  1. There was at least one on the Great American Bash Tour '88 pitting the Windahm-version of the Horsemen against your usual cast of babyfaces. Don't know if you can find it anywhere on tape though!!
  2. "Who?" PURE GOLD! I so remember that... from Summerslam 92... as Mooney was goin to interview the Nasty Boyz And about 100 other times. If a Heenan joke worked once...
  3. I SWEAR this guess mentioned on a thread every six days.

    Jason

Yes. I stumbled over an old Raw tape of mine recently and there were jobber matches with both Jason Knight and whateverMamalukewasajobberbackthen,Ican'trememberhisname. If you talk to Knight at a CT indy show nowadays, he'll happily go on a drunken tirade about "how ecw fucked him over."
  5. Tne New Universe story seems so interesting. Shooter decides that it's a good idea to celebrate Marvel's 25th anniversary with the introduction of a New Universe. Marvel cancels half a dozen comics to make way for it. And it's kind of a flop. It lasted for about three years. Shooter ends up leaving the company half way through and others pick up the slack and try to make something of it. DP7 was really enjoyable (it's Mark Gruenwald afterall!) and Starbrand was interesting.

Maybe. KINGDOM COME stunk though. I'd say it's overrated, but it hardly stunk. But this is coming from the poster who would rather just agree to disagree, then provide an actual basis of reasoning for their asinine opinions on TDKR. I don't recall exactly to what you're referring to but I'd be happy to elaborate on my thoughts on KC. There's not much of a story. it doesn't move me in the slightest. Waid got the characters of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman pretty close. And that's it. The story is so simplistic and uninteresting. As a collection of pretty pictures, I could see people liking it (although I'm not a fan of Ross's super realistic art). Otherwise, you'll have to explain to me why it's so great. Then again, Waid's work leaves me pretty cold for the most part.
  7. I'd love to read a behind-the-scenes article on the New Universe. Anythink out there on the internet??

    In your twisted mind, perhaps.
  10. The Hardcover (which includes the 22 pages of art finished from Avengers/JLA Mach. One done in the 80's) is due this summer. Trade paperback to follow?

That was completely unbelievable. It totally disregarded all of Superman's abilities. A poor job of writing on Miller's part (although DKR is excellent otherwise). No, it was brilliant. It illustrated a simple point: With sheer will and a plan one man can move mountains. That's what it symbolized and there's nothing wrong with that. It makes no logical sense though. Logic and comics. A bit of a stretch! It does make sense. Batman fought dirty, and by the time Superman was willing to really FIGHT with him it was too late. I guess we'll just have to agree that you're wro- I mean, we'll have to agree to disagree! Peace.
  12. Nothing to be ashamed of there. They're very well written books.

Fairly even actually. With Captain America having the advantage. Batman's a better detective; Captain America's the better fighter. Not by a whole lot but...

  15. I actually read: FOREVER by Judy Blume Bob Ueker's autobiography THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY
  16. Why is that nice to know? Who cares? I know wrestling is your hobby and your post ir probably made all in good fun and all but... It's a fake freakin' belt! It gets "really" lost when the promotion says so. Who gives a crap if he left WCW never having "lost" the title. Sheesh. My apologies if that sounded harsh. Or if you're under the age of 16. Take it easy. You're far more worked up than I am. Sorry. I must have seen one too many "In my mind Owen Hart is a former World Champ because he beat Bret in a match once before the decision was reversed" posts. Carry on.
  17. That must be it. It couldn't be that people didn't care about Benoit because he's boring. Cause SID really helps the cause in that match........ No. But...

No. 98 times out of a 100, Batman would lose to Superman. Of course, anyone could lose to anyone. These characters aren't real and don't follow logic so any write could write any outcome.

Right! And that was and awful mini-series anyway. Decided by the fans. Therefore it was a popularity contest. That's the only contest won between Cap and Bat. Captain America had his number in Avengers/JLA.
  22. Huh? Clarification please? All I meant (which I should had said at the time) was, yes, they are probably among the most powerful DC villans. BUT they are all (except Darkseid) pretty boring characters. I have no use for tem and haven't read stories where they were portrayed in a particularly interesting fashion.

  24. Very, very good. Superhero comic of the decade (so far). Great art. Just a lot of fun. Some may call it disappointing but how could any story live up to the build-up? Close enough for me!
