  1. Correct. Him smashing the video with the sledgehammer was legit hilarious.
  2. I think Eddie and Benoit were there too. Of course they blurred everyone's faces since WWE threatened litigation (for what I dont know). That whole thing was a mess. The only funny part was 3LK going to take a plate from WWE catering and talking about how good the food is (WOW they have grilled Mahi-Mahi!)
  3. He died earlier that year and they replayed that segment with him from an earlier WM to commemorate him.
  4. Um, whether I want him to go is irrelevant and is different than I think he will. As you mentioned when asked about WWE he still badmouths them, when asked about TNA he's said he'd be open to it. With the news that Mick Foley was supposed to be their big surpise figurehead and that fell through, they're going to be looking for someone else to fill that role, and Hart would be buzzworthy. Plus, unlike Foley, if WWE threw more money at him to get him to come to WWE instead, Hart would turn it down on principle.
  5. I have a feeling as soon as the DVD is out, Bret Hart's going to TNA.
  6. This? Oh yeah, HHH's fat head just screams "buy me". EDIT: Woops, that's last year's. If you right click on your "user poster image" and put the url in that way you'll go to your pic. It's just Angle vs. Cena with Bischoff handcuffed. yay.
  7. Hah, in all that panic and they still couldn't get Rock, the one guy who people would tune in to see.
  8. Well techinically they have a whole damn On Demand channel but stupid fucking Comcast won't add it to their service.
  9. Yeah, I have to agree. Any real point to the misleading title here? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not only that but the article is not even about Gonzalez but about a deputy of his, U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta. So this thread is pretty low in overall credibilty.
  10. Hah! If that's true, then Vince is pulling more of his hair out because Tito Ortiz did a TNA PPV for them as a special referee a couple months ago and the chatter is TNA is going to bring in Tito and Ken Shamrock for the Spike show and promote a worked match between the two in order to keep the UFC audience watching. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because if there is one thing UFC fans love, it's worked matches involving their guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No kidding. The last thing I want to see is the Inoki worked-shoot style nonsense come to light in North America. A worked MMA match is a really boring pro wrestling match. I can just see Jarrett becoming the North American Ogawa with all sorts of worked wins over MMA fighters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps I didn't speak clearly enough. When I said a worked match, I meant just that, a worked match, i.e. a pro wrestling match, I didn't mean a "fake MMA" match. Sorry for the confusion.
  11. And don't forget this, either. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,164865,00.html I think the chances of Roberts being a lot more moderate than anticipated is much more likely than him being "an arm of the evangelicals" which I've seen no evidence to believe.
  12. Meltzer confirms it on the wrestling side:
  13. And...from Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Weekly: Looks like the potential for competition is a lot more real than AMikeSC percieves.
  14. In a recent Torch Audio Update, the implication was made that a large part of Matt's decision to go back to WWE was he wanted a chance to reconcile with Lita and could only do that if he was back on the road with her in WWE. Keep in mind the guy did have a 6 year relationship with her, but take that for what you will.
  16. Interesting. Like I said though, the vast majority of Chiefs have been appointed directly to the Court rather than promoted, but as Czech pointed out also, many of those were already men with national distinction. I wonder if the other Justices get jealous that the new guy immediately becomes their boss. Kind of hard to haze the new guy if he's your boss. ("Come on guys, where's my robe?! Ginsberg! I see you giggling")
  17. I believe the final RAW on Spike will also be the final Ultimate Fighter on Monday nights, the next week it will air first run on Saturdays at 10.
  18. It's funny you should mention that... WAR SPIKETV!
  19. Considering it's their USA re-debut they're going to have a loaded show anyway with probably a couple main event caliber matches and a likely HHH return to boot, so I don't think they'll counter program any more than they would have anyway to get people to watch on the new network. Between the TNA commercials and this, Spike TV is really giving Vince more gray hairs.
  20. The card, btw: - Evan Tanner vs. David Loiseau - Stephan Bonnar vs James Irvin - Josh Koscheck vs Drew Fickett - Chris Leben vs Edwin Dewees - Thiago "Pitbull" Alves vs Spencer Fisher - Brandon Vera vs Fabiano Scherner - Brock Larson vs John Fitch - Pierre Guillet vs TBA - Jay Hieron vs. Johnathan Goulet Looks like fun.
  21. Didn't know where to post this, went with here since it sort of effects WWE but if you want to move it to Sports thats fine. It's not official yet but being reported on several MMA sites. Here's the one that broke the story: http://www.insidefighting.com/betweenRound...p.aspx?uid=2232 Should make for an interesting head to head.
  22. So, this is like The Church of Evil, right?
  23. I believe it was Warren Earl Burger (Chief Justice before Rehnquist), in 1969 by President Nixon. Appointing someone directy to Chief Justice has actually been the norm throughout history, as if Wikipedia is to be believed, only 3 Justices (including Rehnquist) were promoted from Associate Justice.
  24. So Smackdown will be pre-empted completely for several weeks in New York, Boston, Washington DC, San Fransisco among other smaller markets and the rest of the country that does get it will probably have it cut an hour short? YAY WWE!
  25. One thing I found funny is they didn't mention or show a clip of Paul Bearer turning on him. Considering the little review segments in between the matches are presumebly for newer fans to catch them up, I'm sure they'd be a bit confused that one match Paul Bearer is Taker's loyal manager and then the next match is managing his enemy. A short clip of Bearer turning on him to help Mankind at Summerslam 96 before the Buried Alive match would have been warranted.
