I didn't mean that you contributed nothing, but you never contribute to your "causes", so to speak. Also, I don't know when the last time was that you bitched about something, but whenever it was was also the last time I've seen you post. I'm pretty indifferent to the whole thing though.

Actual advice for the man that started the thread; WORK YOUR ASS OFF. Don't look for excuses and don't feel sorry for yourself. If your teachers feel that your papers are that bad, take the necessary precautions to improve upon it. Ask WHY it was so bad. I've realised that when one is struggling at something and is unsure of the outcome of their work, that the best way to go is work alot and to plan alot. Write draft after draft after draft, and give it to your prof/teacher, ask for pointers and what you could do to improve, etc. I guarantee that if you do this that you will NOT fail again. It's all about planning and working a helluva lot. If you're thinking that it's too much work, than you have no fucking pride whatsoever.

Thanks for filling in man.

While I really don't care much for anything going on in the thread, from observation I've noticed that you tend to bitch about lack of discussion on this forum about various topics, yet contribute nothing to it yourself. Porn being the most common one.

On behalf of everyone that posts after me, I'm surprised that they used mostly NWA/WCW stuff as opposed to heavily biased WWF stuff. Well, I'm not, but I said on behalf of everyone else right?

Okay.

I was gonna make a joke about expecting to read something SLIGHTLY funny only to read complete garbage, but I'm too tired to do it. So I'll leave you with these words of wisdom: "You know what a strip club is? It's Tim Horton's with liquor."

Speaking of which, the video in which he glorified violence and kicking ass, and than mourned his friend's death, whom most likely died because someone else had shot him. I could go on and on about the ridiculousness of that video, but I'll stop there.

Oh man, I don't know what to say. I'm listening to the Grand Champion right now and it's pretty damn funny. His lyrics are just soooo terrible. "The D to the M to the X, y'all niggas havin sex with the same sex." HA! I know most songs with lyrics are generally considered bad by somebody, but this shit is universal. Who else finds this hilarious? I won't even get into how bad of an actor he is in the video (YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!) or the latest heartfelt rap ballad with "AYO KATO", complete with every cliched idea possible, both in the video and the actual song. I actually do a pretty good DMX impression myself, which only reveals how ridiculous this crap is. Oh Lord is this shit so bad it's brilliant. Anyone else feel the same way I do? If you don't know much about Dark Man X (it just doesn't stop), or rap in general, what other bands/artists do you find so bad they're hilarious? Actually, let's try to make this more about EARL SIMMONS, as he hasn't had much discussion devoted to him at TSM...

It's not a perfect world because you don't have the opportunity to get into more fights and settle your problems like an idiot? That's great. Fighting to settle actual problems is stupid, especially when you do it with a group of people. Fighting for no reason at all and than buying the poor bastard a drink after= teh goodnezz.

Catholic Church to Africa: Don't use condoms
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
And wrong. "Condom use rates have also markedly increased in Uganda, especially in non-regular sexual relationships. Between 1995 and 1998, there was no significant decline in the proportion (about 10%) of people reporting having at least one non-regular sexual partner in the last 12 months; however, the proportion of people using a condom in the last sexual encounter with a non-regular sexual partner in the last 12 months more than doubled from 33% in 1995 to 50.7% in 1998." - UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs And no, Uganda doesn't have the lowest rate of HIV infection in Africa either. Senegal's is something like one-tenth of Uganda's, and some other west African countries are lower still. YPoV, this is getting to be a habit. You seem to be a halfway decent poster, you're unfailingly civil, and you always address the subject at hand concisely and substantively. However, any figures, evidence, or data you offer are usually false. I'm starting to instinctively question practically everything you say, because I don't know if you're deliberately advancing questionable or incorrect data in order to further your own arguments, or if you really don't know that what you're saying is simply not true. Frankly, if at this point you told me that there's a lot of oil in Saudi Arabia, I'd call the DoE and check the figures. Unless you're happy to reduce your credibility with every post, I suggest you do some basic research before making false assertions. Or become a better liar. Wrong wording. I meant that the drop in HIV rate was substantial in Uganda, as they had it go from something like 20-30% to 8% in ten years. My point was that abstinence seems like a logical step, as the intensive behavioural changes have been successful, and while there are other options, at a time like this, this seems to be the best one. After the president started those programs the HIV rate has dropped significantly. I mean really, it seems much safer to make sure that the people with HIV don't have sex, as opposed to using a condom. I think that point still stands. Why risk spreading it and making the situation worse? I mean, if the church tried convincing young people in First World Nations to not have sex, well, that's a different story. Their intentions are good. "Halfway decent poster" I guess that's about the nicest thing that Marney will ever say to me. Unfailingly Civil? Just a nice guy. "Better Liar" Eh, I don't lie really, or make this stuff up. I just happen to be too trusting of sources that I get this sort of information from, and am pretty gullible. When that happens, I come off as an idiot. -
Who cares about that? Did you win the bar fight? Yes. And I'm not mad that I got in trouble. I'm mad that I had to stay over night. I broke the guy's arm in SELF DEFENCE. Jerk said that Gretzky sucked. I disagreed. He insulted my mother's integrity. I made fun of his face. He hit me with a bottle. I broke his arm. If you were a REAL Canadian you would've hit him after he knocked Gretzky.

Most beautiful music you know......
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Music
I had never heard the song before, but I now agree with Kinetic regarding St. Elmo's Fire. In an attempt to sound smart, I'm gonna say that's some pretty good mixing and sampling he's doing, or at least that's the way it sounds. So many different sounds, yet it all falls together. -

"Telepopmusik - Breathe" This is that song. That song where someone asks you why you like it so much, and you're like, it's, it's just...beautiful. -
Hmm, that's a pretty cool story. The only interesting story I have is that I was threatened with arrest for standing in front of a mall waiting for a ride. Never mind that thirteen year old kids are not only doing the same thing but SMOKING as well, I'm standing in front of the mall waiting for a ride. I must be up to something.

Can we go back to hating DMX? "Ay yo, ay yo, ay yo What's my name? DMX and I be the best You see the rest they lookin like they need a rest" HAHAHA. Oh man, it's pretty sad that I remember most of this shit, but it's pretty much by osmosis.

I'm pretty sure it was called....Southern Rock. I still see ads for it. It was where I first heard that song, Hold On Loosely. The album was pretty much standard Redneck Road Trip music.

Catholic Church to Africa: Don't use condoms
Your Paragon of Virtue replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Well, if they're promoting abstinence and chastity in the midst of the current HIV epidemic in Africa, wouldn't that be the right thing to do? Uganda spent no money on such programs regarding contraception, but rather into chastity and abstinence programs. Lo and behold, Uganda last I checked had the lowest HIV rate in all of Africa. I understand what you guys are saying, but perhaps it's not a bad thing if instead of using condoms to have sex, that the people who are at risk of HIV just don't have sex at all. It seems like the safest alternative, given their situation. Hell, even in here; if any of you were about to have sex with someone that was HIV positive, even while wearing a condom, would you have sex with them? I sure as hell wouldn't. -
Off to play with Maynard Ferguson

I'm sure this surprises no one. How many people were at the concert? -
Ahh, okay. Well if you want a guy just send me a PM.

It has to be vertical or horizontal. I'm pretty sure you can't get a diagonal. Never played the game though.

Why, how long do you think it took to write? Everything I've ever read about it suggests that it began at least half a century after Jesus's death. Faith is personal for me. And no, I don't mean that in the sense that I make an exception to my homosexuality for Jesus every Sunday. I'm not a female version of SpiderPoet. I mean simply that my faith is my business; I'm conflicted about it and I don't think my doubts lessen my faith. I think my doubts of, my confusion about, and my anger towards God make my faith stronger. As far as I know, the Roman records don't mention Jesus even once. I've heard anywhere from thirty to sixty years after his death, just like you said. While most use this as something that would deny the existence of Jesus, in actuality it only strengthens the case. This is actually fairly soon for biographical information to be recorded about someone else, as most other books around the time period have books written about 200 years later at the least. The most glaring example would be the first known biography of Alexander the Great, which from what I remember offhand is about six hundred years later. Thirty years, or sixty, whatever, is considerably shorter than the norm of that period. To deny the bible would be to deny most accounts of history from the period, biographical or not. Questioning it only makes it stronger, that is true. I never debate or question another person's faith, which is pretty much a personal thing. That's why I have no right to go up to someone and deny their beliefs in God, or lack thereof. Roman Records do have "Jesus of Nazareth" in there, as they kept records of pretty much everything during their rule, which is pretty much the first time that any civilization has kept specific records of everything that have gone on. Skeptics would rather challenge the issue of whether or not "Jesus of Nazareth" would be the same Jesus that we depict in the Bible. -

Because most other Christians denigrate my religion through association, by their stupidity, their intractability, and their dishonesty. And I don't argue against the existence of God because it can neither be proven nor disproven. I sometimes express my reasons for doubt but I have few firm convictions either way. Just a lot of questions. "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein: The Human Side, ed H Dukas, B Hoffman 1954 If by "reliable" you mean a fairly decent moral guide for the most part, I agree. If by "reliable" you mean "historically accurate and independently corroborated," I do not. Fair enough about your views on Christianity. I stand corrected about Einstein. I think that there is more truth to the New Testament than most people give it credit for. They generally give blanket statements without knowing most of the facts, for instance the thought processes that went into it, the actual facts about how long it took to write, etc. I assumed that since you're a Christian, that you would at least put some faith in it. I also think that it's affirmation is helped by Roman Records and that Josephus character, at least I think that was his name. -
Never said you in specific, but alot of the people in this thread fall under that category.

Are you talking about the message board? I can pretty much make a Card Preview and Review for each from the Big Two, aka Pride and the UFC.
