Impossible. In case you hadn't noticed, my gloating isn't about the Phillies losing. It's more about mocking UTSU and his obnoxious posts from the last week of the season. Get a clue, Hawk 3,240,500.
-
Do you not like me because I cant tell the difference between you and the other four "Hawk + random number" posters on this board? Besides that, I like the Sox. I'll gladly cheer for them the rest of the way. Now, the Yankees. I despise them.
-
ahahahahahaha.
-
haha. ahahahahaha. Al, my condolences. I'll gladly let you sit for a ride on the Heartbreak Express with me and Czech. I won't twist the knife. I still need to ask though where UTSU has vanished to since the Phillies/Rockies NLDS started. He couldn't stop gloating when things were going well....but, oh so unfortunately, has suddenly disappeared.
-
I'm tired of hearing Dane Cook talk about the drama of the Red Sox and how Vladdy doesn't have a ring yet. I'd rather have that than the Frank commercials though.
-
You're distraught so I'll give you a free pass on this one, Czech.

What the hell is wrong with you! So you scratched and clawed your way to the top of the NL Central only to see your team blow everything in a matter of three games. So what if your major three hitters on the team ended up with a whopping zero RBIs! Who cares that your team has now become the joke of the Windy City again...and the other city team didn't even make the postseason! GET OVER IT! The only thing worse for a Chicago fan than putting ketchup on his hotdog would be to stop watching the 2007 Playoffs just when it's getting good! There's only one October! TO THE TV!

Steve, I thought we were done with you until April of 2008. That post was too long a taunt. You need something short and concise.

There is such anguish in being a Cubs fan. Three straight walks. Based loaded, one out, down by 2 runs. You get it up to a 3-1 count....and you hit a double play, now stranding 9 runners in only five innings so far. See, I feel for Cubs fans. That was just painful. Mets-level painful.

The way I see it, Sarah's head will be in the box, but Lincoln will decide to keep that fact away from Michael. If Michael knows Sarah's dead, he'll stop trying to break out Whistler, and LJ will be screwed. The majority of the season will focus on Linc hiding Sarah's death from Michael so Michael will continue along with the plan, leading to a huge climax near the end of the season once Michael finds out Lincoln was lying the whole time.

Yeah, the Phillies just looked flat there. Not like the same team that stormed through the month of September. Can't say I wouldn't be happy to see them get knocked out handily though.
-
One thing I've noticed in the last two innings of the game, Dale Scott has a very low strike-zone. Maybe too low.
-
Yep, I could have told you Kaz would strike out looking in a situation like that.
-
It's upsetting to me that Kaz Matsui is hitting in a big spot in the playoffs right now. It's upsetting to me that he's still playing baseball at all.
-
Whoops! Guess you're not getting that job!

I would hope not. Tom Glavine as a Met will forever be remembered now for that one game. Not his 300th win. Not his games against the Dodgers and the Cards in the 2006 playoffs. No, Game 162 against the Marlins will be what he is remembered for. Mets fans are never going to fully trust him again, and it will do much more harm for the franchise than good if they decide to pick up that $13 million option. Bye Tommy. Go pitch together with your BFF John Smoltz and leave the Mets alone until you're pitching 2-hit shutouts against them next season.

Predictions: ALDS Red Sox over Angels in 5 Yankees over Indians in 3 NLDS: Phillies over Rockies in 3 Cubs over Diamondbacks in 4 ALCS: Yankees over Red Sox in 6 NLCS: Phillies over Cubs in 7 World Series: Yankees over Phillies in 5 Mind you, the idea of seeing the Yankees and the Phillies in the World Series is horrifying to me, as is a subsequent Yankee win.

The Colorado win was exciting tonight and I'll be honest, I am a little happy for their fans to see such a monumental comeback the last month of the season. The real fans of course. Are they the feel-good team of the postseason? Sure. Why not. Of course, I'm still putting my support behind the Cubs. Because if there's a single team in Major League Baseball that Mets fans can sympathize with besides their own, it's the Cubs.
-
Too late. Bob Barron has already purchased his flat-billed Colorado Rockies cap to celebrate.
-
Yeah, what a fattie. More like Coffey Cake.
-
Al, not that I'm bitter -- okay, maybe I am a little -- but that thread does not make you look good here at all.
-
And instead of keeping the rally going and scoring a couple of runs with some well-placed hitting, Castro tries to hit a home run and pops up to center with the bases loaded. That's just baseball fundamentals there. Not every swing has to be a homerun.
-
That was the most successful at-bat Delgado has had these past two weeks.
-
This is why I've been criticizing Willie Randolph so much the past few weeks. The Glavine meltdown, no one could really see. I'll give him that. But we put in JORGE SOSA inheriting a bases loaded situation?! The only bullpen pitcher that has been WORSE than Mota?! Heilman, Schoeneweis, El Duque, Feliciano...even Smith. ANY of them would have been better than Sosa. Fuck it, Randolph should be fired for this decision alone. JORGE SOSA! Unbelievable.
-
No. We don't want him back. I hope the Braves dont waste time with him this offseason. First time since 1989 Glavine didn't get out of the first inning. FUTG. Oh, John Smoltz wants him back. I would hope Minaya wouldn't want him back either. Let Glavine retire without pissing any more on his legacy after one of the most pathetic outings I can even remember.
