I have to say, the music in the KOTR 97 video package is pretty ominous and the PPV theme music is pretty cool for being generic (and also ominous after the 'royal fanfare' portion). JR also refers to Crush as being in Demolition, which I guess answers the question I've always had if all the "Crush" characters were supposed to be the same guy in character canon.

That was scheduled like that. I'm assuming next month features both Cyber Sunday and Survivor Series.

I suggest checking out the JYD vs. Jim Neidhart HOF match. It's from Stampede in 1979 and it's pretty wacky to see The Anvil in black trunks with no facial hair.

I didn't mean to say they shouldn't put over the IWGP tag titles, but I did mean that they shouldn't say it's the biggest deal since the WWE tag titles. But you understood the basic point I was making.

And here's something that kind of bothers me on my way home from work. There's this broad on the bus with a mixed race kid - I have no problem with that, don't misunderstand me, but the issue is this woman is so incredibly plain looking and has to be, at the very least, in her late 30s / early 40s. There is nothing about her at all that is worth writing home about. So why did a black dude get white fever over her? Perhaps I need insight from Funny Letters or BL or someone on this. My theory is might be the son of one of our area seasonal migrant workers and not a local black man; those migrant workers will take anyone.

I'm tempted to throw money away on "Sonic Chaos" as I had no idea these Master System games existed, but I figure my next 500 Wii points is going toward Castlevania III. Might as well get a good game, ya know.

I watched a scene from The Lookout on TV last week as per Kamala's recommendation and he was pretty good in it (I believe they were in a diner).

To go with the whole "TNA putting over WWE accomplishments / coming off as low rent" deal, there's one very important thing that TNA needs to remember about the wrestling business: It's a lie. A scam. A work. Yeah, if you get too stupid people will call you out on bullshit, but the cardinal rule is "perception is reality" (isn't that Vince's motto?). If you write Team 3D to cut a promo saying winning the tag titles in Japan is the biggest accomplishment since wrestling for gold in MSG, that really makes your titles look low rent. This should have been their biggest thrill since winning the NWA/TNA tag titles (because that cemented them as the only team to ever win ECW/WCW/WWE/NWA tag titles, and now they've just added another milestone to their record). Whether TNA is major league or not is not an issue - they have Angle, Foley, Steiner, etc. on their roster and they can certainly ACT like they have a major league roster. I was thinking about all of this while watching the ladder match from Starrcade 2000. Mark Madden proudly declares that "two years ago" when WCW was #1, they had major stars but the cruiserweights were a key part of their prior success. Why would this even be brought up?

Re: Brody's contributions to General Wrestling. The impact of his memory is lessened when he's posting in sentence fragments with grammatical errors. But when he's sober, yes, he can be fine there. Back in 2008 I remember Leena was complaining about Brody being terrible from the Gulag and people here we're all "Bah, she's jealous, Brody is great!". I defend her stance as being the correct one was was called an idiot, so much like bob, I'm glad to see a pendulum swinging back. For the record I hate almost all of you, especially those under 20, but I can't state my mind on things like this during voting season, but that's done for another 11 months. I like bob though - his pursuit of perfection for being passionate about proper punctuation parallels a pet peeve of my own.

I suppose if THQ made an independent agreement with him (see: RVD being in the Legends of Wrestling games after signing a WWE contract) it's possible, but I highly doubt it.

The best part about that was it wasn't even a plot hole. "OMG Regal wants his title shot on TV? PLOTHOLE!". Is that supposed to be like the Ready to Rumble line where Arquette says "it's not even a PPV!"?

All of your posts are about to be edited to be pro-Cena, btw. I enjoyed Raw. The Kane/Knox vs. Kofi/Rey tag match was actually really good and I enjoyed the main event too (Oh noes! Jericho lost to the WORLD CHAMPION!). That Mania history video was really good too, it actually made me excited to re-watch Mania 2 when my March to Mania begins. I'm not sure why the Raw EC match containing 4 capable wrestlers, a capable big man, and a big man who actually seems pretty motivated with his push is going to be "ugly", but hey, I guess we wouldn't be complaining if we were thinking it would be good. It seems a bit odd they're doing JBL vs. HBK already, but honestly I'd rather see HBK vs. Undertaker at Mania. Of course Taker is going to win, but is the result of HBK beating JBL at Mania any less obvious? It's not like knowing Taker has to win removes all tension - Edge vs. Taker was pretty awesome and a few times at the end I actually thought Edge was going to win. However, if the scenario here is that JBL wins but Michaels gets a second chance at Mania in a gimmick match, WWE must must must do a "Dancing Monkey Michaels" segment beforehand.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone hates the "dude pinned himself" finish (it's been done about 500 times in WWE history, usually to trick an audience into thinking a title changed hands).
