  1. Danke. Honestly, they're nothing bad. The first piccy: The second [and creepiest]:
  2. I'm not an expert of Bishonen or anything [so don't think I am, heh] but there all kinds of Bishonen. Basically, bishys are male charas who are either good-looking, feminine, or both. Most every Final Fantasy character is one, because they're CG, and thus, perfect-looking, thus, slightly feminine-looking. Some consider Kurt Wagner to be bishonen. Okay, that was a shameless plug to an awesome drawing by Idgiebay, but nonetheless, it is true that Kurt's considered bishonen. A creepy version of bishonen is a japanese band called Dir en Grey.
  3. I never said I didn't...well, actually, I haven't been around one yet [being a never-been-kissed virgin and all that]. But, still, Sephy is totally bishy!
  4. Like it or not [and I don't], I think there are a lot of fans of FFVII. Why everyone loves that game so much is beyond me, but hey, that's just my opinion. However, I must say that the video they showed of Advent Children was awesome. In OPM, they have a pic of Cloud, and one of Sephirtoh, and on the side they have screencaps from the video. The CG models look very detailed [and, yes, totally bishy] and I'm trying my best to get the damn trailer downloaded. So...its okay if its sucks, as long as the main virtual characters in it are hot? I never said it'd be okay. I haven't played much of FFVII, so I can't really be in the argument of if the movie is good or not. I printed the article up because I figured there were a lot of fans of FFVII on the board. Just because I think the charas are hot, doesn't mean I think the movie will be 'OMG TEH BEST EVERZ!!111!1!!'.

  6. Credit: Official Playstation Magazine Cloud and Sephiroth return in a Final Fantasy...movie? As we reported last month, Square Enix was scheduled ot show Final Fantasy VII-2 at a Tokyo Game Show press conference. While we're pleased to say that a follow-up, titled Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was shown, we were shocked to learn that the project isn't actually a game. At least in the traditional sense, it doesn't seem to be. Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer for Final Fantasy VII, strolled onto the stage with other members of Square Enix's product development division, along with the president of the company, Yoichi Wada. Then a movie played, showing Cloud racing on his motorcycle toward a dual-bladed enemy who bears a passing resemblence to Cloud's nemesis, Sephiroth. After a brief fight, the movie transitioned to a scene of Cloud at the beach, where he is overlooking what appears to be the old Shinra headquarters from the first area in Final Fantasy VII. But perhaps the best scene from the two minute clip features an unknown character kneeling in front of a cloaked man sitting in a chair. Just as he reaches out to touch the man's hand, the film cuts to a stylized version of Sephiroth's infamous attack on Nibelheim. Beyond what was shown at TGS, Square Enix has revealed few details, except that Advent Children will take place two years after the events that transpired in the game and the film will be approximately 60 minutes long. At TGS, Senior Vice President Yoshinori Kitase explained the motivation for the project. Nomura was initially approached about creating an offshoot of FFVII, just to please all the fans eager to know what happens next. The new product, though, won't come in the form of a game; Square Enix is calling it "visual content". Nomura decided this project would be interesting, so Square Enix assembled a staff consisting of members of the original FFVII team, as well as team members from other games in the series. "We wanted to make sure that we were successful," said Kitase. "So we gathered staff from Final Fantasy that were scattered across the company--we're confident it will be a success." As for the reason a game sequel wasn't made, Kitase siad it would have been too easy. Instead, Square wanted to try something new, something that would test it's skills. Interestingly, Senior Vice President Shinji Hashimoto repeatedly stressed that a specific release date is currently unknown for Advent Children. The company is also continuing to hold discussions on how to distribute the project, leading to speculation that DVD isn't the only format being considered [PSP, perhaps?]. The other possibility: Advent Children might be the world's most expensive teaser for a PS2 sequel.
  7. Since I don't want to make another thread for it, I'll simply ask it here... does anyone want me to type up the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children article in the mag? If I had a scanner, I'd totally scan the pics of Cloud and Sephiroth. Gah...they're so hot! And realistically-bishy looking! Ahem. Anyway. I think the most intrigueing part of the article is that FF7: Advent Children isn't a game.
  8. I find the junction system makes the game a lot less time consuming than most other RPGs. Since your level doesn't matter you can get great stats just by drawing the right stuff and have to fight minimal random battles. When I play I can go through a lot of disc 2 and all of disc 3 and 4 without doing random battles yet still have powerful stats. That rules. damn whipper snappers now-a-days not wanting to work for their stats. I remember back in myyyyy day we use to walk uphill for 3 days killing slimes, and all we had to do it with was an 8gp Club! My strategy is to draw for quite a few battles on the first disc, then, once you learn the Card and Card Mod abilities, never draw again. It's really easy, if you're a good card player.
  9. Yeah, she is, but I like that. They are like total opposites. Squall is so cold and anti-social, yet she is so lively and always wants to cling to him. It's funny how Squall is so inclosed and dense he can't see how obvious it is Rinoa wants him. No, no, it's just her liveliness. It's just her....hmm, what's the word?....dumbness. It was annoying the way she tried to center the story around herself. Like, during the Sorceress mission at the end of the first disc, she's all 'let's sit down and discuss this!' Um, hello?! Plus, there's no way Quistis, a trained SeeD would suddenly leave her mission to go apologize to Rinoa Nor is it plausible that Quistis's team could get locked in the room TWO SECONDS AFTER RINOA JUST LEFT. *pant, pant* Must resist going on a rant.
  10. Heh...quoting myself. Whatever. Anyway, I played more of it today, and I'm starting to get used to the speed. The first battle was like, insane, because I wasn't used to it. But, it just takes getting used to. *fangirl taking over...sane folks stay away* He was TOTALLY the first bishonen I fell in love with! The intro vid got me hooked, and was the main reason I got a PS1, and got hooked on the series. Once you got past the looks of the bishies, the FF8 storyline was something I really enjoyed. I just recently beat the game...again. That's, like, the fifteenth time, I believe. And, ya know, Rinoa was cute the first time, but on the second play, I'm like 'ugh! go away, bitch!' She's REALLY annoying.
  11. You should buy the Official Playstation Magazine, December issue, when it comes out on the 4th. [Meh, I have it already. *snerk*] As always for an FF, they have a story about it, a demo, a review, and the only English version of Eternal Calm, the prologue to X-2. Not only that, but they have news on Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the non-game sequel to the game. And, let me just say, that Sephiroth is one hot mofo. Hell, I've already seen tons of icons, both of Sephiroth and Cloud, from that vid. Back to FF X-2.....after playing a bit of it, I must say that the battle system is way too fast. I'm sure if I would've started from the beginning, I would say different. But one of the 'missions' has you racing to the top of this tower [Yuna can now jump/climb on the 'world map'] and all three chicks have a lot of abilities for their classes. So while I'm trying to cycle through to see what they have, and trying to check out the different dresses they, I'm totally getting beat up. I know FF8 had the ATB system, but if I'm not mistaken, you could control it. To my knowledge, you can't in X-2.
  12. Ian Black's comment about being cute jewish men was kinda cute. Not that I think Ian Black is cute or anything...erm...nope.
  13. Credit: Official Playstation Magazine [which I totally suggest buying] 'Real Emotion' went so well with that opening and I don't know how they could possibly change it. Even if they lip-sync it perfectly, I still think 'Real Emotion' was perfect. But, of course, I'll not judge something I haven't seen.
  14. What, on WB or Cartoon Network? Because I missed a couple episodes. Kids WB. It's both a blessing and a curse. What annoys me the most about WB eps is the, well, annoying, commercials. Also, did anyone notice that, during the replay 'Growing Pains' ep on Cartoon Network, they cut the part out where Jean telekinetically flings the Principal's cell phone and breaks it? I noticed this a while ago, when I was taping the ep, and just remembered it *lol*
  15. Oh, just a quick update. They're replaying the season, starting this Saturday w/ Dark Horizon 1.
  16. Since it had the other series, it's now 2hrs per year. While not enough to cover a whole year, it does an okay job. Gah! I knew he sounded familiar! He was pretty funny, in my opinion, during that silly "Wave" segment.
  17. I used to think I'd hate the entire 'I Love The 80s' shows, but with this 'Strikes Back' episodes, I fully admit that I love 'em. I was born in '86, but still, a lot of the stuff I remember. Hal Sparks is God on that show. I especially liked his comment during the 'Heartbeat' song. All of his comments are simply gold, in my opinion, and apparently, the opinion of the majority. Plus, and this is the fangirl talking, Hal Sparks + leather jacket = total Godly hotness. Michael Ian Black... *shrug* I, for one, think he's pretty funny on the show. But, then again, I'm the resident 'idiot fangirl', thus, my opinion doesn't matter. Whose the new guy they added? He's the one with his own segment....'Extra Thoughts on...', I think it's called. He's like the demi-god of the show, second, obviously, to God Hal Sparks.
  18. I'm obsessed with teh gay. *shrug* Don't know why. Maybe it's cuz bishonens ar totally hot!
  19. *snuggles* I pity you. Seriously, I do. I -hope- they replay the season soon.
  20. I stopped watching in July, and hell, stopped visiting the WWE part of the forums. Out of boredom, I decide to stroll on in just to see if anything exciting [yeah...right] has happened or is happening. Considering that preview, it seems like the same old, same old. Wasn't Val Venis facing Steven Richards on RAW a long time ago? Something about getting Victoria into a porn flick, or something just as lame. And, gee, they're fighting...still. And Stone Cold is still fighting against Bischoff in totally washed up, lame repeats of the McMahon-Stone Cold feud? Yawn. Seems like I'm not missing much.
  21. Best. Episode. EVER!!! I was, like, totally on the edge of my seat the whole time! I mean, you could sense that the good guys would win, yada yada yada, but it was still awesome, esp. the battles. And the animation...so incredible! I squealed like a fangirl for the Brotherhood showing up. It's like 'YAY!!!' And I just love Todd even more now! 'Oh, right, we never win.' *snerk* Too adorable! Now...the confusion. Why would Kurt be all mean to Mystique? After the second bestest ep known as 'Impact', it just doesn't make sense. I can understand Rogue, yeah, but Kurt? Nein. About their powers....are, they, like still that powerful? I found that part confusing. It just doesn't make sense how Apocalypse's little, erm, thingies could manipulate their powers to such a degree, then they simply vanish because he's imprisoned. It's especially confusing for the Prof, since his powers were mental. But, it's a loop hole I'm definetly willing to look over ^.^ But, the awesome [how many times have I used that word?] shots of their future selves....it was just...guh! Todd didn't look so hot, and I think Scarlet Witch looked better with the dyke-cut, but still..it was cool. *snerk* Pietro just needs to stay off the 'roids. *likes her femmy speed demons* Rogue just looked totally kick-ass! But, why make all the others look like they found a batch of mutant steroids? I thinked they looked fine the way they were. I couldn't see Kurt that well, but I noticed that he looked roided up as well. Ugh. But...maybe that's just them linking to the other cartoon? *shrug* If they were, then that'd create another plot hole, since Kurt wasn't originally in their party. *pant, pant* I want them to make another season!
  22. In the episode that was centered around her, I thought she was kinda annoying. I mean, stealing from Kurt. The nerve! But, in 'Walk on the Wild Side', I think she was okay, almost cool. Except she hurt Todd. That sucked. Multiple is just there to get bruised and beat up. Why... I don't know. But Magma....well, I'm wondering, what's the deal with all the charas that look identical? Amara, Kurt's girlfriend, and that indian chick, Moonstar. There's differences, sure, but for the most part, they look alike.
  23. No idea. I agree that Scarlet Witch, Jugs, Legion, or maybe even Rogue would have been a better choice... But it looks like Mystique can now not only shapeshift but split into a whole bunch of what she shifts into. Hmmm. Well, they said the Horsemen's powers had been "greatly evolved". But, if they were planning on bringing Mystique back, what was the deal with the statue crying, and later, shattering? I mean, yeah, it was a great emotional episode, but it just doesn't make sense. If Mystique was hidden in one of the tombs, how could Rogue have saved her from being a stone?
  24. I don't think it has anything to do with being ugly, but with how poor the girl is. And if she's just starved, then I doubt she'd be too fat. Heh...but if she's ugly and poor...then, sucks to be him.
  25. Wait, wait, 'Gazoo' was a cartoon character? I can't say he was bad, since from him came the movie version in Flinstones. Of course, the movie sucked, but at least Mick Jagged and Gazoo were okay Someone pointed in my science class that, if oil was a natural resource, how come it'd hurt Captain Planet? [We have a very goofy 'Enviromental Science' class]... I also nominate Dill and Kimmy. Not that I watch the show or anything. My sister watches it sometimes and I'm in the same room. Ugh...some of those shows are just awful. I always root for Angelica. She's a bitch. She knows it...and enjoys it. And yet, she gets punked out all the time by some snot-nosed brats and a black kid? What's the point in that?! EDIT: From the Evo roster, I nominate Spyke.
