Is it wrong that I can't stop laughing? This is just so absurd, it's hilarious.
-
Yeah, its basically video packages, some recaps from last week's show, Xplosion interviews and Mike and Don (or Jeremy) yelling DONT DELAY...ORDER NOW!

Don't listen to the haters! TNA has a consistent pattern of always putting out good shows when they have a hyped world title match, plus its in a cage which always delivers. It's 10 bucks, you haven't watched in a year. Don't like what you see? Wait another year. Give it a shot. I'll be watching on Friday when I'm at home and get the chance, so I'll be avoiding this folder to avoid spoilers until then!

Angelsault having heart attacks about the Yankees losing is tremendous. Once you've been to the World Series almost every year of the last decade, there's no place to go but down. Marvin is right. I was at the game we lost the ALCS in 97 to Cleveland. Since then I've stuck with the team and routed them on. Finally they have fielded a competitive team, and it feels much better coming up from a low then it does from down from a high. Oh, and for those who questioned the O's young unknowns and called us Texas Rangers II, just a friendly reminder that besides the surging offense our pitching staff has the lowest runs allowed total in the league, and the lowest ERA of any bullpen.

Its just STUPID for the WWE to use the name "Hirohito", and the promo they ran last night was horribly inaccurate. I think you're thinking of Tojo. Let me clarify this. Hirohito didn't get Japan involved in the war, the Japanese military did. The Japanese military invaded Manchuria in 1931 without the support of the Japan's democratic government. By the late 30's, the military had control of the government. While Hirohito took few steps to stop the war, evidence shows that he opposed getting the U.S. involved. He also opposed the alliance with Germany. When the war ended in 1945, Hirohito remained in power (although this was mostly a ceremonial position). Hirohito assisted General MacArthur in his efforts to reform the Japanese government in the late 1940s. Hirohito remained emperor of Japan until 1989 (during the lifetime of every Japanese worker in the WWE), when he died. He was the longest reigning emperor in Japanese history. Oh, well I'm not a big history person. My friend is and called him "Hiroshito" so I guessed he couldn't have been such a good guy, and from the way WWE was using Pearl Harbor and the Enola Gay and such, it seemed like they were trying to exploit one of America's enemies...

I'm personally more offended that they're turning one of America's biggest historical threat's and one of the modern world's most insane leaders into a WWE character. What's next, the return of Alex Wright as Adolf Hitler II? ...come to think of it, WCW did kind of try that... Oh, and I'm still looking for a video link!

pfft....ROH has a young pharmacist who can cure WAY more diseases than that...

Or killed..... Or called up a green OVW wrestler to play a caricature of this guy as an inside joke...

"We don't advertise to kids... I mean...We do now"

Goddamn, what the hell am I watching? The best damn action adventure comedy soap opera on television today. -
If anyone can link me to a video of this I'd be very grateful. My friend didn't see RAW and really wants to see this...
-
My thoughts exactly. Again, to be fair, this was copied from his personal blog which he uses to talk about himself without cluttering the rants...

I had great enjoyment reading that too. I'd love to see the Shane photo

Using this precedent, should I be worried that they call their chicken nuggets, "Mcnuggets"? Never understood all the Mcdonalds hate. You know what you're eating's not good for you, but not much food is anyway. You shouldn't be eating fastfood more than once or twice a week anyway, and if you are it's your own problem (although Wendy's, Burger King and like every other fast food chain is way better)- whoa, didn't we have a fast food forum at one point, or am I just losing it?

Who let the dogs out? WHO? WHO? WHO? wait, was the question?

Thank you for both completely missing my point AND making my point for me. I owe you one. Thanks! I will.

I've recieved nothing but prompt, friendly replies from everyone in TNA I've ever contacted. I've recieved several great gifts like signed AJ Styles photos, posters, t-shirts and videos as a thank you just for ordering. I've been told to send in my receipt for the first X-cup which had technical difficulties so they could send me a clean tape free of charge (other on the board have recieved their tape already). They have offered a monthly package plan which saves up to 15 dollars a month which is nice for fans who order every week anyway, and by getting on TV they're trying to give their fans more exposure for less money. As a long time fan, I've seen nothing but first class from the people that run TNA. But, but OMG...Samoa Joe is better than Jeff Jarrett!!!!!! 111111

Good for him. I'm sure Rob Feinstien video has his latest match avaliable, why don't you go buy it?
-
Because there hasn't been any financial exchange between RF and Doug that everyone has been talking about. As far as I've heard from anyone he's only the President in name only. Yup, and they have no filed any of the legal papers needed to officially transfer ownership, thus if you look up the official owner of ROH, it will still say Rob Feinstein (even if he's truly out). ROH should be doing everything they can, even little things like that to try to prove themselves and show that they are clean. They haven't. Hell, they're still "thinking" about changing the name of ROB FEINSTEIN VIDEO....hopefully they get around to that sometime... TNA goes the extra mile for its talent and its fans. It is doing what's best for the company's future financial stakes and going beyond the call of duty by compensating the wrestlers for their losses. Thus, not only are they getting paid, but they're getting paid and they get the weekend off and don't have to take bumps. I'm sure they're thrilled. This along with the ground breaking health care beenfit for contracted wrestlers is what seperates TNA from all the other sleazy promotions out there. They're going that extra mile. They're going to get on TV, they're going to give their guys more dates, more exposure and more money and set themselves up as the definite #2. And fanboys like Michrome can't stand it. It was suppoed to be ROH, right? Well they have no one to blame but themselves. Not what Rob did, but the shady, belittling way they've handled the aftermath For those that don't get the Observer, Dave outlines examples in the past of why there's no point in basically taking someone's word at face value. He cited the Pat Pattersion example from the ringboy scandals in WWF (he's gone from the company and will never be back again...except he was still there behind the scenes and back in full a few months later). He talked about Jerry Lawler's problems with the rape trial and how promoters gave the word he was gone as a PR move, but he was back as soon as situation cleared. When that guy (don't feel like grabbing the article to look up his name) murdered Bruiser Brody in Puerto Rico, the company vowed he was blackballed...until bringing him back once the heat died down....as a babyface. Fuck ROH. TNA goes the extra mile, ROH doesn't and they have no one to blame but themselves. This has nothing to do with "Well Jimmy Ace or whatever generic Indy wrestler #5 who does japanese yakuza armdrags and works better than all the WWE and TNA roster combined! (yes right) can do in the ring. It's all about the pinheads running this company. Fuck ROH.
-
It's worse, at least Dave trolled all folders equally... If this keeps up, I might need to step up again and change my name to ROHrapeslittleboys or something like that...
-
I have a Bichon too! They are indeed the sweetest dogs. Excellent with kids too.
-
I would love to see them tape some shows outside the Fairgrounds. That Nashville crowd gets burnt out and sometimes brings the show down. Playing in front of a new hot crowd for a couple weeks would liven things up and refresh the Nashville crowd when they return.
-
Kind of like when you were adament about CM Punk bringing in more buys than Sting Ace Steele better worker than anyone in TNA? What about AJ Styles? AJ is now an EXCLUSIVE contracted TNA wrestler that you can watch each and every week LIVE on PPV, you know.
-
Boo hoo. Stop being so bitter just because your company fucked itself over. You still have Coco Cabana or whoever still works for your favorite sleazy indy promotion. They're stopping them from working for a rival promoter publicly outed as a pedophile while wrapping a national TV deal, AND compensating the effected wrestlers for the loss. TNA has every right, and they're totally doing the right thing to earn the good graces of the fans and the wrestlers. This isn't about politics, it's about looking out for your own interests and now they're truly looking out for the wrestler's interests too. The latest rumor is that TNA will CONTINUE the weekly PPV shows, along with the weekly FSN tapings (possibly 2 a month) which would mean 6 dates a month (+extra pay for the ROH guys) instead of the previous 3 dates a month. So, they're pay and work might be doubled and now they're getting compensated without even having to take bumps. Oh, and TNA is the first wrestling company to offer a healthcare package to its contracted wrestlers. (Which Roddy Piper may or may not take credit for! ) Total high road here, and I have so much respect for this company and wish them all the sucess in the world and hope they can create a true alternative to WWE not just for the fans but as a viable second option for the wrestlers.

Heh, this was like an anti-spoiler. I saw the thread title, thought Bret might be there (probably just backstage or in the crowd or something) and avoided reading it. Then, checked it after RAW and saw this. O well, they didn't even use the footage...

Edge vs. Orton...the usual suspects are gonna be PISSED tommorow...
