I just saw the GameCube version commercial with Link as the focus on TNN, and that sold me. I'm a mark for Link, so if/when I get the game, it will most likely be for GameCube (I imagine it's also shinier than the PS2 version. Xbox probably looks the best but I don't have one).

In fairness Justin, I think a lot of the posts after page 1 are off but slightly related to the topic (ie Tom's work appearing elsewhere, my work appearing nowhere else). However, I too didn't have time to read every page, but in skimming that was the idea I picked up.

That's what I get for only checking the "Last Post" date. Let's make an edit to the above and say "Two WMAC Threads on Top at the same time"... which is pretty easy if the same person posts in both. I need to build a time machine and edit my above post before Mr. Jenkins points out how dumb I am, leaving me unable to edit it in the present. On the actual topic of WMAC, to me, the greatest fight on the show had to be between... two people, I forget how. But one was Hakim The Machine of Mortal Kombat The Movie fame vs. another guy, and they were fighing on the Earthquake ride at Universal Studios, complete with fake, fight disrupting Earthquake that caused them to cease the fight.

Wow two WMAC Master's threads at around the same time... better start praying to your faith's higher power, I think that's a sign of impending doom.

The last thing I remember was the nWo or whatever WMAC called them stole the Dragon Star belt and replaced it with a Red Dragon, much to the total shock of the WMAC guys who were fighting in the arena. Then some guy.. Tsunami, I think, ended up turning heel when it was revealed he was the one who delivered the belt to the army type guy and Chameleon. Good stuff.

Because God knows THAT doesn't happen often in the IWC.

Maybe he can't do it since bulking up? I actually have no memory of what his size was in WCW, though.

I should write a Shades of Gray right now and claim the official 1000... or just write one because it's been too long. Strange thing: I had a dream where I wrote a really good SOG, and it actually had real content in it (as opposed to content based on things that happened only in the realm of dreams) but sadly I remember nothing about it. I think tomorrow afternoon I'll just do a hodgepodge of random thoughts.. Bad Blood, Raw, SmackDown, Etc... maybe talk about movies I've seen, I don't know. Apparently it's not cool to have enjoyed Charlie's Angels 2 so I'll just keep shut about that.

Believe it or not, I think some good may come out of Billy Gunn winning the US title. Remember when he came back from an injury in 2000, was really over, so they gave him the IC title? Then remember everyone remembered they hated him, so they quickly put the belt on Benoit and kept Billy off PPV for months (until InVasion... then until Survivor Series)? In theory, the exact same thing could happen all over again, and since Matt is, according to the rumour, his scheduled feud guy, that will work in Hardy's favour. But still, Gunn stinks.

Mr. America ends up being Arnold Schartzenager (or however)... after he pimps T3 and bodyslams Big Show.

They said SHIT!~ on Gary the Rat! Seriously though, I liked Gary and Striperella. The latter had Maurice LeMarche and Mark Freakin Hamill doing his Joker voice for the villain. Gary the Rat was good, but nothign special I'll continue watching it. The new Ren And Stimpy... yeah.. anyway, I don't know about the other 2 shows, but I read in the paper that R&S only has around 6 episodes currently.

This was posted yesterday, but looking around the board I didn't see it. Maybe because his writing style at times looks like that of an AOL chat room user, I don't know, but here it is...

I love the new finisher but I assume the Dragon Sleeper is a finisher in reserves. It's not like he hit that new move on everyone (ie Big Show... but it's not like they'd let him beat Show anyway).

Well, going by WWE's official explanation, it sounds like it's mostly due to the Real Sports thing, and I can see why being fired for speaking your mind would upset you. But I also took from the statement that Piper was being difficult with them, just like he was in May. The Observer reported that the reason Mr. America vs. Roddy Piper was announced only one week before Judgment Day was because Piper had no contract and was almost out of the company the previous week, but they reached some sort of deal. To me, and this may be misinterpreting / buying too much into the official company spin, it sounds like they were trying to extend (or make official) a deal until August, but this new deal would include seeking rehab because the company feels he has a drug problem based on his HBO comments but Piper won't get rehab, so negotiations were stopped. I was ok with Piper being back, but I'm really not upset to see him go. The only real problem here is O'Haire is probably on the A-Train to Velocity, but based on various SmackDown reviews I've read in the past month, nobody likes O'Haire's in-ring work anyway, they just liked his cool promos before his re-debut.

Remember when everyone was cursing WWE for hiring an old, washed up Piper? Apparently not since people on various forums and IRC channels seem to be bitching about his release now. Anything to complain, I guess.

The way I understood it, they would be using it every Survivor Series at that shows yearly gimmick (like the Rumble's Rumble) to justify the $500,000 it cost to make.

Koch isn't giving out the release dates of those in advance (for now) so I don't know. Last year I e-mailed them three times asking for the release date of the Royal Rumble (they wanted to know what store I worked for the first two times). The general rule is 2 months (or more... or less) after the US release date (and lately, especially since our Canadian dollar is up, I say "screw that" and order from Amazon.com or cross the border and go to Best Buy in Dearborn). Sometimes the specialty videos seem to come out rather quickly, though.

The tape "Hulk Hogan's Greatest Matches" features Hulk Hogan & Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Sid Justice & Ric Flair. I just pulled that from a Coliseum Video match list website and have never seen it (or I saw it when I was 10 or 11 and don't remember it).

Hey Rob, I don't know if you're already aware of this, or if you yourself are behind it, but TV Tome is using your Confidential reviews for it's episode list.

Well I've never seen any of London in TNA but I'm convinced he's great from that match. I noticed he got a lot more offense in than the usual talent enhancement non-contracted job guys.
