The organization seems to be heavily leaning towards keeping Papelbon as their closer for the forseeable future and are now stretching Hansen out to be a starter. At least that's what they have told Hansen recently. Hansen has 3-4 PLUS pitches while right now Papelbon has at best 2 PLUS pitches and that's all you need in a 1-2 inning role especially with his arm strength.
I do not want Willis in Boston if it means moving Pedroia and/or Lester. I much rather look forward to seeing Lester, Hansen, and Beckett fronting this rotation coming 2007 and beyond. Pedroia, Lowrie, and Ellsbury(CF prospect compared to Damon) will be a fine young middle of the field as well. Afterall we dont't really want to become the Yankees.
