To be fair, I'm pretty sure the Texans never really thought Boselli was going to play again, or if he did certainly not anywhere near the level he was at. Basically he was cap relief for the Jaguars in exchange for the Jags keeping Seth Payne and Gary Walker exposed. That being said, they've really gotten screwed on the FA market (Young, Wade). I'm starting to believe that Eric Winston and Charles Spencer can be the bookend tackles they've been looking for since day 1.

Seconded. I didn't exactly have high hopes for it, more in the range of "passable". Instead, I got a load of crap with a nice gloss of pretty effects. But then again this IS EA we're talking about. I think that's what they do best.

Actually, the fact that Bebop's music doesn't have a common theme appeals to me. I'm not a huge jazz fan, but Kanno's jazz-fusion/whatever music (to me) is good to listen to on it's own with no context. I haven't heard much of the OSTs, but "No Reply" is one of my favorite pieces of music from any TV show. Other favorites of mine include "Hey Pumpkin Head" and "Bad Dog, No Biscuits". As to comparing it to the .Hack series, I'll have to go back and check for myself. I don't have part 3 (bought the game used) but I've got the rest of it. I'll maintain an open mind and check it out again though. It's been so long since I've seen it I've pretty much forgotten it.

If Lee does sign with the Giants, I'm praying they resign Bonds. They'll need about 3 or 4 CFs to rotate as they run themselves into the ground.

The reason you never see the penalty called is that usually no one's stupid enough to hit the snapper on a punt block. That's something you learn not to do in high school. Actually, I used to love doing that to the deep snapper in high school (they didn't have that rule until I got to college). We'd watch game films on Monday and the center would go flying. Always got a laugh. Then, when I started to deep snap in semipro ball, I learned to appreciate the rule. You feel VERY vulnerable with your feet 4 feet apart and your head between your knees looking backwards and upsidedown.

I thought Monty was falling out of favor in TNA because he didn't want to work their schedule due to his outside interests? If he didn't want to work TNA's schedule, how long is he going to want to work WWE's?

They will break the PS3's on their tummies!! Eh, couldn't find a picture of the SP otters in 30 seconds of looking.

According to this I'm...surprisingly middle of the road. Economic Left/Right: 1.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.41 Always thought of myself closer to the right end of the spectrum. -

I know he has to pull his punches and I'm not arguing it (shit, if I were his opponent I wouldn't care how bad it looked as long as he did it). I'm just saying that he can probably make it look a little less obvious. It's obvious he's got a ton of charisma and looks like he's always having fun when he's in front of a camera. He's a showman. That confrontation video is great. I like the person laughing off camera. Bob does that on TNA, he's instantly a top face. -
A friend and I have been co-oping it the last couple of nights. Getting pretty close to the end, but I had my first "about to break my controller" episode with my 360. Riding the mine carts just about drove me nuts, until I figured out the pattern. It seemed like every time one of us made it through the gauntlet, the other one would get killed by one of those fucking exploding Wretches. However, fighting those Theron Guards was a lot of fun. And yes, I *heart* the bow. It sucks having to wait to pull the bowstring, but there's a sense of satisfaction in watching a drone or guard run around with an arrow sticking out of him and then exploding. BTW, I like the names of some of the achievements. I especially like the pop culture references (defeating a Berserker = "My Love for You is Like a Truck" and using the Hammer of Dawn on 100 in multiplayer = "Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em").

Based upon the Muta match, it looks like Sapp can sell a little bit, but he pulls his kicks and punches WAY too much. I did like his gutwrench suplex at the beginning though. And the plancha is a WTF moment. If they let him stick to brute force moves and have someone in there that can cover his weaknesses, he oughta be ok. Oh yeah, he has to keep the entrance as well. As for SoCal Val, I had to look her up as I've never heard of her. If I'm correct, isn't she a whiny daddy's girl? This will be quite a departure for her, unless they have her getting back at daddy. Hey, make her Larry Zbysko's daughter! Wait, didn't he get fired for losing the Eric Young match? -
There's a reason why it was labelled a spoiler CBright.

I forgot about the Golden Amulet. Hmmm... I don't know about taking on a Mark II hunt, but I'll see what I can do. Trying to think... I don't believe I've been to the Omir Sandsea yet. Might have to wander over there and try it out. BTW I do like the inclusion of the occassional "big guy" in the territories. I remember wandering around trying to fill up my Sunstone and thinking those two werewolves couldn't be as tough as they looked. Oops .

The missing member of The Gorillaz finally makes an appearance.

Yeah Balthier's a real smartass. He's not Auron, but I can see him filling Auron's "fan favorite" role pretty well. Anyone got a good LP milk point for early 20's level characters? I can keep running the mines I suppose but the skeletons are getting a bit old. Also, what level should be pretty safe for completing that Mark I hunts? I've finished the cactaur, wolf, wraith, and Nidhogg ones but there's still like 4 or 5 (including the ones in the clan hall) left. I suppose I could just accept them for later.
-
*gets taken away from SD/Cin* NFL regulations suck.
-
I'm just milking LPs out of the mines. Killing skeletons gets old as shit after a while, but it's the wuickest method I can find of powering up my characters. I'm going to have to head to the Giza Plains next to advance the story, and I've heard I might want to be a bit overpowered before I go in there. Everyone's still basically in the same role as how they started except Vaan (spears) and Penello (mage). Unfortunately Penello's a bit difficult to Gambit for, since she doesn't have enough MPs to be a pure mage, and she doesn't take a hit very well so she can't melee very much. To be honest, I like the combat system and the license board, but the game as a whole just doesn't appeal to me as much as X. I don't know why. With X, I'd sit there and roam around just to look around. This one though just doesn't have the same draw.
-
Yeah that seems to be the main problem reviewers have had with the controls is that the action button is responsible for a bit too much. The game automatically assumes you want to hide under cover you end up getting "sucked" into it before you can jump over it.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Jesus. The ref took long enough getting in there to stop it. I think that last punch dislocated his jaw by about 3 inches. -
Yeah that's actually one of the songs disgustipated has on Youtube but I didn't link to it just because I disliked the vocals so much. But hey, at least Courtney got paid so there's that.
-
Yeah some of the voicework is pretty rough. "Mother" isn't too bad, although he tries too hard to sound like Danzig at a couple of points. "Them Bones" is better than average. I guess on some songs I'm so used to associating a song to a particular person/group that I can't help but compare the cover to the original. BTW do you get a bonus for using the whammy bar? On some GH videos I've seen (the "Freebird" above, one of "More Than A Feeling") they use the damn thing so much the song sounds like it's been put through a mixer set to "Underwater".
-
No. Just kidding. Disgustipated's actually done most of the work on GH2 via a hacked demo disc. Freebird Killing In the Name Of Them Bones Mother Echelar's probably the best of the 3. Here's some of his 100%s: Expert Sharp Dressed Man Hard SArmstr0ng: Even Rats Crossroads Take Me Out The Breaking Wheel

Inaccurate? If you mean in the historical sense, to be fair it's supposed to be an adaptation of a comic book (GRAPHIC NOVEL), not a historical account. If you mean inaccurate in regards to adapting Frank Miller, I wouldn't know since I've never read it. Eaither way I've been waiting for this movie for a long time (it's up there just below Spider Man 3 and The Transformers on my "most anticipated" list) and the trailer looks really nice. I didn't think Nine Inch Nails and ancient Greece would be a good match, but there ya go.
-
Go to Youtube and look up the users "Echelar" and "disgustipated". Two of the better players I've seen. For humor, look up "SArmstr0ng". He makes some real nice quality videos and makes his own little introductions that are (usually) pretty funny.

Eh it shipped today. The clock is ticking now. Gotta finish up KH2 and get as much of FFXII done as I can before it arrives.
