Again, I have to ask. What is their purpose in keeping Edge out of this tournament? It means either one of three things. A) He's going to win the title back from Cena. But if he didn't do it this past Monday, it's probably not going to happen. B) They plan to put him against someone entirely new at WrestleMania -- if the rumors are correct, it could be Foley. C) They have plans on making the WWE Title match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat. Cena vs. Edge vs. presumably HHH.....unfortunately, there's no face here. It would be very interesting if they actually put Van Dam so close to the WrestleMania title shot though.

I would say there was a chance of seeing a Carlito/Masters semifinal match, but there's no way WWE would run with either one of them facing Triple H in the finals. And at this point in their storyline, it wouldn't make sense for Masters to help Carlito out anyway.

Figured it was way too early to start the Raw thread, so this goes here. Starting on Monday night, WWE is running a tournament to determine who gets the WWE Title shot at WrestleMania 22. .... Rob Van Dam vs. Carlito Chris Masters vs. Kane Triple H vs. Ric Flair Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show It's a foregone conclusion, I guess, that Triple H is winning this thing. I see the tournament going something like: RVD over Carlito Masters over Kane HHH over Flair Show over Michaels Then RVD over Masters HHH over Show And finally, Triple H can show his superiority over RVD in the final round. It's strange how they're not including Edge in all this though.

Rey Misterio absolutely deserves that title shot. I don't think there's been anyone else in WWE in the past year that has stomped on their dignity more than Misterio. Writing a storyline with Eddie Guerrero in which he exploited his own son in an angle that said Guerrero is actually his real father. Agreeing to go along with the exploitation of Guerrero's death, from screaming to the heavens for Eddie's help to standing idly by while Orton says Eddie's looking at him from hell right now. Misterio has gone along with more disgusting angles in the past year than anybody else in WWE. But come on. Why would Misterio even agree to go along with that Orton comment? It's not like he's getting the WrestleMania title shot anyway. He's being shunted back to the midcard obviously, and it's not like they would ever fire him over that. The company's using him as a tool. The token wrestler there, used so heels like Triple H and Orton can take potshots against Guerrero to put themselves over. So yes, Misterio should get that title shot. He deserves it. He pissed away any semblence of his dignity in the past year, so why not at least give Misterio something that might possibly justify whoring himself out to WWE.
