Dama, I'm putting up a OaO Orangel Bowl thread tommorrow so let's just save that until then especially with not everything decided yet. Weird game. USC has pretty much dominated but only up 20-10 because of poor special teams and were really bailed out by a terrible no fumble call.
-
Edit: wrong thread.
-
Navy has their game under control so Virginia (Edwin MacPhisto) are the Big Atlantic Champions. Edwin is on his way to the Bored Bowl. The score to the SEC title game could decide the Pac-8 title game. Big MAC title game won't be decided until late tonight with Hawaii game.
-
Ron Zook will apparantly be named the new head coach at Illinois. Va Tech scores first on Miami in the 2nd quarter, 7-0.
-
What the hell are you talking about? If Colorado wins the Big XII title game they are automatically in the Fiesta Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl wouldn't have a choice. Texas' only chance at going to a BCS bowl is to move past Cal. pinjockey if Oklahoma is upset they'll be knocked out of the BCS most likely. They'd likely drop below Cal in the voter polls.

Just his ninth team but his seventh since 2001.

Yes that's what he has admitted to but they had other evidence on Bonds that was presented to him (in the quotes in my previous post) but he denied them. So it's really down to if you believe Bonds or not. Those who have always thought Bonds was on steroids won't believe him and those who always thought he didn't take steroids will believe him. Basically we're back to square one in this debate. That's the same question I had when I first read it. Why would Anderson tell Giambi but not his good friend Bonds? Unless Bonds is lying of course...

http://www.newsday.com/sports/columnists/n...orts-columnists Newsday hit piece on Giambi's lifestyle off the field. Kinda all over the place, goes into his habitual steroid use and his well known all night partying (OMG an athlete drinking and going to strip clubs!) but this paragraph was fairly interesting:

It's bizarre seeing a MAC title game not in freezing weather. Boo-urns on having it in a dome. Looks like Toledo is going to win, up 35-20 late in the 4th.

Hudson isn't going to be traded before or during the season unless some team makes such an insanely stupid offer that Beane can't pass it up. And the lead candidates are supposedly the Marlins and the Angels??? Yes I'm sure Beane trades his #1 starter to the main competition in the division. Beane loves those first round compesation picks he gets when a free agent leaves the A's and he'll have no problem settling for that after the 2005 season if the A's haven't been able to work out a new contract with Hudson. Really all rumors of Hudson being traded are just wishful thinking by other teams and their fans. Now Barry Zito on the other hand any team could have for the right price.

Something to keep in mind going into Saturday: Cal has only a .0013 lead over Texas in the BCS standings.

Is saying you hate a sport really a confession? It's impossible to like every sport out there even the major ones. Anyways beyond some memorable meltdowns when I was younger after losses by my beloved A's or 49ers I guess a confession would be missing out on my only chance to go to a World Series. My father and I attended Game 3 of the 1989 World Series...yes the earthquake game. I was so traumatized by what happened that I absolutely refused to go to the game when the series continued ten days later and thus missed out on the A's destroying the Giants. Don't know if I'll ever have the opportunity to go to a World Series game again.

No Florida State is going to the Gator Bowl, accepted the invite yesterday. It will be the loser of the Virginia Tech/Miami game going to the Peach Bowl. Forgot about UConn but it's all for naught now, the rumor wasn't true and Boston College has been invited to the Continental Tire Bowl. Florida is going to the Peach Bowl, Wyoming to the Las Vegas Bowl.

Pleassssssssssse comeback to Stanford Ty. We know you're a great coach.
-
Stanford has fired head coach Buddy Teevens. Come on you knew a guy named "Buddy" coaching Stanford wouldn't work. Here's a bizarre rumor but I can't find a link to an article on it. Boston College is rumored to be going to the Ft. Worth Bowl. If this is true I wonder if this some sort of Big East backlash by getting their bowls to pass on BC. I would assume in this scenerio that the Continental Tire Bowl, the last Big East bowl bid, has invited Syracuse over BC. Edit: Georgia Tech accepts invite to the Tangerine Bowl.
-
I'd say the odds are you'd remain at #2. I can't completely breakdown a scenerio yet until I have all picks in this week but pretty much everything would have to break UCLA's way for them to move to #2.
