ECW...errr...3PW....returns to Viking Hall
PsychoDriver replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, it did (a few times actually) it was when Roadkill was a rookie so Sabu squashed him IIRC. -
Even better than that.. they now have a Teddy Hart Shoot Interview planned as well.

PWG ''Taste The Radness'' Feb 22 Santa Ana CA
PsychoDriver replied to PsychoDriver's topic in General Wrestling
Ok, Since the show is this sunday, So I figured I'd SHILL PWG and bump this up and also give some thoughts and predictions! Now wouldn't that be fun? Puma vs. Charles Mercury Thoughts: They both wrestle similar styles so I think they will blend nicely and put on a fine lucha style match. Prediction: PUMA Havana Pitbulls vs. Thomaselli Brothers: Thoughts: Sal/ Vito were very impressive at the Tango and Cash Invitational and they should have their work cut out for them against the internationally renowned Havana Pitbulls, who are always awesome in there. I think this will be the sleeper match of the show and it will surprise alot of people. Prediction: Havana Pitbulls Samoa Joe vs. Shannon Ballard: Thoughts: Grudge match brought about after Samoa Joe knocked Ballard out at "Tango.." I don't think this will be a classic or anything but it should be alot of fun if the Ballards use heel tactics like the old twin mid-match switch off. Prediction: Samoa Joe over both Ballards. S.B.S (Super Dragon, Excalibur, Disco Machine) Vs. The AXP and Chris Bosh Thoughts: The AXP/Bosh's feud against the PWG owners continues in what should be an insanly wild crazy wildly insane crazy intense 6-man war that will be crazy. Prediction: AXP/Bosh pull the upset. American Dragon vs. Bobby Quance: Thoughts: If you know these workers this one more than speaks for itself. I can see this being similar to the great Danielson Vs. Paul London ROH matches only AD may know Quance even better than London since he played a part in training him. I really think this could be a MOTYC. Prediction: American Dragon B-Boy & Homicide Vs. X- Foundation (Joey Ryan/Scott Lost) Thoughts: A Dream match that should an outstanding match as both are great teams, heck the newly formed team of B-Boy and Homicide work better together than alot of seasoned tag teams. Should be one to remember... Prediction: B-Boy/Homicide (But I really wouldn't be surprised to see X-Foundation take this one) No DQ Come-As-You-Are Chicago Street Fight Frankie Kazarian © vs Adam Pearce Backstory: this has been building since the Bad Ass Mother 3000 where Pearce unjustly lost to Joey Ryan and has been on a quest for the gold ever since. First he avenged his loss to Joey Ryan to win the 1# contendership, Then he was screwed out of his title shott by Paul T. So Pearce then took matters into his own hands and jumped Kazarian after a match in Nov which lead a 6-man tag in Dec where Pearce pinned and injuried Frankie after a piledriver on the title belt.. then Pearce layed down the challenge for a title match on Jan. 24th. In which Frankie proved himself to truly be the coolest man on earth by being the first wrestler in history to ever wrestle to a 20 minute time limit draw in only 16'19 (now that's cool!) but a draw wasn't good enough for Pearce who was still hungry for the gold. So after Frankie again sucussfully defended the belt against M-Dogg, Babi Slymm and Jonny Storm, Pearce ran out and brutalized Frankie as if he were a cop arresting Michael Jackson and then piledrove Frankie off the apron through a table! So the stage has been set Feb. 22, Adam Pearce Vs. Frankie Kazarian in a Street Fight for the PWG Title! Now that's drama!! Prediction: Adam Pearce finally takes home the gold. So there you go, should be an outstanding show top to bottom. So if in the area make an effort to check this out live as PWG live shows are always a blast. You never who Super Dragon may attack next!! It could be you!! If not if the area.. then go to http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/index2.html and buy one of PWG's many excellent DVD releases including the highly acclaimed "TANGO & CASH INVITATIONAL" tag tournament featuring Chris Hero, Messiah, American Dragon, Homicide, CM Punk, Chris Daniels, Havana Pitbulls, Samoa Joe, Jonny Storm and all the PWG regulars. Other PWG news: It's been annouced that PWG will be running not 1 not 3 not 4 not 7 not 24 but TWO WHOLE SHOWS NEXT MONTH! on March 7th and 27th so make your travel arrangments now! -
They turned on Jon Dahmer at "Street Fight 2k4" and started teaming at the last show. Decent team I think they have alot of potental...
-
I think this is a work, I mean it's gotta be right? It would make sense... Gabe never actually said it wasn't a work right? I think it's either a work or Teddy truly is the most insane man in wrestling
-
The wrestling stuff was alot of fun. Samoa Joe, Punk and Hardkore Inc. were pretty damn funny as actors. Also cool to see guys like Babi Slymm, Phoenix Star, Quicksilver, AWC and others on National TV for a few seconds
-
Look who else he is bringing in (ROH fans will love this one) "CZW has negotiated a deal that will bring the controversial Teddy Hart to CZW. He will make his debut in Allentown with future appearances being negotiated. What type of impact will this 3rd-generation superstar have on CZW...SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2004...MOUNTAINVILLE CENTER...FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF! GET YOUR F'N TICKETS!" Yep, Teddy Hart in CZW.... I personally think it's an interesting idea.

Beulah is pregnant eh? I've heard that one before...sure she isn't faking it again to get away from Raven again? Anyway, Good for Dreamer. But the sad thing is if/when the WWE fires him he'll have to provide for his wife and newborn kids on an Indy wrestler's salary. Hope everything works out for him (though it's hard to feel bad for anyone married to Beulah)

Zach Gowan Working Tonight For...
PsychoDriver replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in General Wrestling
Boo! That about sums up my feelings on this matter, I think it's a waste of money and space. -
Good, I never got around to buying any ROH on DVD.. so I'll buy whatever they put out. Anyway, I think this is a good move by CZW/ROH, As It'll give normal fans a place to buy the material and introduce them to all the great talent involved. Really, anything to help build the CZW/ROH brand names can only be beneficial in the long run.
-
It's not necessarily due to his gloating over this, I just have always disliked RF's attitude and think RF getting hit by a bus full of his own bootlegged poor VQ tapes would be hilarious comic irony.
-
I hope Feinstein gets hit by a bus... several times. Anyway, everyone had to know this was going to happen but it is surprising to see it happen so soon. I'm going to miss actually having a decent wrestling show on TV for once and seeing great workers like Hero, B-Boy, SD, AD, Sonjay, Quance, Havana Pitbulls, Homicide ETC
-
Didn't his brother just die as well? That sucks these must be very tough times for Messiah. Any word on how good the Joey Ryan and Excalibur matches were?
-
Hmm that can't be good... what matches were set for 2/14? That was supposed to be the 43rd and 1/4 annual Terry Funk retirement show or something wasn't it? But well that "Battle Riot" thing sounds like it could either be alot of fun or terrible. Hopefully it turns out well...

I'd have to agree with Barber on XPW being huge and well infamous in and out of SoCal even before the philly invasion. I saw XPW grow alot first hand by following them on TV and by attending alot of their shows since 2000. Believe me they had (and still have) alot of die hard fans who really loved the product for whatever reasons. Heck I still think XPW is better known than CZW/ROH/PWG/IWA:MS/MLW etc as they were great at getting VHS/DVDs released on a national level (go to any big video store and look for wrestling, you will see mainly just XPW/WWE videos, that goes a long way with normal non-smark wrestling fans who probably think ROH is a motor oil) Like him or not, Rob Black was a true master at getting people's attention. No matter what means he used XPW always found a way to push peoples buttons and get a reaction, but more importantly keep people talking about them. That is what made XPW huge and is why people still talk about that "crappy promotion" a year after it's death Anyway back to the topic... somehow I have a feeling the Backseats will be back in CZW before long (like maybe by May or so)
-
Wow, so it is true... that's horrible they were a major (and I do mean major) part of what made CZW so fun. Trent was like CZW's franchise... I don't know what CZW will do now.
-
that sucks, MST3K is about my favorite TV show of all time, it perfectly combined my love for old b-movies movies and great comedy. It is truly sad to hear that MST3k will never be seen on TV ever again. That's a damn shame... So a big "screw you" goes out to Sci-Fi and Comedy Central for taking this away from us.
-
It helps me, I only get MLW on Fox Sports and am glad to hear it's back on.
-
I always liked the first album. But I never really cared much for anything after it.
-
According to him, he'll still work PWG shows. I hope not, losing Super Dragon full time would really hurt SoCal. But hopefully he does catch on with ROH and makes East Coast appearances on a regular basis as he could have some great potental matches with some of the wrestlers out there.
-
Just a random CZW note somewhat related to this show: Expect to see more of Excalibur in CZW as word has it he is moving to Philly. I really hope he does become a regular in CZW, I think he can do wonders for the promotion.
-
I'll probably buy Gilligan's Island and Planet of the Apes.

Here is the new PWG press release from SoCalUncensored.com: "By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer Yosemite, California - At the "Tango & Cash Invitational" Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) was crowned the Professional Wrestling "King Of Cola," and then used our new title to crown the first ever PWG Tag Team Champions, B-Boy & Homicide! For those fans that may have missed the two greatest days of wrestling this universe has ever seen, PWG invites them to come "Taste The Radness" on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge! PWG's next live event will feature 7 titanic matches, including: • Puma vs. Charles Mercury - After aligning himself with the Aerial Express, Charles Mercury has a new found self confidence that he previously lacked, a self confidence that enables him to take on seemingly insurmountable challenges, challenges such as defeating international superstar Puma in single competition. Puma, on the other hand, does not need the self confidence provided by teaming with ruffians and scalawags. He has the self confidence provided by years of training with some of the finest fighters and wrestlers in the world, which logic dictates would be enough to overcome any challenge presented by young Mercury. However, what tricks may Charles have up his sleeveless shirt sleeves? • Havana Pitbulls vs. Sal & Vito Thomaselli - Both of these teams had impressive showings at the "Tango & Cash Invitational," but unfortunately for them, were eliminated early on the second day of the tournament. However, a more interesting development occurred backstage, when the Pitbulls and the Thomasellis began to argue about which mother country had more culinary depth, Cuba or Italy? Frituritas de Malanga or Spaghetti & Meatballs? Havana Pitbulls or The Thomasellis? Whose cuisine will reign supreme?! • Samoa Joe vs. Shannon Ballard - It is a little known fact that the entire US-Iraqi Military conflict was started not by the invasion of a small neighboring nation, but by an errant back swing during a golf outing with Former Presidents George Bush & Saddam Hussein in the late 1980's. As Hussein was warming up, he drew his club back, not expecting someone to walk in his way. Someone did, and that someone was George Bush, who was struck in the face by the club, knocked unconscious, and ultimately lost a tooth! In a strange coincidence, Samoa Joe & Shannon Ballard, long time friends and even training partners in professional wrestling, are now at war with one another, when Samoa Joe's golf club of tyranny, his foot, planted itself firmly in the face of Democracy, Shannon Ballard's face! Don't expect to see Shannon Ballard's son coming along to finish this job some 10 years later, these men are prepared to settle their dispute on February 22! • S.B.S. (Formerly Team Chismo; Super Dragon, Excalibur & Disco Machine) vs. Aerial Express (Scorpio Sky, Quicksilver & Chris Bosh) - Like a Guns N' Roses documentary, the feud between SBS and the AXP has seen it's share of violence, profanity, and debauchery, with violence and profanity leading the way. Originally, this battle was between Excalibur & Chris Bosh, but Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky, finding that their discontent had grown to proportions previously unknown to man, took advantage of a situation provided by Bosh to lash out at the entire PWG organization by attacking Excalibur. Not ones to stand back while their friend gets assaulted, Disco Machine & Super Dragon rushed to Excalibur's aid, but unknowingly provided the spark to the powder keg of hatred, which was seated on the cart of wrath, pulled by the donkey of anger! The fuse is burning down and once the donkey cart explodes, who will survive? • American Dragon vs. Bobby Quance - Like a fight between Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi, this match is truly Teacher vs. Student. While Bobby Quance was a rookie, he received instruction and direction from American Dragon, but after American Dragon went off to sew his wild oats, Quance was left to drift aimlessly. Not for long, as fate would have it, because both men arrived at the New Japan Dojo at roughly the same time, continuing their training, increasing their knowledge of how to hurt people. American Dragon then went to Europe in order to learn the most effective way of placing another man's legs behind their own head (the red lightsabre,) while Bobby Quance went to Mexico and learned the way of the arm drag (the blue lightsabre.) In this meeting of electro-swordsmanship, there can be only one Highlander! PWG Tag Team Championship • B-Boy & Homicide © vs. X- Foundation (Scott Lost & Joey Ryan) - Anyone that accuses Pro Wrestling Guerrilla of playing favorites is a jerk. PWG co-owners Scott Lost & Joey Ryan lobbied to Commissioner Paul T that the inaugural title defense of the PWG Tag Team Titles should be one that reflects the honor and prestige these titles are deserving of. Paul T thought about that, then also thought about who signs his checks, and nominated the X-Foundation to be the first ever challengers! Lost & Ryan, shocked and overjoyed at the prospect of getting another chance to win the titles, immediately began preparing for this opportunity with many hours of meditation in a Tibetan temple. When notified of who would be the first challengers to their titles, B-Boy and Homicide collectively agreed "Man, f--- those stupid cracker a-- b------!" Strong words, and even stronger dashes. Will the X-Foundation have what it takes to claim the belts, or will B-Boy & Homicide's street wise natures be enough to overcome any challenge? PWG Championship No DQ Come-As-You-Are Chicago Street Fight • "The Future" Frankie Kazarian © vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce - In the wild, when two majestic grizzly bears try to lay claim to the same territory, an earth shaking conflict undoubtedly will occur, often leaving one of the great beasts dead. Commissioner Paul T didn't really want to see Frankie Kazarian or Adam Pearce wind up dead, so he allowed the two men to compete in any sort of match they wanted, except the dreaded Death Match. Therefore, after lengthy consultation with manager and attorney, C. Edward Vanderpyle, Adam Pearce chose the second most deadly match known to man, the No Disqualification Come-As-You-Are Chicago Street Fight. Frankie Kazarian was eager to accept this match, since every time these two men have squared off, Kazarian has come away with the victory, but due to deftly execute underhanded tactics, Pearce walked out on top. Finally, Frankie Kazarian has the opportunity to face the head on assault of Adam Pearce, but what role with the No Disqualifications clause play? Will Frankie be able to concentrate and mount an effective offense, or will Pearce get the gold he has been after since day one? ----- Also available for pre-order is the 2-night, 4-disc "Tango & Cash Invitational" Tag Team Tournament DVD! For only $29.99 (plus $3.95 domestic shipping & handling/$9 for international orders.) That's a $5.00 savings over the regular price! Visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com for more information! All orders will ship before February 22, 2004. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's "Taste The Radness" takes place Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, at 5:00PM. Pearce feud settler, The 6-man, B-Boy/Homicide Vs. X-Foundation and well everything else. Should be an amazing show.
