This is great Now Angle can take time off from the ring, and if he is able to return Steph can come back and replace him. YAY!!! To HHH going back to Raw. And hopefully Teddy Long and Booker T will form an alliance.

First month of the brand split Draft got a 5.4 rating, then the next four shows got a 4.8
-
All four shows in April 2002 got a 4.8 rating, so that is a decent jump of at least .8 if the number is the same or higher.

Well in the heading it said "Suprise G.M." which suggest that Steph isn't going to be the G.M. for the moment.

Update: A-Train's bio has been put back on the Smackdown roster.

By Wade Keller of pwtorch.com Paul Heyman will remain with WWE despite quitting on the air last night. The current plan is for him to return as an on-air manager, although the details of his role has yet to be determined. His return to the air could eventually lead to him taking a group of wrestlers away from WWE and forming ECW as part of a storyline, but our sources say that is not in the plans right now. It has been talked about, but isn't written into definite storylines at this point. As a manager, though, he may end up managing wrestlers with an ECW history to at least plant the seeds for a potential split-off down the line.

Had no problem with the draft. However for this draft to mean anything Edge and Benjamin have to receive really big pushes. For some reason I believe that HHH will be back on Raw, because his feud with HBK is still going on, and they gave us HHH/Eddie for no reason tonight thus hinting that HHH won't stay. I can see a Booker T for HHH trade happening.

Since it wasn't mentioned A-Train's profile is on the Raw roster and according to the Meltz, Booker T's profile was on Smackdown but taken down.

By Dave Meltzer After getting checked out by at least two doctors this week, Kurt Angle won't be undergoing neck surgery and it's at this point not a career threatening injury. This breathed a sigh of relief to a lot of people.
-
I might have done so to, until I read that two of their players where arrested for drug possession on Saturday.

Heat matches Lance Storm defeated Ken Phoenix Rico defeated Steven Richards I don't know if Rico is having surgery or something, but Richards worked on his knee the whole match, and then after the match Richards attacked him ramming his knee into the post a couple times. He was helped to the back. The Hurricane and Rosie defeated Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade They gave this match about 10-12 minutes, and it actually was pretty good. Jindrak and Cade have the basics down pretty well, it's just a matter of them finding a way to get over with the crowd. Finish was Hurricane climbing on top of Rosie's shoulders, and doing a splash on to Cade. Cade sold it like he was dead after the match, falling down twice on the ramp

A good indicator of how the WWE is doing, is what next week's show does. The first draft got a 5.4 rating compared to the 4.8 Raw got the previous week. So you would hope there is a big jump next week.

I'm not sure if it's disappointing or not. In one hand it is the day after WM so you except a nice increase However this is only the second time Raw has gotten a 4.0 since September 8th.

By Mike Johnson of pwinsider.com Chris Benoit fans will be happy to know that WWE is releasing a Chris Benoit DVD title on 7/19. Here's to hoping they including the Owen Hart tribute bout he worked against Bret Hart in WCW.

This is what Schere actually wrote "The latest word I am getting on Kurt Angle is that most people within the company expect that the numbness in his hands will mean that he needs to get surgery on his already once-repaired neck. He is scheduled to undergo tests this week. The general consensus in the company is that Angle will need neck surgery and it could even be career ending for him. According to a number of people that I have spoken with, Angle hasn’t been his usual happy-go-lucky self backstage recently and it’s possible that if he does need neck surgery, he may decide to retire and not risk further damage after he has it. Obviously, nothing is set in stone yet but the situation is very serious."

Well I'm not sure how I feel about doing the draft over. However all day, for whatever reason, I was thinking it would be cool to see John Cena feud with Christian and slutty Trish. And now it may be a possibility.
-
Whatever you think of his review, I got give the man credit for fixing all the mistakes the article had when first posted. It had Cena as a New Yorker Angle was spelled Angel said Hogan/Warrior was at WM 5

Well since I live in L.A., the announcement was my mark out moment of the night. Hopefully I will be able to get tickets.

(raises hand) Once I saw Benoit in tears I couldn't help myself. If I see someone cry or tear up it is really difficulf for me not to get teary eyed myself.
-
Actually this doesn't surprise me since this has happened every year on this particular week. I remember everyone panicking after Smackdown got a 3.9 in 2001, because it was the first time the show had done under a 4 on a non holiday week.
