I have almost no memory of that Prime Time sig I had that somebody commented on. Now i want to see it. Looking at the thread subtitle, let me just say I would GLADLY take money from ANY country, no matter how much I dislike it. Even a country I bash 24/7 - if anything it'd feel good taking their money.

Pierce doesn't seem to be so hot in game winners this year. Ray Allen is their real clutch guy and shoulda been taken that last shot at the buzzer IMO.

to the Celts credit, all 3 of those losses (Det, Orl, Cle) were very close games. Or, if you want to look at it a different way you could say they have a problem winning close games against good EC competition. speaking of Perkins, this made me laugh:

that was a hell of a game there on ESPN - Billups pulling all kinds of gritty play in the clutch, Ray Allen just long bombing it the f out of there, that 3 pointer was just sick, multiple game winning chances.. I'm really looking forward to a possible playoff series. its worth noting that all 3 of the Celtics' losses have been to the top 3 teams in the east (after them), pistons, cavs, and the magic, and havent played any western powers yet. but still their record is impressive and they were all close.

But why would Sylar work with anyone? His whole M.O. is finding people and taking their powers. So? The Heroes writers aren't exactly known for nuance here. They throw out superhero cliches at a rapid pace, complete with somewhat contrived motivations and comic-esque plot twists - get by mainly because of the 'fun' factor of it all and the actors and the ooh cool use of powers. All it takes is one cheesy line about him using the other evils to help him track and down kill "good guy" Heroes and steal their powers, and he has comic-book motivation.

Or they could write something that isn't as dull as the "Livin' With The Others" arc. Its execution, not premise. The Others were boring. And they remained that way until Ben's flashback episode. It'll be better if the new guys are used sparingly probably. Last season was SO MUCH better when they moved away from the mundane dullness of The Others (man, they were so... ORDINARY, wtf) and went back to the Lostaways full time.

Good stuff. I hope the people on the boat though don't become the 'new Others' (very mundane "ordinary" people up to cryptic and never explained evil)

Yeah a lot of shots are WAY better in the official version. Like the "like me!!" shot turns out is actually a badass shot of Joker alone in the street. the first real shot of Joker's face (evening commisioner!) is much cooler and creepier and less dopey than it seemed in the bootleg. Maggie Gyllenhaal is also a huge improvement i think, even in tiny short clips of her I buy her way more than crooked smile katie holmes. The HD versions are definately worth downloading.

The prologue was great, though i wish it wasn't so clipped image wise, was hard to tell what was going on. The Joker is great, even with the dopey way they handled his smile. I'm really excited... though everything's been so joker-dominated that I want to see more about what Batman is gonna be going through. the trailer seemed like it might be implying some kinda crisis of bat-faith by bruce wayne? like he doesn't know what to do feels lost, etc. i wonder if he quits and thats why gordon smashes the bat signal? there was some batman comic story once where batman disappeared and gordon became very bitter towards him, no man's land i think.

If Huckabee ends up the Republican nominee, that would make the election choice very easy for me. I am not someone who is even remotely comfortable with the religious right making heavy inroads in policy making, and Huckabee seems like a real advocate for them rather than just paying lip service. Not sure if the glass jaw thing is very wise though, Democrats have proven to be remarkably inept at politics in recent years, and i"m not sure they are good enough to narrowcast and break the glass jaw.

Yeah it needs to be inclined somehow (... which would make it essentially a monitor). It's cool as hell, but i can't imagine actually using it regularly if i have to lean over it. the thing that really awesome was when the guy flicked the picture "into" his phone (or pda whatever that was) - presumably loading it up. Having just spent too much time getting my crap into iTunes and syncing to my iPod, that was just amazing to see. Multi-touch is awesome, it's a shame its not more widespread yet.

I'm certainly not blaming Tinsley but it is strange and kinda funny how this stuff keeps happening to the Indiana Pacers. Well as funny as an equipment manager being SHOT can be.

that would be cool. something similar to the Wii's "nunchuck" attachment for the left hand would do the trick. Actually now that I think about it, it's such a foolproof idea i'm surprised i dont see a ton of these analog only PC controllers on the market.
