Does bob_barron work for WWE or something? -

Resnick didn't last long in the WWF. It didn't really sound like he did much either, since Mean Gene was still ruling the interviews. According to some biographies, Resnick had already left the WWF by 1987 and went to the women's wrestling group, LPWA.

Jesse did a great job though explaining the match in a very concerned tone and actually trying to sell the glove as this death touch thing. Although I bet he was wanting to laugh on the inside while Jim Ross and everyone backstage wanted to cry. I always wondered if the stories of it not being rigged were somehow not true, knowing the WWF was doing a Nightstick Match at Survivor Series a few weeks later and they wanted to say "Hah! We did a pole match first!"

WWE To Now Exclusively Call Their Talent "Entertainers"

Anyways, I officially checked out of WWE fandom when they had Hornswoggle spray paint a tunnel on a locker room wall and had everyone act like he really ran though it. Bonus stupid points for Carlito actually trying to chase him through it and the tunnel magically not working for him. I knew when I saw that, I was done. I just periodically watch now for curiosity to how bad it can get. WWE 24/7 only magnifies the frustration for what I see now. -

Boy, that sure looks familiar to the original post. -
You know what would be perfect? Randy Orton gets voted in over Stone Cold and HBK, defying all logic. The announcers say this is the first time Shawn has lost a fan vote at Cyber Sunday. Whatever the result, Orton, Priceless, and Manu beat down Batista to end the show. Then they reveal the next night on Raw that although it cost thousands of dollars in texts, DiBiase was easily able to buy enough votes for Randy so that they could wreak havoc. I like it, it'd shit on the fans and probably kill the Cyber Sunday concept, but still I like it. Dibiase buying #30 in the Royal Rumble in 1990 didn't kill the Rumble concept.

Marty Jannetty pulled the HBK blog off his MySpace a few hours after he posted it. WWE.Com has done a "Where Are They Now?" feature on Barry Horowitz.

Boy, they really don't want people pissing off the drug testers do they?
-
But that's what they actually do.
-
Absolutely. Back in the 80s, Cage Matches were the gimmick match. It was the match that settled all feuds that couldn't be settled in regular matches. It was then what Hell in a Cell is today.
-
Marty Jannetty just posted a very weird, spontaneous blog about Shawn Michaels on his MySpace. I've cleaned it up to make it more readable (he's only a few levels above Ashley Massaro in the typing level department).

Yes, Sting's magic would have sort of disappeared after the title win. But what SHOULD have happened after Starrcade was to shift the focus off Sting and focus on the complete crumbling of the nWo. But what did WCW do? They kept the nWo going and made them feud with themselves, which took some of WCW's top faces (Sting and Lex Luger) and put them in nWo shirts. Who really wanted to see Sting wearing an nWo shirt considering what all he went through with them for a year and a half? One of the big criticisms about the nWo angle, which Flair event mentioned on WWE 24/7 a few weeks ago, was that the nWo just fizzled out after feuding with each other and the big Georgia Dome schmozz. WCW never got the big, decisive, once-and-for-all victory over the nWo to cause it to collapse. Sting still had a little bit of an allure to him because he still didn't say anything until a few weeks after Starrcade. What I would have done is build up Sting's first comments and after he did that, slowly transition him back to the old Sting now that he got his revenge. Also, just have the nWo completely fall apart and start fighting with each other. Instead of making the nWo damn bigger, just take the guys you wanted to become faces out of the group (Nash, Savage, and Konnan) and have them just join the WCW side.

What a clusterfuck.

No, that was Atlanta. Raw was from Corpus Christi the day they found out Benoit went nuts.
-
They should never go to Corpus Christi ever again. That was the town they were in when Benoit went on his rampage.
-
What a shitty crowd this week.
-
Michael Cole said "Tampa Bay Devil Rays". He owes Joe Maddon $1 now.
-
Hah. They misspelled John Salley's name. "John Sally".
-
And don't forget, at the start of that angle, Sting was attacking WCW people too. I remember him specifically Death Dropping Jeff Jarrett, Rick Steiner, and Jim Duggan. But I have to agree with Truthiness. This angle was not rocket science. If you couldn't understand why Sting was doing what he was doing in the storyline, I wouldn't be admitting it to people.
-
They sure are saying "WWF" a lot.
-
Whatever! I was in the crowd for that Madusa/Paul E. match. Madusa had so much face heat everytime she hit Paul, you'd think Sting was out there.
-
Ross' ass is covered because he never said exactly what Cade did.

It could be anything, but within the realm of a "major league mistake that cost him his job". That narrows it down significantly.
