And no North American Mega Man 1 box art allowed. I think every internet user has seen it 21 times (at least) by now. That crazy European MM2 cover where he looks all knight in weird armour? Go for that one though. I shall start the ball! Starting off with bad, I'm sure most of us are familiar with the Master System's awful, uninspired cover art. Here's one that's not only bad, but appears to be for a game that's obviously ripping a major license off: I really like the MSX cover for Contra - yeah, the standard cover is pretty cool too, but I like this one a lot: The red gives it a Virtual Boy feel, which isn't good, but let's ignore that since it obviously pre-dates the VB. You got creepy red, a target, a big ass gun, and kanji that looks kind of 'Godzilla-ish' in it's font type / colouring.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.
DrVenkman PhD replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
Can someone explain to me why TSM needed 3 different "Movie Character" drafts? Are people geting mad that someone else picked who they wanted to pick, causing them to start a new draft with the exact same rules to solidify their pick? -
I know a lot of people who like Gerry Dee. I do find his Italian Neighbours bit amusing.

Scroby, TNA isn't supposed to be like WWE, and was doing a great job back in 2004-2005, but this past year or so has been brutal. It seriously is WWE lite and it has no reason to be, and that's where my frustration comes in. I don't care if any other promotion does it, it sucks no matter who does it. I can deal with WWE since I'm loyal and I probably will never stop watching, but with the potential of TNA continuing to be flushed down the drain, it gets frustrating. With a well-booked year or two, TNA could actually truly be some competition to WWE, but they are nowhere close right now. That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. It's ok for the WWE to do it because you're more loyal to them? You're kidding right? If you break it down the points he makes are correct. TNA becoming WWE-Lite (and then making everything worse by making it Crash TV that makes no sense) is exactly what made them go from winning "Promotion" and "Show" Of The Year Awards to the internet's most hated show.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009

Expect a cleansing soon - I was very close to getting a record amount of low posts in the monthly mega thread but it's picked up in this last week of January. -
I said this to luke-o but I'll repeat it: The Wii is not for multi-platform games, different controls be damned. The Wii is for Nintendo licensed games featuring timeless characters like Mario and crew or games like Boom Blox that would be a bit dull with a standard controller. The Wii is not for SVR 09 or RE5. This is why there are two real consoles on the market.

Yeah, it's downright criminal to be looking forward to a new episode of a good show more than a regular football game that gets overhyped. Whoopie-do, someone threw a ball but the pass was incomplete! Haven't seen that before.

FOX Sunday Night 08/09 - now in HD!
DrVenkman PhD replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
I'm guessing it just means they added extra animation to fill out the 16:9 ratio and will be pretty much the same. It would be pretty blasphemous to change it completely. -
Kizarny couldn't even get a spot in this battle royal - crud. Kizarny buried himself in his first match. You'll never see him again. Kizarny is on the latest episode of the Scotty Goldman show.

"A month tops" implies you'd be mad if they took more than 4 weeks off.

My favourite Stunner sell is Sgt. Slaughter, back when it was sold as a jarring move instead of a knockout move. As time went on people generally sold it by going backwards, where-as going forwards like Slaughter (and possibly Lawler) always made it look move jarring and devestating. Slaughter especially, because he didn't go to his knees. Lawler takes one of my favourite Stunner bumps on a 1997 episode of Raw. Austin is reading some notice (I think the 'hold harmless' agreement to let him continue wrestling after his neck injury) and Lawler starts reading it over his shoulder on the house mic. Austin just reaches up and nails him with the Stunner, then kicks his crown to the ramp.

Yeah I saw the commercial on the Seattle FOX affiliate (and what kind of cheap ass station is this that their news isn't in HD?) but I haven't seen it on any of the local US stations.

I saw a commercial last night for Subway's Stimulus package ($2.99 six inch subs). Don't know if it was just a Seattle thing though.

On my way home from Toronto on VIA, we passed some town that had a train station that literally looked like a toolshed with a bench and pop machine outside. It was pretty awesome.

I never pass up the chance for some Art Donovan commentary. Savage: *Explaining his theory on Jim Neidhart turning heel* Art: Let me ask you guys a question... did you act like that in the ring? Monsoon: (Immediately ignoring Art's question) Do you really think Jim the Anvil is that smart?

Because it's going to be something zany like Kozlov trying to headbutt HHH but hitting his head on the glass of a chamber pod.
