Here is the rundown of the Massachusetts elections (I live in the 4th District in Bristol County). Look at how many offices are running unopposed; hell, this is the most candidates Barney Frank has run against in 10 years (he was unopposed in '02 and '06).

Oh, I'm voting for everything else this year, but it's really hard to get up for it when it seems like everybody in this state is a fucking Senator/Rep/Whatever For Life since their competition is usually a joke. I'll vote for my fucking cat before I vote for Ted Kennedy.

Or they just think that neither guy is really worth their vote. What, is that too simple an explanation? That's a rousing call to the electorate: "Just vote for the guy you dislike less!" Forgive me for sounding "unpatriotic" here, but I think I'm going to be sitting this one out. Of course, where I live voting for McCain might as well be like voting for Mickey Mouse.

There was some truly awful defense and baserunning by the Rays in this one. Bartlett's blind charge was just the icing on the cake. Oh well, fuck 'em. Congrats to Philly and TSM Brotherly Love.

That Jarrett promo was probably Russo's first instance of "well, the internet fans are talking about it, so EVERYONE must be!" booking where it flew over the heads of about 90% of the audience. Michaels/Owen is a pretty good match.

The Savage/Roberts match from TIT is awesome if only for the post-match stuff and Roberts' promo afterwards.

Joystiq has a nice video tour of the NXE. For us Netflix users, not only will you be able to stream content to your 360, you can do it in HD. It's only a small amount of titles (about 300) and you'll probably need a very good connection, but that's still awesome. I'm stacking my Instant Queue in anticipation of November 19th.

Then why not focus on the really funny things and the great supporting cast instead? I know the mother is going to be revealed eventually so I'm enjoying how the story unfolds and all the things Ted goes through. If all you want is the mother, then you really aren't getting the most out of this show.

I'm making my way through Lost Odyssey right now. I'd put this game's story among the best I've ever seen in a RPG; it isn't a typical Square "us vs. the world" fare and it is unfolding itself very smoothly; I'm on Disc 2 right now (just wrapped up the Old Sorceress' Mansion) and I still don't really know where everything is going to lead, which is a good thing IMO. Also, the voice acting is superb; all the characters have...well....character.

I guess when Pam was banned from that Chili's, the Dundies were banned from there as well.

This episode basically turned the entire season on its head and now we probably have Robin moving in with Ted for the time being and Barney still trying to win her over without pissing Ted off again. I actually thought they were going to drag this out a few more episodes until midseason, but I'm more interested than ever to see how things progress. I love Carter and Bays.

Good God, the Broncos defense is awful. The fifth-string running back was gashing them for fuck's sake! Cassell had a good game statistically, but I found myself yelling "Just get rid of it!" to the TV far too much. He needs to learn to just dump the ball to a back or throw it away if there's nothing downfield.

No, we were stuck with the fucking Raiders game here in that time slot. Me too. I was ready to just slit my wrists around the 6th procedure penalty that was called on the Raiders. Laurence Maroney is out for the season with a shoulder injury, so now New England has no passing game OR running game. It's going to get real ugly real fast tonight.

I will say that I hope and pray that this is the last we see of Jason Varitek in a regular starting role. Unfortunately, the organization painted itself into a corner by adding ZERO depth behind him in favor of making the backup catcher Wakefield's lackey. The best they can do is sign a decent young catcher and Varitek to a one-year deal and platoon them. Tropicana Field sure emptied out fast. I guess the fans want to get home before Monday afternoon if Smues' tales of horror told us anything.

Rays in 4 or 5 in the World Series. The Phillies have a shot with Hamels pitching, but after that, they're cooked. At least they went down with some semblance of a fight. Well....not tonight since Garza was dealing, but at least it went the full 7. They need to throw whatever money they can at a guy like Texiera in the offseason since they need another big bat. They should be all right for next year since guys like Ortiz and Lowell will be healthy and Lester has emerged as a bonafide ace this year. If this happened after 5 I'd have been more bummed, but I'm not. For the record, I turned the game off after the 7th since the writing was on the wall.
