    1. I can't think of better option to fill those big shoes of Bobby Crosby. Trasitioning from Crosby to A-Rod, it'd be like Montana to Young. 2. 7 years, $200 million and all the manly strippers he can have.
  3. Thank you to Oregon State Vanessa Hudgens I do not have to worry about a Cal national championship, although still need to some help to avoid them getting to the Rose Bowl. With the BCS Rankings out I probably shouldn't even bother with this anymore but maybe one more week. Pretty simple there are five undefeated BCS teams so they make up my Top 5. This week though I now have to include two loss teams in the rankings and even rank some of them above one loss teams but I will rank all one loss teams. Now one rule that I always stick by is if you have two teams with the same number of losses and who have played each other, you must rank the winner of the head-to-head match-up higher. As much as I hate Cal there is no justifying ranking them below Oregon. Of course this rule has to be thrown out when you have a situation like with LSU, South Carolina, and Kentucky. LSU beat South Carolina, South Carolina beat Kentucky, Kentucky beat LSU. In this case given that yesterday's game could have gone either way and that LSU beat South Carolina convincingly, I've ranked LSU above Kentucky. 1. Ohio State 2. South Florida 3. Boston College 4. Arizona State 5. Kansas 6. LSU 7. South Carolina 8. Oklahoma 9. Kentucky 10. West Virginia 11. California 12. Oregon 13. Missouri 14. Virginia Tech 15. Auburn 16. Florida 17. Cincinnati 18. Texas Tech 19. Tennessee 20. USC 21. Virginia 22. Kansas State 23. Connecticut 24. Hawaii 25. Boise State
  4. Just a false tease, Top 5 as expected. BCS Top 25 1. Ohio State 2. South Florida 3. Boston College 4. LSU 5. Oklahoma 6. South Carolina 7. Kentucky 8. Arizona State 9. West Virginia 10. Oregon 11. Virginia Tech 12. California 13. Kansas 14. USC 15. Florida 16. Missouri 17. Auburn 18. Hawaii 19. Virginia 20. Georgia 21. Tennessee 22. Texas 23. Cincinnati 24. Texas Tech 25. Michigan

  6. I'm assuming it's the same deal as last year where they are announced on FOX after the games. I'm not sure if it will be after the early or late games though as they do have one late game but this isn't a doubleheader week for them. Right now it seems very likely the Top 5 will be Ohio State, South Florida, Boston College, LSU, Oklahoma.
  7. Coaches Poll Ohio State gets 56 of the 59 first place votes, LSU drops to #5, Cal drops below Oregon, USC drops two more spots.
  8. Looks like ASU will stay undefeated to keep it at five BCS conference teams. They're off next week and then we'll find out if their for real with a four game stretch of vs. Cal, at Oregon, at UCLA, and then vs. USC on Thanksgiving.
  9. I'll have to check with contest historians teke184 and CanadianChris, but this was probably the most uneventful week in the history of the contest. Only two Top 10 teams go down this week and in 16 of the 20 match-ups the higher ranked team won. So as you can imagine there's not much to talk about when it comes to the Top 10. We do have a couple of 5-2 teams hopping a 6-1 team and finally Fokai is back in the Top 10, barely. Other than that, really just remarkable how to form it went this week. Hopefully it will never happen again. 1. South Carolina - Cuban Linx 3.5 2. LSU - teke184 4.0 3. Oklahoma - Secret Agent 4.35 4. N.C. State - AboveAverage484 4.65 5. Syracuse - CanadianChris 6.05 6. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 6.7 7. Texas - UTBroward 6.75 8. Miami of Ohio - Hawk 34 7.15 9. Nebraska - Mecca 8.75 10. Hawaii - Fokai 9.65 Other Receiving Votes: Buffalo (Carnival), Florida State (King), Kent State (JHawk), Virginia (Edwin MacPhisto)

It's Official: Dusty Baker is the new manager of the Reds. In other news suicide rates jump dramatically in Cincinnati.
  12. Well in fairness to Cal they would have to lose one more to justify Oregon being ahead of them. On the other hand, it's Cal. Fuck 'em. Down to six and soon five as Louisville is about to put away Cincinnati. Arizona State still has to survive the night as well but their game just started.
  13. CAL LOSES! FUCK YEAH!
  14. Dammit, Cal pulls a 65 yard touchdown pass out of thier ass to keep them alive. 2:31 left. Beavers recover the onside.
  15. Oregon State retakes the lead 28-21, 8:30 left. Oklahoma has put Missouri away. Down to seven BCS conference undefeateds. EDIT: CAL FUMBLES THE KICK OFF!!!! Beavers have the ball at the Cal 40.
  16. Cal or Ohio State is going to be #1 tommorrow. Ewwwww. Brightside for LSU was this was against a quality opponent, on the road, in a game that could have gone either way. They'll probably still be in the Top 5 tommorrow.
  17. You can forget about USC getting themselves back into the BCS title picture. If they were going to do that they would have bounced back this week against a terrible Arizona team and be up 35-0 at halftime, instead it is tied 10-10. At best this is an eight win team on it's way to the Las Vegas Bowl right now.

I wish he would retire. This "Will Torre be fired?" talk that overshadows every postseason now is getting almost annoying as the "Will Clemens return?" talk during every regular season.
  21. I fully support people gambling on message board pick 'em contests. HarleyQuinn's picks will be used for Ohio State tommorrow if Gert T doesn't submit picks.

  23. Another sign that times are a changing is FSU/Miami for years has been a nationally televised game on ABC but right now it'll probably either be a regional mid-day game on ABC or the ESPN2 game opposite the primetime ABC and ESPN games next week. At this rate next year it'll be relegated to southern football t.v. purgatory, aka Lincoln Financial Sports.
