  1. My version of Prime Time has sped up time and ends during the Rumble Royal conversation, but I enjoyed what I saw. They were really pushing Bret hard. It was funny in the Bret / Roma match, Bret did the 2nd rope elbow the way he does it if he's going to miss, but it actually hit and was the finisher. Wacky.
  2. About as good as any child murderer vs. Too Cold Scorpio match could be.
  3. As soon as GSN de-pushed sweet, sweet Shandi Finnessey and pushed all the Combs era Feuds to a time I don't even know (since it's always Al Borland when I check it out), I got pretty angry with them. Their hour long decade specials on the 70s, 80s, and 90s last fall (summer?) were pretty good though.
  4. No surprise there, March is always Mania month without fail, though last year's theme was "What are the worst Manias we can show?", so good thing X7 made the cut this year (and I assumed it would). I liked last year's "Show the TV show leading up to WrestleMania" bit and I'm glad they're doing it again, though it is funny that once again a not that great show from Detroit is airing. I think this SmackDown is better than the pre-Mania X8 Raw though, I just recall the matches being too short when I was there live. The best match - Test/Benoit vs. Angle/Eddie - will likely not air either.
  5. Did you know the WWE Universe forums have an area to pitch storylines? I thought they couldn't accept third party work. Also - http://fans.wwe.com/go/forum/view/711/18757/Petitions
  6. I hope that Philly show sucks because I'll never see it. I calculated that under the naming policy of using "08" and not "2008", the individual No Mercy matches entire title with numbers would fit on my directory and not confuse my system with an endless loop of titles with the same name. Naturally they changed it to "2008" so I have an endless loop cycle of "WWE No Mercy 2008 Match".
  7. Michael thinking Black Michael's name was Roy was funny too.
  8. Ah yes, good ol "Alexis on Fire" by King Leon. Good song.
  9. Nitro has Stunt Granny!
  10. It's the crapsite special, Brody. They took one sentence and turned it into an entire paragraph as if it was a major WON news item. "There was a lot of internal unhappiness regarding Matt Hardy’s turn getting out, particularly since they apparently changed the original idea because it had gotten out."
  11. As a white man, I often see my program guide list BET as airing blocks of shows I would enjoy watching (Family Matters, Diff'rent Strokes, and the like) but as a Canadian, I seem to be getting teased as it's always rap videos no matter what.
  12. Cogeco hasn't been updating the "Free Trial" menu for many months now (the odd time, the month's preview show might show up) but now that they did this month, I couldn't help but notice the "Raw Preview" is actually the entire episode. Has this been common? That's pretty cool that in theory someone could check that out and decide to subscribe, but I know that's hard with some cable companies. With Cogeco, every digital cable subscriber has access to every OnDemand menu, premium service or not, to check out what's there. When I visit out of town friends with Rogers, if you don't subscribe to a service, you can't even see the program listings, so this would not be helpful to them.
  13. As soon as I saw that kid I wished I was able to take a video snapshot to save for future reference or sig/av possibilities. Obviously WWE isn't going to shell out loads of money to licence music for one segment on a show that 115,000 people can see, but I have solutions on how that possibly could have been handled better (though some would argue this would be much worse): 1. Use "Shoot to Thrill" since they currently have the rights to the song for Mania 25 (the rights probably don't apply to this usage, though). 2. Use Eric Bischoff's theme - this would probably confuse people but it's a good meta reference. 3. Use the fake "Highway to Hell" music they use on the History of ECW. I either missed this Raw completely when it first aired or it somehow got erased from my memory. I thought the last episode was Neidhart's farewell to WCW but here he is, seeking revenge in a wrestling match (then getting booted to WCW). Taka/Aguila was fun while it lasted, Bull "Recon" Buchanan seemed to be trying really hard in that Four Corners match (which Cornette said "was like mixing 'TNT' with 'Nitroglycerin'" - quite the odd line to say), and Sunny was Sunny. The crowd was really into that final segment with Shamrock and Slaughter running wild too. I've pretty much resigned myself that it's going to be a lot of non-wrestling nostalgia enjoyment for a long time now, so to that end, I enjoyed Raw.
  14. Dejaview dropping Charles in Charge for Silver Spoons irked me.
  15. I think I've mentioned this before but I remember seeing Slaughter doing the intro for GI Joe one morning in 1991 and thinking "Oh good, he got his country back".
  16. I love black people though. I mean, I don't think I would ever love one, but you know how it rolls. Plus I told you, I have a black person in my family named Sunshine! I love all races (except the bad ones).
  17. No one seems to know except for whoever pulled the trigger, and they're keeping quiet. This sort of fast actin' Tanactin banning usually suggests Leena, but unless she was trying really hard to assimilate by posting the cards of potential "Pick Your Big One" cards in the 24/7 folder (like a newb would do for no apparent reason since it was already discussed), I don't see it.
  18. Well as was already pointed out to you, since he managed to make over 25 posts anyway, he would be out of larvae by now (so to answer a question you asked, no, it's not a 100 post group).
  19. Yeah maybe... one of the guys looks like Matt but the other doesn't really resemble Jeff. I'm taping this so I couldn't rewind to double check.
  20. http://superchannel.ca/movies/view/14347809/Kayfabe Ok then.
  21. My question was "why did someone leave their established race boundary for this woman", not "how did a plain woman get laid". Maybe I'm just subconsciously being racist about it and not realizing it.
  22. What the hell is Larissa Oleyeik up to these days anyway?
  23. Ha, I just noticed who the door opening jesters were. That's paying your dues (I believe this was briefly mentioned on the Hardys DVD from last Spring).
  24. Generally whenever they feel like it. Sometimes we find out from the Sunflower website first! I enjoyed Vengeance 02 but there might be bias since I was there. Edit: I seem to have Part 2 now too, and it has a standard 2 week expiry date. Call me Conspiracy Joe, but I have a feeling someone realized that the opening match had to be but (which is 15 minutes plus intros) and that cutting the opening match might come off as odd, so I have a feeling Part 1 will not even show up next week.
