Flair vs. Michaels as the main event would have made that 99.9% that Michaels would win into 100%.

The red ropes are weird. Last year they did white ropes for Mania.

PWI is reporting that Kevin Nash and Test are backstage visiting at the show. The Rock is 100% not there and will not be there, so don't expect him. He flew back to a movie shoot in California immediately after doing the Hall of Fame. Steve Austin is there.

Because no one actually buys it due to Edge not winning last year at WM.

Wade Keller is reporting that WWE officials in charge of working out the Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather match are not optimistic about how the match is going to work out. Although the No-DQ booking is designed to cover Mayweather's inexperience in a worked setting, the word coming in is that Mayweather's learning at a much slower pace about how to take part in a worked atmosphere than was expected. To give an idea of how everyone is fearing the results, Triple H has been assigned the task of attempting to save the match from being a disaster by working closely with Show & Mayweather on the planning of the match.

Dave Scherer is reporting that Team 3D, AJ Styles, Frankie Kazarian, and Earl Hebner were all over the WWE Fan Axxess events telling people to come watch the TNA Impact tapings.

And you wonder why prominent people like ESPN's Colin Cowherd refer to wrestling fans as "booger eaters". But it's WWE's own fault. They train their audience to chant "slut" at women heels and just to be rowdy in general. You can't expect certain wrestling fans to just flip their switch off. The only way to stop it is to have an announcement beforehand asking the fans to please be respectful or you'll be ejected. I learned to never, ever expect anything from common wrestling fans when I went to a Georgia Dome Nitro in July 1999 and heard a ton of people (including little kids) make fun of Owen Hart dying while Bret Hart was giving his first interview since Owen died.

Former WWF personality, Sean Mooney, did an interview with the Club WWI radio show. Here is a highlight,

The more I read about it, the more I think HHH's comment was just playful since Rock made a funny joke about HHH earlier in the show. Rock said "Triple H is so obsessed with being the WWE Champion that everytime he thinks about it, Stephanie McMahon gets pregnant." Flair's barb seemed like he was taking up for Cena against Rock's comment about the Marine earlier in the show. I'm sure Flair knows what Cena said about Rock back in that Sun article and was ready to defend Cena if Rock said anything. Sure Rock then made fun of himself by mentioning "Doom" but hey, whatever.
-
Why isn't this being discussed in, oh I don't know, the thread the comment was made in? Why make another thread for this?
-
Wow, that's a great way to assure the Rock won't ever do anything with WWE again. He shows up for the Hall of Fame to make a 90 minute speech right in the middle of filming a movie, and Triple H and Ric Flair go out and make jabs at him. Really classy.
-
Because there are guys like Paul Orndorff who, immediately after getting inducted, call the Hall of Fame a total joke and say they only did it for a payday.

Meltzer is reporting that TNA is planning to fly a banner over WM24 that will advertise Impact on Spike.

From Torch ========================= DARK MATCH Ron Killings vs. Kenny Dykstra Unlike his match against Paul London last night, Killings was working as a face and got a great response. A lot of people responded to his WHAT'S UP yells. He pinned Dykstra after an axe kick. SMACKDOWN Mini Battle Royal -- Kane vs. Chuck Palumbo vs. Mark Henry vs. The Great Khali ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero came out to do guest commentary. Khali eliminates both Kane and Palumbo. Henry and Khali trade strikes. Henry picks up Khali for a bodyslam and throws him out to win. Henry got a huge face pop for dumping Khali. After the match Chavo sneaks in and attacks Henry. He works on him until Henry recovers. Henry gives Chavo the world's strongest slam and then hits him with a big splash. Backstage, Teddy Long is with Eve Torres, Cherry, and Michelle McCool. He announces Eve has been eliminated from the Diva competition. Victoria and Maryse show up to yell. Long announces the only solution is to have a "Divas Super Soaker/Water Balloon Tag Team Match." Promos are shown revealing that Edge will hold a funeral ceremony tonight for The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak. CM Punk vs. John Morrison Punk gave Morrison a top-rope frankensteiner during the match. Punk gets the win after reversing Morrison's neckbreaker into a Go 2 Sleep. Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, & The Miz vs. Jesse, Festus, & Kofi Kingston The faces get the win when Kingston nails Miz with a kick while the tag teams are brawling outside. Batista vs. Snitsky Batista totally squashed Snitsky. Spear, spinebuster, Batista-bomb. Match didn't even last 45 seconds. After the match, Batista grabs a chair and hits a Batista-bomb on it. Divas Super Soaker/Water Balloon Match -- Victoria & Maryse vs. Michelle McCool & Cherry. Eve is named the special guest referee. Victoria came out wearing goggles, a snorkel, and children's arm floats. The water balloons ended up getting thrown at Michael Cole, Coach, and even some fans in the front row got hit. McCool & Cherry win after McCool hits Victoria with a modified suplex. Eve poured a bucket of water on Maryse after the match. Chris Jericho vs. MVP Neither title was on the line. MVP came out to distract the fans from the ring crew replacing the ring mat. Probably won't air. Jericho reversed a Playmaker attempt into the Walls of Jericho. MVP escapes the ring and grabs the US Title. He is DQed for trying to hit Jericho with it, but he misses. Jericho gives MVP a Codebreaker. Funeral ceremony time. The ring is done up with black wreathes and roses. There is a portrait of Undertaker on an an easel with a casket in the ring. Edge, Hawkins, and Ryder are all wearing black suits. Edge gives a "eulogy" of Undertaker's career. He goes over a list of everyone that Taker has beaten at WrestleMania. GM Vickie Guerrero comes out and says she has a surprise for Edge. It's a video done in a movie trailer style of superhero Edge beating Taker. When the video ends, Edge says a final prayer. During the prayer, the lights go out and Taker's gong plays. Taker emerges from the casket and attacks Edge while Ryder and Hawkins bail. Edge escapes and the show ends with Taker posing in the ring. DARK MATCH Ric Flair, Batista, & The Undertaker vs. Edge, Big Show, & MVP The faces win when Taker tombstones Edge while Flair gets MVP to tap out to the figure four. After the match, Batista grabs a microphone and thanks Flair for being a friend and being an integral part of both his professional and personal life. Flair takes the mic. Flair thanks the fans of Fayetteville for supporting him throughout his career. He says that if Sunday really is the end of the line for him, he is thankful that he was able to perform in Fayetteville one last time. He was getting choked up badly during this. Taker didn't take the mic, but he hugged Flair and raised his arm to the crowd. All three walked out together. Pretty pathetic they couldn't put Flair's last Fayetteville match on TV with all the brand extension disparity going on. Oh well, we need our Divas water matches right?

The forecast for WM24 just took a turn for the worst. They still call for a 30% chance of rain with isolated thunderstorms during the day, but now instead of a mostly clear night, they are now calling for a 30% chance of showers all night.
-
Yeah, it was from late 2003/early 2004.

Those pictures of Randy Savage are from December 2005. It was some children's event he did in Florida where he read some Christmas stories to a bunch of kids and then signed autographs afterwards.

Former WCW wrestler Chase Tatum died on Sunday afternoon after an apparent accidental overdose, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Chase was recovering from back surgery 10 days earlier to repair a degenerative disc. His body was found by a friend at his Buckhead, Ga. home around 4:00 p.m. The report indicates he was unresponsive and could not be revived. Chase's father, Roy, said he had a painkiller addiction for several years following his short career in WCW. "He was in the process of getting his life back together," Roy said. "He was confident he was going to turn things around, to live a normal life again without those painkillers." Chase retired from the ring after a brief 2 1/2 year career when severe back problems limited his movement. Without health insurance, he was unable to pay for surgery, which his father claims led to his dependency on pain killers. He was recently in the comedy movie, "Who's your Caddy?" and just landed a role in a movie to be filmed in New York. =========== FYI, Tatum debuted for WCW in 1999 as a member of Master P's "No Limit Soldiers". Once that fizzled, they tried using him as a singles heel, but he didn't pan out. I think he was gone when WCW started budget cuts in fall 1999.

Ron Killings worked a dark match last night at Raw, defeating Paul London. It was his first match in WWE since getting released in 2001. Killings worked under his real name and as a heel.
-
I don't think that there are enough TNA fans out there to get a noticeable vocal reaction. Considering there was a very audible "TNA" chant during the Rosie vs. Trump mock match on Raw from wherever it was from...I think there's enough to be audible in their hometown in a theater. I mean...product aside...they do get over a million viewers. That Raw was in St. Louis, MO. TNA responded by doing a PPV in St. Louis later in the year.

The Weather Channel's forecast for WM24 has improved. Earlier they called for a 60% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms during the day. That has now downgraded to a 30% chance of rain with isolated thunderstorms during the day. They now call for a mostly clear night, but still with a 10% chance of rain.
