Shane, you just described a versatile wrestler. That's different from a technical wrestler.
A technical wrestler is somebody who is very smart psychologically, and someone who can take you down with smart tactics and mostly fundamental things. Like Kurt Angle, for instance. He takes you down with takedowns, suplexes, and the like, and then looks for a submission. And on the subject of being taken off the street, I think that if you have a mind for wrestling, are motivated, and tough, you CAN be taught the basics, and then improve on those into your own style. It just takes that extra incentive to do that.
