  1. It does suck, Mainly because I thought the most interesting matches in the opening round were Grimes Vs. Taro and Cabana Vs. Excalibur, But they did find worthy replacements however.
  2. Since the shows is this weekend (Friday, Saturday) it's time for me to shill Pro Wrestling Guerrilla again. Taken from www.SoCalUncensored.com : Press Releases: PWG ''Bad Ass Mother 3000'' Changes & Video Details! Posted on Monday, August 25 @ 22:35:18 PDT by Steven Bryant By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer LOS ANGELES, California - It wouldn't be a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show without changes or cancelations, and unfortunately PWG's "Bad Ass Mother 3000" Title Tournament is no exception. First, "Vicious" Vic Grimes will be unable to compete in the tournament due familial obligations, and Excalibur will be unable to compete due to injuries relating to the beating dealt by the X-Foundation at APW LA. However, it also wouldn't be a PWG show without some fantastic substitutions. Taking Excalibur's place in his match with "Classic" Colt Cabana will be the man who impressed quite a few people at PWG's debut show, MDogg 20! After his epic battle with Super Dragon, the PWG "brass" thought it would be only fitting to give M-Dogg a chance to be the first ever Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Champion! Taking the place of "Vicious" Vic Grimes will be a former ally of TARO, a man who gave TARO insight into the intricacies of international competition, his opponent will be none other than NOSAWA. While the PWG's "brass" maintains a strong anti-Japanese stance due to the events of Pearl Harbor, Commissioner Paul T. used Clause 24.ii.a2 of his PWG contract stating that one competitor of Japanese origin may be booked on each show. When notified of the change, TARO became enraged, saying that no competitor with more capital letters in their name than TARO's should be allowed to compete for the title. The new tournament brackets are as follows: East Side: Disco Machine vs. Adam Pearce Scorpio Sky vs. Joey Ryan Colt Cabana vs. MDogg 20 Hook Bomberry vs. Super Dragon West Side: Frankie Kazarian vs. Scott Lost Tony Kozina vs. B-Boy TARO vs. NOSAWA Christopher Daniels vs. Hardkore Kidd Over the course of two days (August 29 & 30, 2003,) sixteen men will battle for the honor of becoming PWG Champion, and you, the Southern California fans, have the opportunity to experience every second of it LIVE! The opening round of the tournament will be held Friday, August 29, at the American Legion Eagle Rock, with seating extremely limited. The very next day, August 30, at Frank & Son's Collectible Showcase, will feature the conclusion of the tournament, and the crowning of a champion! Tickets for each day are $20, or can be bought for both days at a special price of $30. Pre-orders will be available online at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or offline at the Alternative Wrestling Shop this Wednesday! Also, PWG is pleased to announce that VHS & DVD copies of the debut show will be available for purchase at both days of the "Bad Ass Mother 3000." The VHS version will be priced at $18, while the 2-Disc DVD version will be $20. Get your copies early, especially since Granparent's Day is right around the corner, and Gram & Pappy would like nothing better than the intense action only PWG can provide! Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's "Bad Ass Mother 3000 - Stage 1" is taking place on Friday, August 29, 2003, with doors opening at 7:30PM and 8:00PM belltime. American Legion Eagle Rock is located at 2109 Merton Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90041. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's "Bad Ass Mother 3000 - Stage 2" is taking place on Saturday, August 30, 2003, with doors opening at 1:30PM and 2:00PM belltime. Frank & Son's Collectible Showcase is located at 19649 San Jose Ave., City of Industry, CA, 91748. For more information, please visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or email [email protected]" This could turn out to be the greatest SoCal shows ever.. with some great potential match ups, So if you are in the area check it out live and if you live elsewhere... at least buy the tapes/DVDs (which I assume with be available shortly at the website) It'll be worth it.

  4. Good stuff, Hey Barber what ever happened to that "ECW Arena History" thing you were writing? Did I just miss that or something? - EDIT: Nevermind I just read your Sig.
  5. Cool, I too have been wanting to see this since XPW was planning it for Hostile Takeover... but I wouldn't say it was a dream match. I just hope it isn't a let down like most of the other MLW matches I've seen.
  6. I wish he still was, But I'm pretty sure he's off the Sept. 6th PCW show.
  7. I hope so.... the more moves the better. As for whom I'll play as first... I'd probably pick RVD in an Elimination Chamber. And then start making some Indy CAWs
  8. Cool, can't wait till tommorrow... BTW, if anyone wants a review check out: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/sh...threadid=155757
  9. WM7 when I was 9 or 10, I was a huge WWF mark at the time and It was alot of fun to see The Rockers, Hogan, Mr. Perfect, Bossman live.
  10. Damn, MLW has a great roster and a great TV deal... Now if they'd only know what to do with it.
  11. Blasphemy Actually I liked Excalibur's commentary, it was pretty decent for a beginner and Rivera kinda has to grow on you as well. Anyway, Good review... Also to anyone looking for a longer more detailed MESSIAH shoot interview.. check out the one he did with AWS in california... Only place it's available online now is at TopNotchTapes.com But it's def. worth it.
  12. Michael Jackson, Before he went totally insane.. he actually made some great albums.
  13. I thought that "Talkin' Baby" thing was funny the first time I saw it. Now after the 40th time it's just really annoying.
  14. Conan alone is good... but Conan with Andy is even better. So I voted for "with Andy"
  15. Good stuff, I'd like to see the other Cabana "Best Ofs" reviewed as well.
  16. Colt 45 is a Double Underhook into a Canadian Backbreaker (an Underhook version of A-Train's Train Wreck) Here's an Animation version from Colt's site: http://www.angelfire.com/nb/pick2k/sigani.txt And that match was on GLORY BY HONOR
  17. ECW: ECW: Hardcore History ECW: Path Of Destruction ECW: Deep Impact ECW: Extreme Evolution ECW: Best of Cactus Jack ECW: Best of the Dudley Boyz WWE: WWE: From the vault: Shawn Michaels WWE: Rey Mysterio 619 WWE: Summerslam 2002 XPW: (Alot of XPW is bad.. but these are pretty good) XPW: Best of The Enterprise XPW: Redemption XPW: Hostile Takeover XPW: Fall Out XPW: Best of XPW TV vol.1
  18. I'd reccomend "Do or Die", Great show done without most of the normal ROH roster.
  19. Sounds great, I hope they can get Super Dragon again and maybe Bobby Quance (he needs the exposure)
  20. Yes, thankfully Ultimo is in
  21. Sadly, it appears pretty impossible for MST3k to ever get shown on TV again (to many rights issues and red tape) which is a damn shame.. that show was great I just wish RHINO would be better with releasing new eps on DVD and maybe get a Special Edition of "MST3k:The Movie" out
  22. it doesn't say anything about Tommy Dreamer or Spanky in the game either... well it least Stevie made it this time.
  23. Yeah WWE style thing, Nothing was shown at all... but on the "Free Fall" DVD they make up for it by including some clips of the girls.
  24. Good to see they will be using Sonjay Dutt, That guy just plain rules
  25. I think Guerrilla is a great name for a Indy promotion, really fits the whole indy tone. "Indy wrestling is about as "guerrilla" as it gets" (as said Gary Yap on the Messiah Ep of American's Most Wanted) Here's how websters defines it: Guerrilla (Page: 656) Guer*ril"la (?), n. [sp., lit., a little war, skirmish, dim. of guerra war, fr. OHG. werra discord, strife. See War.] 1. An irregular mode of carrying on war, by the constant attacks of independent bands, adopted in the north of Spain during the Peninsular war. 2. One who carries on, or assists in carrying on, irregular warfare; especially, a member of an independent band engaged in predatory excursions in war time. &hand; The term guerrilla is the diminutive of the Spanish word guerra, war, and means petty war, that is, war carried on by detached parties; generally in the mountains. . . . A guerrilla party means, an irregular band of armed men, carrying on an irregular war, not being able, according to their character as a guerrilla party, to carry on what the law terms a regular war. F. Lieder. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guerrilla (Page: 656) Guer*ril"la, a. Pertaining to, or engaged in, warfare carried on irregularly and by independent bands; as, a guerrilla party; guerrilla warfare. I think it works
