Wrestling Roster Draft: Luxe & Reduxe
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Martle is a good pick. I like him but not this high. I figure the Morton pick was worth the gamble as you know who is useless without him while Morton has some singles value. And my #1 dream match would have been Austin vs Savage. Them in a no holds barred match would've been wild. -

Well here goes a risk but a calculated one because, unlike his partner, this guy can still be used as a solo guy: Ricky Morton -

For my next pick, I take the guy I almost chose last time. He's not really a great worker (or even a good one) but he is versatile because he can play heel, face, strong, coward, badass, cocky, just about anything. He can hang on the mic with anybody and has always been over. And I can use him as both a solo main eventer or upper midcarder or as a tag team with Hall. Plus his charisma is perfect for the 'Hollywood' type fed I'm building, we are set in LA afterall. So without further adieu, a smarks worst nightmare: 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash -
My keepers are, for now, Harris, Horford and, the recently resurgent, Chandler. AI is still in the mix though.

I was THIS close to taking Heenan isntead of Hall and basically running the Heenan Family/Hogan feud with the Rock. Great pick. -

I'm thrilled at how good Taken is doing. I thought it was a phenomenal thriller so I'm very happy it has those legs. -
Wrestling Roster Draft: Luxe & Reduxe

After spending a while choosing between this guy and his best buddy, I finally made up my mind. This guy is a great talker and a solid worker who is equally adept at playing heel and face. Plus, being in LA, I think he'd be a big draw for the Latino population. Might be a bit high for him but whatever. Razor Ramon -
Looks cool but I, as well, will sit this one out.

Sorry I was away from the comp the past 2 days. Fuck that hiatus took a bunch of guys I wanted. So my pick to feud with the Rock is: Ravishing Rick Rude -

I can go so many ways with the Rock (he works as #1 heel or #1 face) that I'm not very concerned with who is still around when it's my turn. But there is one guy I have my eye one who, it would be nice if he stuck around. -

Sorry, I had no idea this had started. Home Territory: Los Angeles, California Home Arena: Staples Centre And since I'm based in the city of bright lights and Hollywood, who better to lead my company than Hollywood's biggest wrestling star. He can wrestle, he's unselfish and can talk people into the building: The Rock -
"Macho Man" Randy Savage DVD talk
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Enigma's topic in WWE Multimedia
Apparently legit: "He was one of the most controversial superstars in history of sports entertainment, through his complicated relationship with Miss Elizabeth, his dramatic WWE championship tournament run at WrestleMania IV, the formation and explosive breakup of the MegaPowers with Hulk Hogan, his reign as the Macho King, and his shocking jump to WCW. Would I be able to have an extended deadline on Iverson? Where he signs will directly affect whether I keep him or not.
-
Well injuries have slaughtered my season so it's time to look to the future. Just about everyone on my roster is available for trade except for Devin Harris. I'm looking at Harris and a comination of Horford, Howard and Iverson as keepers but that will greatly depend on where AI lands in the offseason.

True, but the Spurs have a lot of junk/expiring contracts. Check out this trade I made: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...p;te=&cash= Ime Udoka (PSU represent!), Jacque Vaughn, Kurt Thomas, Roger Mason, and Michael Finley for Vince Carter. VC has 4 years left on his $14mil contract and all of the guys the Spurs would send have 1 or 2 years left (the 2 year guys being Mason and Thomas). Spurs clear out some cap room, and get Vince Carter, while the Nets can try and keep Finley, Mason, or Udoka... not to mention SA would have VC, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli which is a pretty fab foursome. Another way they could try and work it is by trading Manu, but that would be kinda pointless. Word out of Jersey is George Hill and Roger Mason are the 2 guys the Nets want. While the Spurs would include Bowen and Finley with the understanding they'll be waved and resign with the Spurs. And as much as I hate the guy, Vince would be a huge acquisition. If anyone have get him to give a shit, it's Popovich and Duncan.

The Miami trade would be a godsend for the Suns. Clear Amare's salary and still can realistically compete, this year and next, with Nash/Shaq/Beasley/Richardson
-
I know it's just a rumor but I have NO idea why LA would do that. When Bynum comes back, they'll be such a logjam. Not to mention risking Shaq/Kobe tension. They do remain, however, porbably the only team that Shaq could go to. If I was Phoenix though, I'd keep Shaq and trade Amare. Shaq's done after next year anyway and, since Nash isn't going anywhere, give it a shot with Nash/Shaq/Richardson/whoever they get for Amare. then start again in 2010 when I'm sure Nash will bolt to New York or Toronto.

Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids in 2003
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Mik's topic in Sports
Frank Thomas' case for being one of the best pure hitters of his generation gets stronger every day. If he wasn't such a douche, I'd feel bad for how Canseco was vilified just to be proven right. -
A few big rumors for trades: Amare to Miami for Marion/Beasely Shaq to LA for Odom and others and, the most interesting: Vince to the Spurs for Mason, George Hill and spare parts that will end up back in San Antonio
