I just picked up Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence recently, as in I downloaded it. I've never bought a CD in my life, don't intend on changing. I am that 15 year old kid that is being referred to in the latest Resonant Frequency column over at Pitchfork. Anyways, I picked up Van Halen I, on the request of others, than promptly deleted it. Shit shit shit.

Okay, so I'm downloading a PRIDE vid, that's about 572 MB. I leave it on, I come back the next day, and it still says that it's looking for a download. Fair enough, except that I also see that it has transferred 584 MB! Can someone please explain that, but it sure as hell is confusing the hell outta me.

THe thing with Edonkey is that it had about 15 MB extra, and I didn't know what the hell it was doing. It just kept looking for a transfer that never came, and I deleted it because I felt that the file might have been corrupted. Would there have been any way for me to find how much longer it would have taken to download? By the way, does Emule have this same problem? Is speed the only difference?

Why does one automatically have to assume that one of them has to die? I'm assuming he meant that it's sort of like a penalty, but I didn't know that they bumped up the price for speeding from a ninety-dollar ticket to your life...

It could be that the other driver couldn't handle the situation. Besides, a 78 year-old man probably isn't the best of drivers anyway, could just be my opinion though.

I was watching a Don Johnson video yesterday(I believe that dipshit from Miami Vice) and the song was called "Heartbeat". Terrible song, in every which way, even had the obligatory ballad solo, you know what I'm talking about. The lyrics were also shitty, as I think he was trying to tug for teenage girl heartstrings. The video was funny though, he's a reporter who is in some war-torn country, and than he focuses on stalking...ermm, I mean "following" and videotaping women that he doesn't even know. Best part was when he saves some kid from an explosion, than tosses him into the dirt, leaving the kid to probably get shot or something. Of course they didn't show that, but in a scene of war who the hell wouldn't die in the crossfire? Anyways, I'm more or less asking if any of you can recall actors that sing...badly that is. Is there any other way?

Can someone explain to me the differences between the ethics of these two? Like how much can a child develop before an abortion would be considered murder?
