Starship Troopers (1997) I could not live without this movie. It's funny, smart and even reminds me of my childhood.

Following TNG is a good thing....having knowledge of the original series is also good...but don't bother with Deep Space Nine and Voyager. Watch Deep Space Nine. In order it is without question the best of the treks, great writing, great acting, and I I tend to prefer shows with overreaching arcs.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Well I have to pick the other Ronald Moore series. Undoubtly my favorite Trek and there's seven seasons to watch. Great storylines, characters and I loved the war. Not like other Treks at all.

How I Met Your Mother A tough, tough choice for me. This draft has already seen two of my picks hit the dust (FNL and Boy Meets World) so I guess I'm picking my favorite currently running sitcom. Just very likable characters and a good mix of seventyfive percent comedy with a smattering of drama. But this was a tough one for me i've got a couple of others I really want to pick.

Friends Probably my favortie sitcom, good writing, plus plenty of episodes to keep me busy.

I just lived in Italy (Firenze) for the last four months , so I'm probably as qualified as anybody here to talk about this. That government is, has been, and always will be screwed up beyond belief. Since Fascism fell there have been almost 70 governments, and if you talk to some Italians they seem to long for a return to the stability that Fascism brought. They hate the political system. BerlusconI owns all the fucking media in the country and has proven Mafia ties but they all believe that they have no one better to vote for and it's true. The anti-immigrant sentiment is far stronger than any I've noticed in the US. I would not be that surprised to see a hard-right government emerge, and honestly nothing works in Italy (Just ask anyone in Naples about the trash) so maybe it couldn't hurt.

Firenze (Florence) so fairly far north. If you ask the northern Italians, Southern Intaly is not really Italy anyway. They want to drop Naples and everything below it.
