I remember saying "WTF" about a lot of the Undertaker Ministry stuff back in the day. Especially Mideon's sacrifice, the attempted embalming of Austin, and the *ahem* crucifixion of Austin.
EDIT: Another one is Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show on Smackdown where the ring collapsed.
When Chuck Norris kicked Jeff Jarrett in the head at Survivor Series '94 he knocked what little talent Jarrett had clean out of him. Jarrett's lucky he wasn't killed.
If Angle dies I bet ESPN does one of those Beyond the Glory shows on him where they basically say exactly what's being said in here. How he went from legit wrestler to pro wrestler and it killed him.
My brother doesn't really follow wrestling yet he recognized Angle when he saw him on TV one day. I was watching wrestling and he walked in, my brother knows who the Rock is obviously, and he said, "who's Rock fighting? Oh it's Kurt Angle."
If it is Angle should we be so quick to blame Pro Wrestling? The man wrestled in the Olympics with a broken neck. He's already shown himself to put his work above his well being. Which means he's probably already had problems with drugs and whatnot to shield the pain since his Amateur days. This doesn't sound like a problem that just cropped up since turning pro.
The only time I cried at Old Yeller was when I had to sit through the whole thing when I was a kid. I have always found that movie to be extremely boring.
I'm going to be spending a week in New Jersey at the end of November for training for my new job and after training is over each day I was going to go into New York for some sight-seeing because I've never been there. Well my mom tells me to be careful because, and I quote, "There are kooky people there!"
I'm serious.
FBTG your opinion on it being "shitty performance art" will change if you spend a few years doing it. Just listen to the veteran wrestlers. They don't see it as "shitty performance art". To me wrestling done right is Performance Art at it's least shittiness. Just look at Japan and other places where it's still treated with respect.
