  1. It is terrible news, I never knew he was in such bad shape. I wish him well and hope he does what's best for himself and his family. I think he would be excellent as a commentator if he would want to go into that role. He would be an entertaing color man.

I totally forgot about Sydney. He was a pretty badass villain, and I especially liked his design. Vagrant Story in general is one of those game gems that few people seem to have played.
  3. SmackDown!: This game don't taste like chocolate SmackDown!: It's true! It's True! ( I actually think this one would be a really good title) SmackDown!:This game will never be as good as No Mercy SmackDown!: Crazier than a pet 'coon
  4. Submission holds? He had the bearhug for awhile, but dropped it. For the most part, a Brock Lesnar match consists of the following moves. Shoulder charges in the corner. A belly-to-belly suplex. A clothesline or two. An F5.
  5. I just don't like Brock Lesnar in general, and him as champion is just a mistake. He has no charisma, he has an incredibly ugly physique, he has no mic skills and he has a very limited moveset. He is champion within his first year on television. He is not ready to be champ. It's really that simple.
  6. That "blow to the noggin' " as Lesnar so eloquently put it, must have rattled the little amount of wrestling knowledge he had straight out of his molasses-like brain.
  7. They could have Mack lose to a white guy in a tag match, with Booker on the team against Mack. Then, they follow up and start a program between Mack and the other wrestler. The reason Booker T should be involved is that this gives Teddy Long fuel to keep the gimmick alive "The only reason you won the match was because a brother was helping you out." or something along those lines. This would allow Mack and Long to still look strong and slowly pull away from the gimmick. Mack is such a terrible worker, it's a good thing he has such a great catch phrase and Teddy Long's suits to keep him afloat.
  8. Wow, I'm glad they gave the belt to this guy, he's not green or anything. And his promo skills, damn. I'm still speechless. Seriously, that was sick. I don't much care for A-train but I certainly don't want to see him seriously injured.

I voted Ganon, but where's Solidus and Liquid from Metal Gear Solid?
  10. It was probably cut because of the whole racism thing. TSN always cuts whenever a female wrestler/non wrestler is beaten up by a male wrestler as well.

He looked like such a moron running around with this huge grin on his face yelling "Yep, I landed on mah noggin'!". At least I could tolerate him before, but if this is his new demeanor as "hyper-hillbilly"...ugh.
  13. I can see the headlines now... "Smarks the world over boycott WWE on May 5th, WWE pulls in highest rating in 10 years!"
  14. I've lost interest in the WWE product a lot as of late, and especially since Kurt Angle left for his neck surgery. Who gives a damn anymore, it's the same thing week-in and week-out. I will be boycotting WWE on May 5th. I strongly urge the rest of you to do so as well.

I love how Rock exits the ring after that, not even looking at Goldberg. Cracks me up every time. This thread has brought back some great memories.
  16. Double Post ! GAHHHHHHH!
  17. If Bret were to ever come back for one last match, which is incredibly unlikely simply because of his health, it sounds as though he would really like to get in the ring with Angle, which would just be mind boggling. I would love to see it.
  18. Honestly, it seems pretty likely it is true. What would you think if you were pushed as heavily as he was in your debut year? I'm only speculating here, and I could very well be wrong, but damn he's probably thinking he's the greatest wrestler on the face of God's green earth right about now, or in his mind, "why else would they push me so much?" Maybe this SSP WAS a wake-up call and Brock now realizes he's not invincible nor God's Gift to Wrestling.
  19. As a person I don't like Goldberg. He seems very much to just be pandering to what people want to hear and trying to make himself sound like this selfless hero, when in reality we all know exactly what kind of man he is. That line about being 50-75% is better than 100% of 99.9 % of the people on the planet shows just what a cocky son of a bitch he is. But I will give him a chance on television. If he can pull off some good matches and bring in some new viewer base for the WWE, then I'm all for him. I just don't want to see him getting the WCW monster push again. We already have someone like that on Smackdown! thank you very much.
  20. The pushes are very similar, unfortunately every worthwhile mid-card title Brock could have won on the road to the big championship have been abandoned by the company. So while Kurt Angle had to go through the motions with some of the lesser titles (european, IC, etc) Brock basically showed up and shot to the top within virtually a matter of months. A little more development time without the title chase would've done him wonders to keep him humbler.
  21. Still wouldn't surprise me though. When you're 25 years old and in your first year in the WWE and you're given nothing but championships and monster-pushes, I'd expect anyone in that predicament would have a big ego. I've heard a couple other things such as this before nvolving the Green Giant, perhaps there is some truth there. And Brian, to be fair, at least Kurt has earned some right to be cocky and self-assured. The man has left a huge legacy (amateur wrestling) in his wake, and he's just all around good as a professional wrestler. Brock is decent at best, but has been given such a large push that he looks better than he really is. I give him a year before people are so tired of him and his one-dimensionality and lack of mic skills that marks and smarks alike turn on him.
  22. I got the game today, and I am loving it. I personally think the graphics are outstanding, and have always thought so. Many people view the game's graphics as "kiddie" and "unaccomplished", but honestly, as an artist myself, I can say that this game has the most polish I've ever seen. The style isn't half-assed or stupid, it has been well thought out and I think it shows. I love the smoke effects. I just beat the first dungeon, and I don't want to give anything away, but it was just great. All the puzzles made sense, everything worked out so well. And damn, I love those ash and cinder effects that fly through the air (you'll see what I mean.) I actually think I need to go back to the windmill town because I missed some things I want to get. Awesome game, awesome. Reminds me of why I like playing games in the first place. A darker Zelda would certainly be interesting, but I don't know how much better it would actually be.
  23. JR-"Scott Steiner not doing a lot of wrestling tonight in this match." Quote of the night.
  24. Yes, word of mouth can be a very powerful thing, especially because of the internet. But for someone like myself who lives somewhat up in the sticks, where wrestling promotions rarely (and I do mean rarely) come, for someone like myself I would really have no options until another wrestling program was picked up. And by that time many people in my situation may give up and forget about wrestling altogether. Either way, it would be an interesting state of affairs should the WWE pass on. I don't see it happening within the next 5 years personally.
  25. I'd pay for an Austin-HHH feud just for the simple fact that they'd probably be shooting on each other every time a promo was cut. Could lead to some interesting stuff. Other than that, I'd love to see both Booker and Jericho go over at Mania. Will it happen? Maybe now, since they are losing so many stars it will happen. Vince can't afford to lose any more of his heavy hitters without making some new top players.
