DD was horrible beyond belief which is so offensive because DD has the potential to be the most dramatic, emotional super-hero movie ever. HULK was better although it had its share of problems, too.

Sigh. This is a rather silly topic. I'm not a fan of fantasy booking and I'm not a fan of "who are your fantasy bookers?" Since most of us aren't in the business, we really don't know how it's run and what makes a good booker. There are too many factors involved and too many people involved to know who's fully responsible for the good (or bad) final product. I suppose we can just suggest people that apparently know a lot about wrestling (Foley, Flair, etc.) and assume the results would be good. Although that hasn' always worked in the past.

On a side note, I loved the Hayes-Graham-Trongard combination for commentating on the MSG shows in 1989. Great bad stuff!

I want to say he was there for a year. The first time I saw him was doing backstage interviews at Wrestlemania 5. He did commentary at that year's SummerSlam and at the following year's Royal Rumble.

Those were amazing. Absolute gold.

Don't you just love when things like that happen while someone who's not a fan happens to watch. Not to mention the big boot of Andre's that send The Anvil flying over the top rope. Yikes.

I love that one too. I agree about his short work. I've got 1408 on tape. King reads it himself, and really takes advantage of the book on tape format in a way I've never seen. Music plays the reading in and out, and the way it comes in to close out the story, it makes you jump out of your fucking skin. I've listened to it a couple time, it gets me a little even when I know it's there. It was on a collection of three short stories loosely connected to smoking... at least one of them was exclusive to the tapes at the time, but they've all been in print by now. The other two stories were ok, but hindered because he tried to do an accent in both and didn't manage it too well. 1408 though... that's a great story. Does anyone know what the name of this audio collection is? I need to get it!
