  1. Oh, and I call it... Should Daivari turn face, he'll be the one that beats Hassan one on one.
  2. YAY! THE ARABS TO START! ...I still say Iron Sheik should manage them.
  3. Why not something different? 1700s Raw!
  4. People are still hating on Salvatore for killing off Chewbacca. Even though the editors pretty much ordered him too, Salvatore was the only one who would do it, because none of the current generation of Star Wars EU authors would do it. Also, the editors originally wanted Luke to be the one killed, but can you imagine the shitstorm from that one? Leia could give Luke a blowjob (while Han watched) in the EU and I still wouldn't care. Pitch that idea to Bantam, and I'd bet you 10-to-1, they'd run with it. Or some psycho fan would write a disturbing XXX fanfic about it. Like there aren't already thousands of em..... Any of Padme and Leia? Just out of curiousity, is why I'm asking.
  5. Nobody knows for sure, but in the Ep.2 DVD commentary, Lucas indicated that Stormtrooper's predisposition to bump their heads on doors was inherited from Jango Fett. I bought the new book out that has the original trilogy novelized in it, and very early on Luke and Biggs have a conversation where Luke states that he 'Doesn't want to be conscripted into the Empire's Army', thus implying that the Storm Troopers are now regular humans. And since the book had an intro by Lucas, I'd say he approved everything in it and take it as cannon. That doesn't necessarily mean he'd be recruited as a Stormtrooper. He could have been one of those nameless soldiers that get ordered around by people like Piett and such.
  6. Why stop at just the face? Just CGI his whole body. It'll be so lifelike! Cause then we'd have to call the character Jar Jar Luke...and no one REALLY wants that, now do they?
  7. The only problem with doing something like that is that Mark Hamill nowadays looks very little like he did back near the end of Return of the Jedi. Unless you made a Digital face for Mark...which I could see Lucus doing.
  8. So...it may have been the remaining Clones that hit the Jawa tank...but humans for the remaining movies then?
  9. It's too bad the last 5 (longer) Clone Wars episodes aren't out on DVD yet because they literally lead right in to Episode III. Oh well, that's what torrents are for. Or you could just go here if you don't mind quicktime. http://www.starwars.com/clonewars/microseries/chapter/
  10. Something that hasn't been mentioned yet...another reason to like the Prequel Trilogy... DUEL OF THE FATES! Oh, and for those people complaining about changes done to the Star Wars movies...Lucus has, in a way, done changes since the early 80s. Originally, Episode IV: A New Hope didn't have the Episode number or title in its first theatrical release.
  11. My theory is that the reasoning behind the manipulating of both sides is to make the war, and whoever in the end wins the war will be weak enough for Palpatine to rise to ultimate power with relative ease.
  12. And also, there's the fact by this time, Vader is mostly machine, and Obi-Wan's body is 19 years older and probably still suffering from the battle with a younger Anakin...so their bodies physically had trouble with the fighting. I also always thought that Obi Wan probably hardly, if ever, used his lightsaber on Tatooine, so as not to draw attention to himself as a jedi. It's got to be hard to fight someone on Vader's level after 20 years of inaction, even if Vader is mostly machine and not as connected to the force as he is in episode III. That could be another reason behind it...which I didn't think of at first.
  13. You have to look at it from watching all six movies in chronological order. Vader and Kenobi know each other pretty well from the rumored super long battle they had in Episode III. They knew what, if they were at their best, they were both capable of from their battle on the lava planet. Here, they are not wanting to make a mistake, and are just testing each other out. Plus, there's the fact that Obi-Wan knew that his time to pass on was coming on. Had the battle gone on longer, it might have been slightly more intense physically. And also, there's the fact by this time, Vader is mostly machine, and Obi-Wan's body is 19 years older and probably still suffering from the battle with a younger Anakin...so their bodies physically had trouble with the fighting.
  14. Well, I'm mostly indifferent to this one. However...does this mean Snitsky is the next to go? I mean, we haven't seen him in God knows how long...
  15. I really can't imagine the Puppet version of Yoda with a lightsaber. Especially since it would have dulled the Mark Out feel of him fighting in Episode II. ...oh, and Sidious/Palpatine fighting in Ep III I marked for since I saw the brief thing with him with a lightsaber in the first trailer for Ep III.
  16. Those were only REALLY good when Disco Inferno superimposed his image into them.
  17. By the way...saw this on G4's "Attack Of The Show"... There's actually, if you can find it, a fan made release of the original trilogy scanned from Laserdisc onto DVD...which is the form pre Special Edition
  18. The Yoda training I see. The Obi-Wan stuff, I'm not that sure about. After all, Luke seemed somewhat surprised by Obi Wan appearing before him on Hoth in Empire Strikes Back, as if he never expected to actually SEE Ben again. And I'm sure that being Anakin's son did help him a slight bit. (though no one really wants to be reminded of this...)Luke might even have had a higher Midichlorian count than his father!
  19. OK...about the duels with Star Wars...it's an interesting story found in the bonus disk for the Star Wars Trilogy DVD set. Basically, at first, Lucas had the thought that Lightsabers would be so powerful that they would need to be held by two hands to contain the powers. However, as time went on, and he felt Luke would get stronger as time went on, he would be able to wield the weapon with just one hand. And of course, the reason he stated that the Prequel Battles had more flips and such (not in those words, but still) is that Luke hadn't gotten the full, proper training as a Jedi, unlike Qui-Gon Jin, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Anakin pre metal parts. Though I have to wonder now...though they never showed the scenes, did Yoda give Luke any Lightsaber training on Dagoba?
  20. Fuck. You expected him to keep his happy, upbeat music as a full heel? They made that mistake last time.
  21. Does that mean if there's an A-Team movie, he'll get that part?
  22. Wonder if they'll borrow from the cartoon and have Harley Quinn with The Joker in the movie.
  23. Not really. This is for any title a wrestler didn't have, despite having another title. Three Count as Tag Team Champs...or Cruiserweight Tag Champs if that was continued, would have been good. And I could see IC Champ Tazz. He might have gotten it too had the Radicalz not come in shortly after he did.
  24. To people who say Mysterio vs. Undertaker wouldn't work... I seem to remember the tournament that Cena won back when Brock Lesnar was WWE Champion that Undertaker and Mysterio seemed to have a pretty good opening round match. Course, this was back during the final bit of Taker's Bikertaker days.
  25. Hey there. Though I missed most of Raw due to sleeping, I read about a comment Bischoff said on Raw about how he would crush ECW again after the ECW ONS commercial showed. ...I wonder, will this lead to a moment old school ECW fans have waited a long time for, in the form of Eric Bischoff getting his ass handed to him by an ECW wrestler?
