  1. Most enjoyable show in a long time. -Jindrak/RVD was OK. Jindrak has really improved. He's no Benoit, but he's developed a personality, and hasn't blown anything in the ring. Didn't like RVD totally ignoring all the back work when it was time for him to go on offense. I could live with a Jindrak lower/mid card push. -tag title match was good. Hopefully the Dudz don't go back face, as they've seemed to rediscover an "edge" to their work as heels that they lacked as faces. And hopefully they let London/Kidman have a run with the belts, rather than job them out to Gunn/Holly next week. -JBL/El Grand LuchaMoore was decent enough. Liked Lucha's "celebration" taunt -cruiser 6-man was OK, but too short. I would have liked to have seen at least 5 more minutes for that match, as it broke down to a bunch of spots way too early. Knoble = god, but I don't buy Spike & Scotty hanging with the other 4 guys in that match. -ending aside, I was digging Book/Cena. Probably Book's best match in a while. He really looked motivated, and hit his stuff pretty crisply. -I flipped away from the Heyman/UT stuff, as well as Suzuki's backstage segment. Overall, best show since the redraft.
  2. Wonder how Eskin will spin that. He's been harping on Abreu not having any HR's/hits to win games in the 9th.
  3. Kick him in the nuts, then when he's down, get in your shots.
  4. The only way to understand a girl is to be a girl. ::pages Kotz::
  5. I got it in email form, not PM.
  6. You weren't in the last one. ESB didn't have a Death Star.
  7. I'd take a shot at Finley, provided they don't ask for either of the 2 arms.
  8. Forgot about Milton. I have confidence in him, but his problem is he doesn't go far into the game. Has he pitched past 7 innings yet? Millwood? I dunno. He folded down the stretch last year, so he's gotta prove he's not going to do it again this year. He hasn't exactly been tearing it up lately, either. I've got no confidence in Byrd. I'm not seeing what you still see in him. Supposedly he's been doing good at Scranton, but if he's still having problems after a week of being called back up, then he's toast. Michaels/Ledee is OK, but if they can get a decent full-time CF, they've gotta do it. I wouldn't trade either of the 2 arms, but there's no reason they shouldn't be shopping Ryan Howard to everyone.
  9. Great - 10-0 Mets over the Phillies, and the Phils' announcers are bringing up the "unwritten rules". Even though my team is down, I hate that stuff. The game's not over.
  10. Because, unless they make some trades, I can't see them making the playoffs. Hell, I could see them finishing 3rd behind Florida & New York. As it stands right now, roughly 1/2 the lineup can't hit (Lieberthal & Polanco swing at the 1st pitch EVERY TIME), and there's exactly *1* starting pitcher I have any kind of confidence in (Wolf). They need a CF, and at least 1 more starter, either through trade or call up. If the Phillies don't make any moves before the trading deadline, they're officially DOA. Somebody please tell me I'm just Anglesaultian overreacting. Right now, they're getting smoked by the Mets 10-0.
  11. Someone check Mike Cameron's bat. He's reached out and literally poked 2 HR's tonight.
  12. I guess they've run out of buy-out guys to job to him. Hell, Kanyon made up approx. 50% of his wins.
  13. Oh, that Rick Santorum. Doing us Pennsylvanians proud again
  14. But what about the pants?!
  15. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?????? You can't be serious.
  16. Watch the show. Without spoiling it for you, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  17. They've been getting face pops over the last 3 weeks on Velocity, and have been facing off against heels. Hopefully not. You could trace Edge's neck injury to his TLC matches, as well as Christian's back injury. Anyway, looks like a good SD. Looking forward to the tag title match, and the cruiser 6-man (Knoble gets a pin on Spike! Holy crap!). Hopefully they let London/Kidman mix it up with the FBI, Akio/Sakoda, Bashams instead of jobbing them out to Holly/Gunn over the next couple weeks.
  18. Anyone have any idea where I could get a tape of his HWA work without having to buy a bunch of HWA tapes?
  19. It was sometime in mid-2003. Like WP said, short & fun, but nothing near his 1st against London or last against Rey on Velocity.
  20. Yeah, like I'm going to believe someone who hates America. Nice try, hater.
  21. Seriously. I don't know how prevalent blue laws are around the country, but PA only recently allowed liquor stores to open on Sunday. However, I only think it's certain stores, not every one.
  22. OK, that makes sense. NO EDIT PLZ~
  23. ^^^ Agree. EDIT PLZ~
  24. Knoble has *SO* patterned himself after Benoit. His forearm/punch is just like Benoit, I believe he used the swandive headbutt in WCW, the irish whip you mentioned. It's really quite obvious. As for ranking, I'd have him top 5 as well. Benoit & Eddie would be 1/2, and you could make a case for Rey/Knoble/Jericho making up spots 3-5. I was always a big fan, but lately he's moved into my "favorite guys in the entire company" category.
