RUMOR from the Orioles camp: Bobby Abreu for Erik Bedard and Jay Gibbons. Put Al on suicide watch. Again, I stress RUMOR, but thought I'd share since it's heating up on the O's boards.

The NSAC fucked up big time. http://www.insidefighting.com/betweenRound...p.aspx?uid=2490

"Latino Heat" from WWF The Music, Vol. 5. When I hear this song I usually think of Eddie.

Good to have Andre Arlovski signed up to the board!

I hope it's live, I hope Vince appears and I hope the host grills him on the enlarged heart and makes him answer why there is no steroid testing.

Major changes are going on involving a shakeup in the structure of the writing crew on Smackdown. Big Dave's injury has exasbarated the already existant turmoil in WWE. Should know more by tommorow. Stay tuned!

Maybe if you cited sources rather than just spew it off as if you were somebody on the inside then people wouldn't give you shit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Frigid- me and you have our history, let's leave it at that. I don't feel like turning this into a flame war thread. Like I said, I was trying to provide a service when I read somewhere that the majority of you don't have access to that something major was going down. I didn't use the source name because it wasn't posted anywhere official and I didn't want the guy to get hung out if it didn't end up materialising. The point is, you all would rather chase me away and be assholes. You got your wish, I won't post anything inside that I read anymore. I'm done, no more arguing.

NY-U doesn't like me for some reason so don't listen to any of his bullshit. I'm not on the inside of anything but I do subscribe to basically all inside wrestling websites and newsletters. Far Beyond is correct-Bryan Alvarez was keeping us updated on this situation and I didn't use his name since it wasnt posted official anywhere yet. I thought it would be nice to inform people when I've read something that most of you don't know but if you want to be assholes about it I won't do it anymore.

The new head Smackdown writer is a former Hollywood writer named "Alex". The original plan was to have Dusty Rhodes be the new head writer when Lagana moved to WWE.com, but those plans changed. Lagana has now moved to WWE.com and this Alex guy is the head writer with Dusty still an assistant. Sorry if I made it seem a lot more interesting than this actually is, but I was just passing along exactly what I heard and that it was a "major shakeup", and the rumor was Dusty was taking over but obviously that changed. So yeah, Alex. Also, Batista might have been injured going into Smackdown and the bump aggravated it. He apparently can't even lift his arm so it's highly unlikely he'll be able to drop the belt.
-
The latest is that now former Smackdown head writer Dave Lagana is moving to WWE.com to be in charge of that. There was consideration to make Dusty Rhodes the new head writer but that was (thankfully) reconsidered. Apparently some new guy is taking over Smackdown with Dusty as his top assistant though.

It is what it is. I don't have anything else substantive except that by tommorow we should know more and that it's a "major shakeup".
-
All I'm hearing is that after Batista's injury occured, WWE was in chaos, and it's spawned a shakeup on Smackdown. They haven't even gotten to the point of thinking of how to book a new champion yet.

Amazing. Get this man in a cage with Tito NOW!

Gomes should have finished before Cano but it doesn't matter.

He was lowballed ala Christian. Source- Wrestling Observer newsletter. Go crazy kids.

I always say that rule as only counting for the opponent being on all fours and Diaz was just sitting there with his arms up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are correct. It's the 4 point attack rule. You can kick an opponent in the head (the front, not the back) as long as his arms are not on the ground. Otherwise you can kick to the body regardless. In Pride, you can stomp and kick at will regardless of circumstances unless there's a weight difference...of...I want to say 20 pounds but I'm not sure...unless the lighter opponent agrees to waive the rule.

Those are some WONKY finishes. Tko by LEG KICKS, a cut stoppage and 21 second KO via SLAM.

Throw in Hughes, Parisian, Riggs and Diaz and make it a 1 night tournament!

I agree it's competing with Pride Bushido: The Tournament for MMA show of the year. This show had 4 fights, that show had what seemed like 40 fights but they've been equivalently awesome.

UFC's heavyweight division is headed by a Belarusian caveman-vampire with a sense of fashion. Really.

I had it 10-9 Joe first round, 10-9 Luke second round and 10-9 Joe third round. It was even up until the final minute and Joe hit that last takedown and that sealed it.

Not likely, considering they can watch Benoit on tv every week for free. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More wrestling fans have heard of Benoit over Kobashi though. If they got the pub out it would draw in more fans.

Benoit in ROH would pay for itself. It might sell more DVD than Kobashi.
