Well, the next Final Fantasy game (that always seems like a contradiction to me, but oh well) is coming out on the 31st, but reviews are starting to come in. It apparently lives up to the family name as the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. IGN - 9.5/10 GameBrink - 93/100 1up - 9.5/10 Famitsu Weekly (no link) - 10/10 Just thought I'd beat Yuna to the punch and start up a discussion thread for it.

What I've just read is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seem. At no point in his rambling, incoherent response was he even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having seen it. I award him no points, and may God have mercy on his soul. Seriously, claiming that Jeff Bagwell is the kingpin of the entire major league baseball steroid problem based on pixie dust and conjecture? I'm praying that the guy is joking, because if he isn't he oughta be in a padded cell with a nice tight white jacket on. And NYankee go ahead and just say you don't think Bagwell should get in because he's an Astro. Go ahead and say it. You've come up with every other excuse under the sun and been statistically rebuffed, so this is about all you've got left.

Man, the hunting really chews up the time. I'm back to getting through the storyline but taking out plenty of time to do the hunts, and before I know it I'm at 91 hours. I don't think I've ever spent that much time on a game (although I'm pretty sure it's counting the times I've left it on pause and gone to do a couple of things around the house). My characters are all pretty powerful (all around 52, the board's done for all of them except for the espers) and I've given Vaan the Zodiac Spear, so he's pretty much a killing machine. The only bad thing is that I've used an Esper a grand total of one time in this game. Getting them is fun because of the challenge but I don't see the need for them.

Pauly Shore gets punched on stage...

Eh, it's Odessa. They're not the smartest people in the world. There's a reason why they're all alone out there in their own little corner of West Texas. They'll go watch their high school football team and forget all about it. -
I think Asencio's a pretty average pitcher who's already got a Tommy John Surgery under his belt. Not great stats at least. Don't know anything about his stuff. The worst part of this is going to the Juice Box and hearing: "Now starting for your Houston Astros, Wandy Rodriguez!" They'd better sign Jennings to an extension.

Devin Hester is obscene.

I'll vote for Viva in the hope that he wins. He will then attempt to defend his championship by posting even more Astros related posts. Besides, us Astros homers need to stick together.

They're ending RAW on a promo for next week? Odd. It seems like they were trying to fill in some dead time at the end of the broadcast. -

Geez all Victoria has to do is cut someone open and paint "DIE!" on herself with their blood and we'll be set. Did Lawler forget Carlito was coming out? Masters nearly ran into him exiting the ring. -

They haven't done dog collar at all in WWE, have they? Or are they saving that for a singles match? Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole match? Spin the wheel and make a deal I guess. -

Hey Edge, you might want to avoid the top rope moves for the rest of the night. Not having a lot of luck with them tonight. -

Doane really needs to go by "Ken" now. No one's going to take him seriously when he runs around being called "Kenny". He's got enough to get past as it is. -

Cena's bribing people to show up for RAW! And a "Kick his ass" chant? -
Beyond Good and Evil. Not really obscure since it got a lot of critical pub when it came out, but none of my friends have played it. I never got to finish it (the HD on my modded Box went kablooey) which I regret because it was actually a very entertaining game.

Not a bad night for Eddie. Made him the second best center in the NBA for the night.

I think it's more like "Miller saw it the movie he was young, inspired him to make the story into a graphic novel when he got older." That sort of thing.
-
Yeah, picked it up in a Wal-Mart bargain bin for like 6 bucks. Apparently it's Miller's inspiration for The 300? That's what I heard, so it could be pure conjecture.

I'm going to find it more humorous seeing all the Yankee fans that have spent the last 3 years bitching about Andy leaving their precious team and hating on him suddenly jumping on his badwagon again. Then, when his sore elbow leads to an ERA approaching 5 they'll start bitching about him again. I'm sorry folks but AP had an ERA of 4.50 in the league that couldn't hit! BTW, what does the Lee signing have to do with any of this? The Astros made Hendricks a competitive offer, they refused. Big deal.
