    UFC 90: Silva vs Cote

Anderson Silva took a big shot from Hendo and returned with a big shot of his own, iirc. I probably shouldn't jinx it though.

    UFC 90: Silva vs Cote

Cote said he will "pull a Serra" in this fight. Poor choice of words considering he fucking trains with GSP from time to time. There's no logical way for him to win, not even the puncher's chance considering Anderson has one of the best chins in MMA. I hope we get MMA's first death, and I think it's likely we will. Just kidding! We already had a death in MMA.

You're right on the military not being the easy way out, it's actually pretty fucking tough. By easy way out I guess I meant in terms of a quick solution, rather than taking the time to actually think about what might be the best possible road to recovery. I'd also say the quick and easy fix never ends up well for a serious problem. For the smaller things in life, sure. But for something like what he's going through? Doubtful. DoPussy, no problem. Just know you're going to fail a bunch of times doing whatever it is you want to be doing before you get any better. If it was easy you'd have done it already.

And what the hell is wrong with that? It will just make the problem worse. The quick and easy fix always look more appealing, but it never ends up well. A guy with all his mental problems will only end up worse off being treated like shit. In this particular situation, I see Private Pyle killing his commanding officer before blowing off his face with a rifle in the middle of the night.

That word gets thrown around far too often though. There's also so many categories under it. That's probably one of the most overused terms by amateur psychologists, as Czech put it. Wanting to fuck a cousin and suck your sister's feet is fucked up though. I don't know what the term is for that.

I'm the same age as you and that shocks me actually, considering that you come off as much whinier and more immature than I'd expect a grown man to be. It amazes me to read about the shit you're putting yourself through. That's important to keep in mind by the way, most of the issues you have are all created in your own head. Nobody is laughing at you, nobody is judging you when you walk, nobody gives a fuck. It's all just your own self-loathing. Force yourself out of your comfort zone, live a little and you'll realise little by little what you are capable of, which is a lot. The best part is, the more you try new things, the easier it becomes later and you learn that most of what you were afraid of wasn't really worth thinking about in the first place. Of course it all starts with YOU. None of the people here can hold your hand and force you to do anything. It's all about you willing to take your life back. At the end of the day you're still a young chap, so don't worry about lost time. You'd be surprised at how much time you have left. Don't join the army, that's the easy way out, unless you have a strong desire to actually help out your country. From the sound of it though you're just looking at someone else to help kick your ass for you, which means you're just digging the hole even deeper. DIY is not just an outdated punk slogan you know.

    Affliction: Day of Reckoning

Rumour had Cotto vs. Margarito II for this card. I would have been more interested in that than any MMA fight Affliction could put together.

    The worst rotten food ever.

My cousin lives in somewhat of a ghetto area in Toronto, and in one of the convenience stores I went into near his house, there was a box of pop tarts on the shelf from 1994. I had to do a double take because while the box looked faded and the font looked pretty mid-90s, I still couldn't imagine a store selling something that old.

This is what I was getting at. Nick Diaz has been dropped, but has the wetback spirit that LeiTong holds so dear, you know, the kind that Julio Cesar Chavez and MAB made a career out of. He's not been dropped as much as Alvarez though, and the guys that have knocked him down are some of the biggest power punchers in MMA. Also, I accepted the possibility of Alvarez winning on cuts, so yes Curry, I do believe that it's possible for him to open a vagina on Diaz' head.

That's his take on the pictures... That's also his bad grammar and capitalization. I'm amazed that people actually think he's gay. Not that it's common, but a lot of guys, especially in university, dress up in androgynous shit for stupid costume parties and the like all the time. He went a little overboard, but I guess he's just one of the crazy ones.

It's true, if anything Alvarez has shown himself to be far more chinny in his career, getting dropped in pretty much all of his DREAM fights. Not that this is not understandable, he faced tough strikers all the way through and came back to beat them all. Diaz has only been finished once, after fighting in a tournament and getting gassed and going against a guy who was a far better striker (at the time) as well as being much fresher. Also, he was like what, 19 at the time? He took Robbie Lawler's, Gomi's and Noons' hardest shots and didn't go down. While Alvarez has fight ending power, I don't see him being able to use it on a guy like Diaz. I can only see him winning a decision where he batters him around, or cuts him for a stoppage. If anything, I think it's far more likely to see Diaz use his reach and knock him out long range. Like you said though, he's hot and cold. Also, didn't he run through Fickett? I don't remember him struggling much in that one.

That's not MMAth, that's the cold hard truth that Alvarez got beat up by a WW who is essentially a JTTS. Every time Nick Thompson has faced someone worthwhile at WW he's gotten his ass handed to him. That certainly means something, especially considering Nick Diaz has spent a career out of giving top WW's tough fights. I still say beating Lawler is more impressive than any of those also. I know you said at LW, but I don't see why that should be irrelevant, considering wins at a higher weight class might even be more impressive.

Yeah I misread that, but I still think he deserved the decision over Karo, not Sanchez though. He DID beat Gomi (Fuck a CSAC) and he beat Lawler too. The Gomi win trumps everything else. Also, Alvarez lost to Nick Thompson, who was pistol whipped by Karo. Nick Diaz has made a habit of facing bigger comp his whole career, as has Alvarez before this year. I think it's going to be a great fight, but considering how Flaky Diaz can be, this might be Alvarez' fight to lose. If Diaz comes in like he did against Gomi though, then I think he takes it. It all depends on him in my opinion. The Denny fight leads me to believe that he might come in off-beat again.

That was pretty sweet, and yeah, Joe Rogan gets more coolness points for still being a normal guy who watches fights in a shitty wood paneled basement, so he can chill with his BROS.

Is that a fucking joke? I thought when you didn't realise BJ Penn was once the best LW in the world you just hadn't been watching MMA that long, but it sounds like you just have a really shitty memory. Diego Sanchez, Karo Parisyan and Takanori Gomi all SCREAM hello. Robbie Lawler tried, but he's kind of retarded.

I know you're probably pleased about this, but I was pretty disappointed because I had high hopes for Thierry. I've actually been helping him with this fight (not much, but we did some wrestling together and some footwork drills also. He was getting really good at cutting off the ring) and I've seen him work with Firas for a few weeks now and he looked like a man possessed. His striking was unreal and his speed and timing with the mitts was awesome. I thought he was gonna knock out Hioki who seems to have a tendency to be lackadaisical, and I was almost right. A shame, really.

Here's the deal; I'm not calling him a nigger. But his gimmick is that he IS a nigger. This isn't really anything we don't know, I mean honestly. You're fooling yourself if you think the guy's schtick has anything to do with his fighting. It has everything to do with his look and persona, much of which has to do with him being a stereotypical thugged out dumb black man. I'm sure Kimbo is a smart dude, he has to be. But the bottom line is that one of the reasons he is popular, the main one, is that he is a big, ripped, mean looking black guy who talks like he's from the ghetto (he is, but he's a lot smarter than he lets off) and acts like a disrespectful little cunt, who gained his fame fighting people on the street. That's what he's being marketed as, that's part of the appeal. I'm just calling a spade a spade.

You're a dumbass. Using this logic, you'd be much happier watching Danny Bonaduce knock out one of the Olsen twins in celebrity boxing than watching Edgar vs. Griffin from UFC 67. Most MMA fans like watching good fights, and don't give a shit about business or general interest. A good fight means plenty to MMA, and is good for business. Bonnar and Griffin were no name fighters who had an action packed fight that helped lift the UFC up to where we are today. That's what happens when you build legitimate fighters. Urijah Faber was a no-name fighter not too long ago, and now he's slowly becoming a star because he's whooping ass, not because he's a big scary looking nigger with fights on the internet. I would like proof that most MMA fans care about business, or "general interest" whatever that means. I would argue in the first place that if you're not interested in watching solid, competitive fighting than you're not a fan. I can assure you that trying to cater to the freakshow demographic is not a sustainable business strategy. All these internet retards that talk about "ITS GOOD FOR BUSINESSSS~!!!!" don't understand how fucking stupid it is to base your company around a fucking street fighter with no ground training. If it's such a great business, why did it blow up in their face? Horrible business move, and I don't applaud charlatans like Gary Shaw who manipulate the stupidity of the general public (people like you, apparently) and try to legitimize Bob Sapp v0.1 (at least Bob Sapp hung in there with some decent comp) vs. a WWF Intercontinental champion (because no matter how you spin it, Shamrock's popularity has always been tied into the fact that he was a rassler). I'm sure that things are going real well for EliteXC right now, and that they're not having any problems behind the scenes WHATSOEVER

Not Rua, Bustamente. Which was the NYE show actually (Ninja fought Dan way back in '01), a card that Bennett himself actually fought on. The video is edited, I think to skip a bit of Bennett falling asleep, and just going straight to him being OUT.

I think Bennett was talking shit because Dan Henderson just beat Murilo, talking about Americans>Brazilians and obviously Chute Boxe didn't take too kindly to that. Anyway, rather than just shit talk, he ambushed Cristiano Marcello and the other guys just let it go on.

The infamous Chute boxe vs. Bennett backstage brawl: So I guess he didn't knock out Wanderlei after all. Still, this is pretty hardcore and barbaric to just let the two guys go at it till one of them just gets choked unconscious, without any attempt at some sort of conflict resolution. Not that I'm complaining, but it is what it is.

    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

Those guys are far too experienced for him at this point and all would probably murder him, style matchups alone. A guy like Quarry is well-rounded enough to test him while giving him a chance to choke out another Team Quest fighter.
