  1. It's funny how in those posts he's insulting creative, and in this one he's praising them and saying he almost got a job.
  2. The thing is, the angle's are embarrassing. Casual viewers are too embarrassed to admit to their non-watching friends what they saw, or if they do talk about it, they talk about it in an unflattering way that won't get viewers. If a casual viewer is tuning into a wrestling show to not see wrestling, things have gone horribly wrong.
  3. Who COULDN'T relate to that classic feud!? Who DOESN'T have sex with corpses? Exactly! Also, just last week, I fell into a FIERY INFERNO and guess what... ...I lived! Did you track down the guy who did it and hook up a car battery to his testicles? I know I did that when it happened to me.
  4. So at first you say you "think" that Jericho will sleep with her and then drop her. Then, you suddenly say that you've spoken with Gerwitz and it's a done deal. And then you start insulting people who question the storyline. Great. I love your "original" name too.
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  6. I saw it live as well. Maybe I really need to see it on tape, but Corino-Cide had me on my feet nearly the whole match. Benoit & Angle was good, but not "I must mark out like a bitch" good. you didn't mark out like a bitch when benoit blew a snot rocket the size of his fist? when he hit the flying headbut from 3/4 of the ring away? when angle dumped him into the turnbuckle & gave him an olympic slam, and he kicked out? Not to mention the DDT on the apron. I really marked out on that spot.
  7. Well, it's his interview, he can say what he wants in it.
  8. I'd say it's a tie between Austin's goatee and Hogan's moustache. The others were forgettable for the most part, but those two stick in my mind as defining traits.
  9. What about Benoit? He has the current, scraggly stubble look, but I think he could pull off a thicker beard quite well.
  10. I'm pretty excited by this game, I have to say, but I'm still gonna wait until I get a general consensus from reviews before I decide to buy it or not. I'm still shocked no one has been able to match No Mercy for N64 despite at least a dozen wrestling games coming out since then. What, was the secret formula lost and no developers can play the game to figure out what makes it so special?
  11. It was going around before that he's said that he was sexually abused by his mother, but his step-father was also abusive towards his mother, and he felt compelled to defend her. I might be wrong, but I think that's how it went.
  12. Sheniqua (sp?) looks like she got some implants to help her look more feminine.
  13. Buff Bagwell: "Vince, I'm telling you, $100k a year is just obscene for a man of my many, many, many talents. I mean, there are a lot of expenditures that are simply part of being a wrestler; those ivory backscratchers don't come cheap, Vince. And you can't use them more than once, that's the rule. No, no I'm not making that up. I don't know who MADE the rule Vince, but that is the rule. Yeah, and limo's need CHAUFFEURS, Vince. Yeah, but it's all useful stuff, stuff I NEED as a wrestler, just to maintain this physique. I'd need at least...$8 million a year just to break even. Yeah, you give me that as a starting point and I'll considering letting the fans see what STUFF the BUFF is made of. Hello? H-Hello?"
  14. The black mist gives you the trots.
  15. I was gonna start it as the Canadian thread, because I am a Canadian, but it flopped last time and only picked up once it aired in the U.S. anyways, so I didn't bother. Last time the extent of the canadian part of the thread was myself and Tawren talking back and forth.
  16. Please, take my money WWE, try to get yourself a warm meal and some good clothes and get back on your feet.
  17. Vincent Kennedy McMahon - Sooper Genius.
  18. I think it's funny that every week someone says this is the dumbest thing they've ever seen in wrestling. Virtually every week. Really gives me hope in the product.
  19. R.I.P Stu. Thanks for all the innumerous contributions to the world of wrestling.
  20. Yanked from WWE.com: LAST STOP BEFORE NO MERCY Oct. 16, 2003 No Mercy will be just three days away when SmackDown! kicks off tonight (8/7 CT) on UPN. Many of the Superstars who will be battling at this Sunday's pay-per-view -- including Undertaker, A-Train, Kurt Angle, John Cena, Brock Lesnar and more -- will be on hand at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati for SmackDown!, no doubt looking to gain a psychological (and physical) advantage. General Manager Stephanie McMahon has reportedly been banned from her own show -- forbidden from being at the building by her father, Mr. McMahon, who she will face this Sunday in the first-ever Father/Daughter I Quit Match. But Stephanie will be on the show tonight, part of a special sit-down interview conducted by Michael Cole. What's on Stephanie's mind as she prepares to step into the ring in this extremely unusual match? The U.S. Champion, Eddie Guerrero, goes one on one against Rhyno tonight, just three days before Latino Heat defends his title against the Big Show! Chris Benoit will battle Doug Basham. Will this amount to a tune-up for Benoit as he readies to take on A-Train this Sunday? Or will Basham have a few tricks up his sleeve and pull off the upset? Plus, Rey Mysterio takes on Johnny Stamboli, who will be accompanied by the other two members of the FBI (Nunzio & Chuck Palumbo). With No Mercy just three days away, expect the unexpected tonight on SmackDown!, 8/7 CT on UPN.
  21. They do? I thought they looked pretty good, considering it's for PS2. But hey, what do I know? I've only been playing videogames for 15 years. I think he means in some of the more recent builds, they do look alittle off, but that has to be expected due to them putting in the other graphics, they probably had to tone back on the poly count(at least that is what it looks like to me) And how does playing games 15 years make your ability to SEE better than his. He looked at the models and didn't think they looked good. Many people I know who aren't gamers don't understand hardware limitations and things of that nature, that's why I consider it somewhat relevant. Someone who has been playing games for a long time will understand better the work it requires to get decent models (and likenesses, in this case) out of fairly slow hardware (PS2). I've had non-gaming engineering friends tell me the gamecube's Resident Evil remakes had "easy to pull off" graphics. They thought you just pull some hoodoo, throw in some quick programming and voila, instant graphics. I've even been asked why they don't just take a photograph of things and use that ( ) Some people just have no idea what goes into them. Now, I spouted that off ignorantly towards Nevermortal (assuming perhaps he had a similar mindset to above) and I apologize for that. If he doesn't like them, he doesn't like them.

  23. This is a shameful showing from us canucks, we get our own thread for SmackDown! and then only myself and Tawren post in it. For shame.
  24. Big Show expanded his moveset! Kicks to the ribs! I'm impressed.
