  1. Shhhh. Look into my eyes: Logic bad Kayfabe good Logic bad Kayfabe good Logic bad Kayfabe good Logic bad Kayfabe good Logic bad Kayfabe good Sure, you laugh now, but you'll all be chanting it in work tommorrow.
  2. I'm sure that in 30 years time, if we all start dropping dead from mobile-phone induced brain tumours, we'll claim we had no idea too. Sometimes it's better to asume that nothing bad will happen until you have proof, and it was only relatively recently that reports came out incontrovertably linking smoking with cancer. And on the Yokosuna issue, if i see someone overweight complaining abot being fat, i usually think that they ought to get off their bitch ass and do something about it. However, everyone is stressed sometimes, and everyone needs their vices to cope with life. be it eating, drinking of smoking to ease the pain, its a human condition.
  3. could it be cause Vince was considering changing raw to nitro? That way SD would have the WWE titles and Raw would have the World/WCW titles. Just a thought.
  4. Hmmm, back on topic... This whole debate seems tohave started over whether fabolous is a suitable guest for Wrestlemania. Personally i like rap. I listen to Outkast, Goodie Mob, and the whole DF crew. I like Jay-Z, Nelly, Eminem and a load of other mainstream acts. I like Wu-Tang, PE, NWA and other old skool stuff. I think anything Pharrell touches is gold. However I've never heard of Fabolous. It's not cause i don't go out. It's not cause i don't listen to popular radio, or watch MTV or like good music. It's not even cause i'm white (Though i'm guilty of all the above). It's cause i'm not American. It seems to me hardly anyone outside the states has heard of fabolous. We dont get yor adverts, and music takes a while to get here. It seems that this year, what the world is watching is a rapper and two ropey bints that hardly anyone outside North America has heard of. And Limp Bizkit. Yay. That'll turn WWE into a global company Vince. Aside from this, fabolous may pop a few sales, especially in the hardcore rap/muso community. But whats the point where 90% of your performers from minorities are stereotypes? And it certainly wont do the type of business Snoop would do. If GGW could get him, why not WM? Discuss
  5. I think he's just a US thing, like the catfight girls (although catfights= ratings worldwide). At least Bizkit, for all their faults, are world famous. I'm pretty up on my music (including rap) and i've never heard of the guy. Damn, i feel old
  6. Damn, i was looking forward to Cena vs Durst: battle of the wiggers. Durst may suck, but at least he rhymed "fuck the glam rock" with "assed out like Ken Shamrock" Fucking GENIOUS Second most random WWE lyric after Outkast singing bout Dusty Rhodes
  7. If i may: WWE Title Match Kurt Angle © vs. Brock Lesnar Brock $100 World Title Match HHH vs. Booker T. HHH $50 The Rock vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin The Rock $50 Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Micheals Jericho $50 Hulk Hogan Retirement Match Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon Hogan $50 WWE Tag Team Titles Match Team Angle © vs. Los Guerreros vs. Chris Benoit & Rhyno Team Angle $50 WWE Cruiserweight Title Match Matt Hardy, Version 1 © vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey Mysterio $50 Undertaker and Nathan Jones vs. A-Train and The Big Show Taker/Jones $50 WWE Women's Title Match Victoria © vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz Trish $50
  8. I'd ask any wrestler with a mask if they ever forgot they were wearing it when they left the arena or went to the shop or whatever. I've got an image of Goldust going to the newsagents for a packet of fags in his facepaint
  9. Hmmm, it seems as though Edge, if he wasn't injured, would be in Rhynos position at WM. That would have been cool, and makes me more convinced that there'll be a heel turn in their match. Anyone going to WM take a Degenerated Nex sign for Benoit/Rhyno.
  10. Heh heh, this is all so stupid. I love it
  11. You would have put the title on Steiner after the crowd shitted on him? If they wanted to put the belt on Steiner they would have decided before the match started. Hopefully. And when has Vince been that woried about crowd reaction?
  12. HHH v Steiner answered that. Fucking the bosses daughter wins every time.
  13. RVD/Kane v Storm/Morley - Crowd should be hot, especially if this is the curtain jerker. Typical spot-fest, but i can imagine a few of them will be blown. And a Dudley Boyz run in will nurt the rating *1/2 Matt v Rey - Depends entirely on how long its given. Expect Reyto pull out all the stops for WM. If the Crowd gets into it it should be *** at least. Taker/Jones v Big Show/A-Train - Should be a big man spot-fest. If it's short and they tag out when they're tired instead of doing rest-holds it should be *1/2. hopefully. HBK v Y2J - If they can get the crowd into it, it should be good. More emotional than "good" wrestling and both men should be pumped up. **1/2 Jazz v Trish v Victoria- Should be short, and i mark out for 3-way bouts. AS good as WWE Womens wrestling gets. *3/4 Team Angle v Guererros v Benoit/Rhyno - Could be best on the card. Solid 15 minute bout would be **** plus, but i don't know if it'll get that. Booker T v HHH - Could be seriously bad. But hopefully, good booking will get it to *1/2 Angle v Brock - If Angle was 100%, i'd say ****, but now it totally depends on Angles condition. Expect an emotional match with the crowd pushing it up to ***. Austin v Rock - Wont be up to their previous efforts as they are ring rusty and there isn't the emotion they had in the past. I say **, but it could swing either way Vince v Hogan - Depends on whether the crowd is still hot. If it's on last, expect a major twist to end the PPV. wrestle wise, a blatant DUD.
  14. I'm sure if anything Angle would want to be remembered as Olympic Champion. Charchter-wise, he should be considered a modern-day Mr. Perfect But hopefully in the future he'll be remembered as the original Chris Benoit
  15. I think Benoit and Rhyno will split at WM or soon after, with one of them turning, fueding for a while and the heel facing brock after Cena. I don't think Cena having no hope against Lesnar is a problem, cause Brock needs a run as a monster where he can get convincing wins at PPV's. HHH has got Austin, Nash and Goldberg to face. More important though is after Rock leaves ther are no other heels apart from HHH and Jericho (annother reason why Booker wont have a run as champion) meaning someone new gets the rub. Hopefully Big Show and A-Train will have a run as a tag team. I know this sounds stupid, but booked decently, having the big heels against the smaller faces could be a good feud. The main problem for WWE post WM is the lack of heels. Look at a list of the top bad guys: Angle (injured) HHH (semi-injured and losing heat rapidly) Jericho (push has stalled for too long to be pushed right now) Big Show (not over) A-Train (not over) Rock (Back in Hollywood for the summer) Discuss
  16. Truly Lance Storm is the mack daddy of groove.
  17. yeah, i reckon goldberg might show up.
  18. Look at it this way passenger, we get free PPV's thanx to the good folks at Sky. And mace, welcome to the board and wallow in the glory that only you out of all the people on the board appreciates Raw
  19. the problem is that all these big names are attracting the wrong fan base from a business point of view. The biggest money in any entertainment business (which is what WWE is, don't fool yourself) is in the kids, teenagers with disposable income. Guys like Goldberg, Steiner, Hogan and HBK appeal most to the people who were teen marks the first time they came around. For example, i mark out for HBK's entrance music because when i was 14 and into wrestling for the first time he was the cool champion. Therefore, i give him a nostalgia pop. However, to the young fans getting into wrestling today, the ones who still believe its kinda real, he's the guy that used to be cool, who used to be big. The guy his parents or older brother liked. Which, as we all know, is not gonna make you like something more. It's like a band from the mid nineties who were cutting edge then, but just sound dated now. As soon as the nostalgia pops die out, unless you move onto something else you're gonna be forgotten. Look at flair. He's reinvented himself, and is now more over than HHH without stepping foot in the ring (something Hunter could learn from). If they bring Goldberg in as a new charachter and try to build him up he'll get over, but if he's bought in to trade on former glories he'll fail. Look at Booker T, he needed to be reinvented before WWE fans grew to like him and get behind him. Discuss
  20. i think foley needs WWE as much as they might need him. without the wrestling connection he's just another author. and money>dignity and common sense
  21. if trish wins, it leaves two heels chasing her. So it's logical she wins.... in that case, jazz wins
  22. The only names i can think of left in the US (who can still wrestle) are Luger, Sting and Foley, and the first two are shot to fuck. I call Foley as the next big signing.
  23. WMX7 when jeff tried to walk across the tops of three ladders to get the title, then fell off in the funiest way possible. And KING MABEL........... that is all
  24. Maybe, but the situation is improving. And with a face lke mine, you've gotta be an optimist
