  1. We're going 15 plus an extra 2 where the discarded characters are eligible. In those 2 rounds, you will be free to pick anybody left (whether it be someone still available or someone currently ineligible). foleyfan will pick first for the extra rounds (it'll be his turn anyway) so we'll basically do reverse order for the rounds where currently discarded people are available.
  2. Characters from Band of Brothers are allowed. I'll update tomorrow.
  3. Good for Kevin James. I saw Paul Blart today and it's a pretty funny Die Hard parody (especially the Robert Davi inspired SWAT leader).
  4. Personally, I love hair metal. It's fun music to listen to and doesn't ask too much of its listener (simply asks for you to have a good time) which, sometimes, is all I want from music. Guns N' Roses is not hair metal. They have some 'hair metal-ish' songs but the majority of their output is nowhere near hair metal. Considering Bon Jovi still have a career, still sell millions of records and remain relevant, I wouldn't list them here either as they have surpassed the hair metal genre. Motley Crue is the definition of the 80's hair metal band, which is ironic since they were always desperate to be respected as musicians and be seen as rebels of some kind.
  5. And it's been 12 hours so my picks are: Joey Jeremiah and Special Agent Jack Malone
  6. Front page is updated. Is Twisted Intestine out of all drafts?
  7. "I had most perfect wife in Soviet Russia. Pleasantly shaped like a turnip." Sergei The Communist
  8. Counting Crows and Nickelback
  9. Style-wise, I envisioned someone similar to Ricky Morton.
  10. I'm not gonna break up the most successful cop duo in history. Sgt. Roger Murtaugh No idea who to PM.
  11. Brooklyn Zoo is now out and his picks ineligible. At the end, if people want, we can randomize the draft order and everyone can get one choice from the ineligible list since there's a LOT of good characters on it. Thoughts on that?
  12. As Singer said himself, it isn't a documentary. I prefer no attempted accents and good acting over distractingly bad German accents. I found it distracting that everyone was writing in German, yet speaking refined English. And it also bothered me when they talked about their loyalty to Germany...by speaking English. I liked the movie, and I understand they weren't going to make a foreign film, but it just bothered me. They stayed so close to reality with the events and fictionalized so little that I completely bought into it despite the language. Plus I though the beginning, with Cruise reading German it turning into English, was a nice way of subtly referencing the language issue.
  13. I found it pretty suspenseful which is very impressive considering I knew how it would end. And the accents didn't bother me. As Singer said himself, it isn't a documentary. I prefer no attempted accents and good acting over distractingly bad German accents.
  14. Wow, I missed my own picks. Capt. David Aceveda and Norm Peterson Kilroy is missing a pick and 6foot9 is up.
  15. 1. The Dark Knight 2. Slumdog Millionaire 3. The Wrestler 4. Tropic Thunder 5. Curious Case of Benjamin Button 6. Gran Torino 7. JCVD 8. Iron Man 9. Role Models 10. Valkyrie Honorale Mentions: - Miracle At St. Anna - Forgetting Sarah Marshall - The Strangers
  16. Excellent movie and I didn't expect it to be so damn funny. Clint's still the man 8-).
  17. Well, since I have Malice, this pick only makes sense: Pusha T
  18. Two guys I expected to go sooner (Zach and Urkel), finally get picked.
  19. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and Buckcherry
  20. TImmy's turn and Brooklyn Zoo is out if he doesn't make up his picks by the time it comes back around to him.
  21. It was my turn? Umm ok, I choose: El Mariachi
  22. Valkyrie is doing much better than anyone expected which I'm happy to see since it's a great movie.
