This week in Raw/SD!/Nitro/Thunder history
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Bored's topic in General Wrestling
Just so you know it was 100% planned. It was done so people would tune in to Thunder's debut and find out the result of the match. -
Aquemini with ATLiens in a close second. And finally there is some right in the world as a truly quality double album is a huge hit.

Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in The WWE Folder
The rematch has better spots and some, although not much, psychology. Benoit/Jericho is better and the TLC's have bigger spots. -
Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in The WWE Folder
Goodear are you kidding me? WM10 is one of THE most overrated matches of all-time. -
I could still make it but I didn't get that MSG tape as planned. So it would have to be without the Rumble, Borga/Steiner and tag title change.
-
It wasn't a good match, but it was kind of his most important. It wasn't THAT important. Certainly not important enough to waste so much room on a DVD. And he LOST the match, so there's another reason to not have it. Exactly. It's not as important as maybe Hart/HBK wasting an hour on HBK's DVD.

Are you crazy? Jake Roberts will live forever. And fuck this is morbid...although we went 13 pages about this subject when Blassie died.

list your favorite royal rumbles
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to slabinskia's topic in General Wrestling
1. 1992 - Best Rumble ever, a decent New Foundation/Orient Express match and Piper's only title. 2. 2000 - Decent rumble, best undercard. 3. 1990 - 2nd best Rumble ever with a surprisingly good Garvin/Valentine match. 4. 2001 - Good Rumble, good undercard. 5. 2003 - Good Rumble, awesome Angle/Benoit, but weighed down by two horrible matches. 6. 1989 - Good Rumble, decent matches. 7. 1994 - A good Rumble with a great tag match. Would be higher but the Taker crap drags it down. 8. 1991 - Very good rumble with a great tag match, weighed down by predictability of Rumble and Slaughter's title win. 9. 1998 - Good casket match and a decent Rumble. 10. 1995 - Short rumble but awesome undercard. 11. 1997 - Historical Rumble and a decent title match. 12. 2002 - Rock/Jericho and a decent Rumble. 13. 1993 - Sentimental favroite but has 2 good matches with a terrible Rumble. 14. 1999 - Beyond horrible. Would be last but Rock/Foley is good. 15. 1996 - Putrid. No redeeming value. 1988 - Never saw it. -
Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4

I rewatched the match on the repeat and still didn't notice it. Meh more credit to the match that I was so into it I missed that. Although I saw him take the blade out(thought he was getting brass knux at first) but didn't think much of it for some reason. -
The Dames' Diatribe on WWE Raw - 12/29/03
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to The Dames's topic in The WWE Folder
Dames that was the best review of a match I've seen from you. You put over both guys work and analyzed every detail in describing why you gave it what you did. Kudos on a job well done. -

Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in The WWE Folder
Well like Tawren I rewatched on TSN(taped it too). And I say ***3/4. And, most likely, the Raw match of the year. -
Ok yes it was a good match and maybe ***1/2. But how the fuck does Keith see ****3/4? Andh is reasoning is retarted. "Crazy good match in every aspect with insane crowd heat and selling from Shawn, dragged down a bit by the senseless ref bumps. ****3/4" Bah he gets worse by the minute.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how well Bad Boys 2 and Bringing Down the House did.

I expected nothing from Pirates of the Carribean. Even skipped it in theatres, then I saw it on DVD and was blown away. I never expected to like Phone Booth & Identity as much as I did. Biggest negative surprise was S.W.A.T. A kick ass cast and a sweet trailer with a good plot hitch("$100,000,000 to who ever gets me out") and it blew horribly and had no excitement or entertainment to it.

"December 29, 1997 Sting NC Hollywood Hogan, show goes off air before the end of the match; WCW Title Match" Wow I remember that getting some REALLY harsh reactions. "December 29, 1997 Owen Hart def. Shawn Michaels by DQ; WWF Title Match" I have that match on tape. It rules. -
I HAD More SNME but soemone threw it out Since though I've gotten all the matches on it back through SNME's.
-
I'll also say Blueprint. Reasonable Doubt has rawer lyrics and better flow but I'll take experienced Jay over young Jay anyday. Plus the production on Blueprint is excellent and a few of the songs are some of Jay's best, period(Heart of the City,Renegade).
-
I don't know I found it enjoyable enough. Nothing I'd watch more than once but it was decent.

"Real American" is THE theme music for Hogan.
