into hard drive territory for. Nothing of the sort has materialized, yet, though.

Zelda uses, like, 1 block. It's crazy, I would expect more.

To have a backup in case, oh, something happens like a Wii update bricking your system. Which has happened in some rare cases, has happened with 360, and will likely happen with PS3, just like any system that uses these firmware updates/patches. And yeah, at first I thought I had a bad SD card, and then I read in the manual I gotta update it. argh.

Not perfect = improved textures, less blur, and 480p support? That is, going by Mario 64. Of course, supposedly rumble is out, but we haven't seen a game that originally supported rumble yet on VC. Plus, Nintendo plans to offer updates to some VC games. Reggie himself said that they planned to have sold a million Wiis sold by December 1st, BTW. As far as we know, that many haven't even been released. I'd expect Nintendo would be touting that today if they'd have met that goal.

IIRC you can share photos too, right?

You forget the (current) hidden cost of buying a PSP and a memory stick. I'm sure Sony is going to working judiciously on that firmware update to get the games running on PS3. I'm sure it's just a technical bug they need to iron out, *NOT* a shameless and transparent attempt to unload PSPs. Yes, for the low, low cost of $700-$800 plus tax, you can play the same PS1 games you can get at Gamestop for $5-$10 a pop. Although in Sony's credit they're going to be apparently offering import-only and rare titles, like Vib Ribbon and Silent Bomber. Save for TG16, the current VC offers are as rare as dirt and they're all US region, with no announced plans for imports (which makes little sense).

Namco's arcade HW have been basically Playstations for years?

An Xbox fanboy/plant on another board Anya and I frequent was talking about how Nintendo had Yakuza ties and what not. It pretty much can all be tied to Yamauchi, who by many accounts is as evil as he looks. Gunpei Yokoi was killed by being hit by a drunk driver--said fanboy implied it was a mob hit or something. Of course this is moot since Yamauchi isn't even associated with the company anymore (was on the board of directors, now not even that), but he was a creepy, ruthless bastard who could probably be credited with much of Nintendo's highly aggressive/illegal behavior in the 80's. FWIW, now Nintendo is run by a guy a who worked on the Kirby and Earthbound games.

KH3 hasn't had a platform officially announced, but considering the sales of the first 2 games in Japan, Square would be insane to make it a 360 exclusive, unless the 360 starts taking off big time. I don't see that happening.

Acquiring the Master Sword in pretty much any Zelda game, especially in Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker (because in Wind Waker it's also accompanied by a really, really awesome cutscene of something else happening...). Chrono Trigger: Frog dividing the mountain, Crono being brought back with the Trigger, fighting the final Lavos forms. Mario 64: Flying with the Wing Cap, GIANT SWING~ing Bowser in the boss fights, and pretty much the entire ghost house level. I mos def have to 2nd the Okami one.

It's 100% wrong and it's your usual shitty blog "reporting." I'm using a Wavebird and it plays fantastic. You get a prompt that says just that, but then just press a button on the Bird and there you go.

http://wii.nintendo.com/virtualconsole.jsp Nintendo has a chart of the Virtual Console compatibility with controllers. So far the Gamecube one works for everything (so I don't get that "some" thing they're talking about), however, I suspect they'll push for the Classic hard since I doubt too many folks are purchasing new Gamecube controllers these days.

You must not have added me. I just added you Misawa, but you're still gray in my address book

While not exactly the same, this is interesting: http://www.destructoid.com/wii-need-a-good...me--28221.phtml Lets hope for either a Wii import solution or a US localization.
