"It's a fantastic innovation, Ken." We totally came up with this first. That's Sony. First. Yes. I love how smug and happy Ken looked, as if he actually came up with this idea. I cannot believe how blatant this is. I feel like I want to vomit.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! They've got a big set of balls on them, doing this with the controller.

It's still very, very obvious what is real-time and what is pre-rendered in these videos. I especially like how they added the cross-hairs in on that "Eight Days" game to make it seem like it was real-time, yet they had cut-scene camera angles in the MIDDLE of a supposed fire-fight.

Very unimpressive stuff for the PS3 at this point. Virtua fighter and Smackdown look better, but not so much that it makes much of a difference. I think some game "journalists" should put the screws to them for their pre-rendered hype videos not being even near close, but we'll see what E3 brings. It's all about Wii this time around at E3, and it's going to take some very heavy lifting from Sony or Microsoft to upstage it, and frankly, I doubt they're up to the task.

You can't go wrong with Day of Reckoning 2. I own it and many of the Smackdown! series of games on PS2 (HCTP and SvsR2006) and I prefer to play DOR 2 any day of the week. The gameplay is as close as you're going to get to No Mercy, which is very, very good. The story mode is good while it lasts, but very linear. It's really the only WWE wrestling game you need for the Gamecube.

PS and PS2 memory cards won't work on it? I thought this system was supposed to be backwards compatible with majority of the software? So we have to replay all of those games again just to save them on the PS3 memory card, we can't even transfer them over? What a joke. Also Anya, the Nintendo remote will fit into a "regular" shell controller for things like fighting games, etc. Just wanted to point that out.

I thought I was really going to be into this game, what with IGN proclaiming it to be the best wrestling game since No Mercy. But so far, it's a bit of a disappointment. The gameplay is very stiff and all over the place, the character creation mode has nice models now, but the clothing and pattern options are a joke. The Create-An-Entrance mode is awful, because there is no way to preview anything (besides music and entrance videos) without waiting through at least a 10 second loading screen. Going from Day of Reckoning 2's robust creation system which allowed you to preview everything on the fly with no loading, being able to create custom patterns for masks and clothing, and DOR 2's great gameplay is very jarring. I hope this game gets better the more I play it. What I can say is that it does offer a lot of things to do, lot's of match types, lots of cool little touches and features.

It's still hard to believe this is real, it was just completely out of left field. My thoughts go out to his family and friends, I can't imagine how difficult this is for them. I still remember at the first house show I ever went to, when he stood up on the turnbuckle during his intro, I was a few rows back from the ring and was standing and clapping for him. He stopped, looked and pointed at me, and gave me a little nod and a smile. I'll miss you Eddie, Rest in Peace.

Dave Perry is out of his mind if he thinks interchangeable controller faceplates for every game would be a good idea. Imagine how much hassle it would cause. "Oh, I'd love to play this game again, but I lost the buttons for it somewhere. Oh well." - "Ready for some multiplayer? Did you bring your controller with the special faceplate?" "Uh, no. I don't own this game, so I don't have the faceplate." "Oh well, you can watch me play then." I guess he doesn't like having to use his imagination to think up the possibilities of an actual innovative controller, he'd rather just fantasize about jamming as many buttons onto a controller as possible and trying to think up uses for each one.

I can't believe how negative the majority of you are over this... I, for one, welcome this change. Full 3-D control sounds badass to me, and if the standard Revolution controller wouldn't work with a game, they can always use the Gamecube pad instead. At the very least, Nintendo delivered on their promise. They said it was going to be different and change the way we played games, and it certainly is and will. I know for a fact, if it was something like a conventional pad that had an added feature (gyroscopes, touchscreen, etc.) everyone would STILL be mad because it wasn't revolutionary enough! I can't wait to give it a spin and see what they have cooking.

Credit: IGN GameCube I wonder what other companies are going to be interested in picking up the rights for WWE games...

You go through season mode with 1 CAW until they have respectable stats. Once they do, you go in and copy them over and over as many times as you like. You can then change the copies as you see fit (appearance, moveset, etc). That's the quickest way I know of.

I love how Kane instinctively finds places with red lighting so he can stand there brooding while staring at a wall.

WTF? Thanks. I was referring to the fact that that post made you seem as if you had the brain capacity of an 8 year old. And evidently I'm not the only one that thinks that... Alright well double that and you got my real age but I was just saying that the guy sounded like a moron when he asked that question to Stacy. Thanks. You are so right, every time someone asks "Hey, what do you do?" I break out laughing because it sounds like they're talking about dog doo! Then I call them a moron and go stare directly at the sun for extended periods of time.

Kurt Angle & Dawn Marie Interview Highlights
Invictus replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Lesnar hit Angle with a really stiff chairshot to the neck/head a few months ago, causing one of his discs to blow apart, which required more surgery. That certainly didn't help matters. -
JBL's opening segment was great, I'm still loving all of his promos. Even if his in-ring performance is still in the gutter, I can honestly say I am enjoying Bradshaw in some capacity.

Ties are really impratical for wrestling, they get in the way too much and can be used against the person (choking, etc) so you don't see them too often.
-
No, I think they're just giving him time off for now, and when he does start wrestling again it'll be a more reduced schedule. Like maybe a couple tv matches here and there and PPV matches.
-
THANK YOU. Enough of this putting Benjamin over garbage. Four white guys beating up another black man. I mean, Rock got his in 2000 (half-black). I hated the post-match. So because all of Evolution happens to be white and Benjamin happens to be black they can't do what's been done in wrestling hundreds of times before with the heel group beating the face down post-match?

I still don't get "leaving us high and dry" If they had big, important plans for Brock and he stormed out, that would be leaving them high and dry. As is, he was probably gonna play the role Booker is playing a house shows, and doggamnit, it looks like they found someone to play that "built for Brock and ONLY Brock" role. It's not just the programs he was in at the moment, why are you being so damn short-sighted? It was the fact that they put a LOT of money behind him to market him as a top star, in a time when WWE is starting to run short on star power. They gave him a push that let him, essentially, run over the entire roster for his 2 years in the company, gave him the belt several times in that period, and had how many big names lay down for him. Just because he was probably going to be doing a program with Taker for the next few months doesn't mean squat. You make it sound like that's what he was going to be doing for the rest of his 7 year contract. They built him up for long term use and were hoping to get a lot more mileage out of all that hard earned star power they gave him, but he rendered that entirely null and void.
-
It was probably a fountain drink, but either way that would piss me off as well. I hate hillbilly jackasses who try to become part of the show or attack wrestlers (or worse in this case, his kids) so they can go brag to their buddies at the dirt factory how they "almost beat up Eddie Guerrero". Luckily no one was hurt, but it probably scared his kids out of their minds. The cops probably brought him down to the ring so Eddie could get a look at him.

I think JRE is right, those look like cuts of meat behind him and he's either holding onto some sort of meat hook or a giant saw.

Wrong. THe female body is built differently than a male body. Weight doesn't mean that the person is going to be more or less frail. it depends on where the weight is among many things. Of course the male and female bodies are structured differently, but at that weight there isn't really gonna be much of a difference unless the man is VERY short. They were both hypothetically attacking me in the same vicious way, so how come it's wrong to defend myself against one but not the other?
