I don't know its preseason and its always better to see the first showing before they edit anything out. Although so far the only thing I'd see them editing was the Duran Duran audio fuck up. I missed Duran Duran - what did they do? They just came out to present an award with Kelly Osborne and Avril Lavigne but they got some special award. They were showing a video package of their old videos but there was no audio.

"Mediocre Green Day"...comic gold. -Speaking of that fag Timberlake see him blow off the Olsen Twins? Who wouldn't want to take advantage of an excuse to grope them? -Eminem's segment was funny and maybe he realized what a douche he came off as last year. -The 50 Cent/Snoop Dogg performance was just horrible and I'm not even one of those mindless rap hating drones. But at least Snoop's hoes looked good.

I agree with Rock hosting it will be funny and I hope they bring back Triumph for a third straight year to fuck things up but I'm kinda doubting it. The VMA's can be enjoyable if you just realize who wins these things is irrelevent. I mean NO ONE in their right mind that Lady Marmelade was the best video two years ago but if you just laugh at the terrible choices and not take it so seriously, which it really isn't meant to be, then you can enjoy the show. There always is at least one decent performance too.

I said "majority". You could definently argue the state of Florida is more of college sports state anyways as most of their pro teams didn't even exsist until the 90s.

The majority of places where college football has rabid fans is where pro sports don't dominate or not exsistant at all like Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Alabama. I'm a huge fan of college sports myself but from growing up in the Bay Area where pro sports dominate I know how some people don't give a shit about college sports. There Stanford and Cal don't generate even half the interest that the 49ers, Raiders, A's, and Giants get. Even when Stanford made it to the Final Four in '98 and then the Rose Bowl a couple of years later no one really cared.

Its baseball and it always will be baseball because its the PASTIME. Football is the present but you can't go back and change the past and baseball will always be it. Remember before the late 1950s the American public didn't give a shit about pro football.
