JBL and Cole said No Mercy.

Cena won't stop pounding Orton in the corner and pushes the referee away twice so Cena gets DQed. Orton pulls Cena's Dad over the rail and was going to punt him aagin. Cena intercepted Orton and put him in the STFU. Cena's Dad then punted Orton while he was in the STFU. Coach announces Cena vs. Orton for No Mercy in a Last Man Standing match.

Jim Ross said this in his most recent blog on his website: People need to realize that The Rock will never wrestle a match in WWE again. He is a movie star now and has moved on. I don't know how to make it any clearer than that.

That's a list that I made a long time ago in a thread that was talking up JBL's title reign. Since Diesel's was the longest one in modern memory, his was the cut off of the ones I tracked.

I'm sure Sherri Martel could have used that. She overdosed on pain killers that she was taking because she had crippling back pain from all her years of bumping. She needed hardcore back surgery which she couldn't afford and WWE wouldn't help her with.

He didn't need the rub from the angle though. He was doing just fine for himself over the years just based on his talent, mic skills, potraying such a charismatic heel. If anything, the fact that his big mouth got him into trouble, to me is a blessing because frankly the McMahon offspring storyline sucks. Unless he was taking chewable steroids, how exactly did his mouth get him in trouble? Because he went around the talk show circuits and talked about how the Wellness Policy "saved him" from taking steroids in February 2006 and all this crap. Then it comes out he was recieving steroids up until February 2007 and now looks like a total scumbag shithead with zero credibility now.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

I'm willing to bet you didn't make a living off taking chairshots and diving headbutts for 20 years. -
I think the Stephanie segment was guaranteed for the Unforgiven 2002 PPV, which included Rikishi in drag too. Yeah. The deal was that if Totally-Not-Gay-Now Billy & Chuck lost to 3 Minute Warning, Stephanie had to perform HLA. Billy & Chuck lost, of course. Bischoff came out with two models, one of which was Kitana Baker. Steph came out, the models take their shirts off and start feeling up Stephanie. Then Bischoff told the models to go away because he had something better for Steph. Then this huge thing comes talking out in a business suit which turns out to be Rikishi. But before the big reveal, Steph just totally jumps Rikishi and makes out with him. Then he pops up and beats the fuck out of Bischoff. Meanwhile, the crowd awkwardly watches Rikishi and Steph (whose face is covered in lipstick) dance in the ring. Pretty lame. I always thought involving Steph in the HLA angle was hilarious. Right after Road Dogg was fired from WWE in 2001, I worked an indy show with him. He told everybody about how Stephanie was bisexual and how she would get it on with other girls for HHH.

And for the record, Luger only needs the cane until he gets his hip replacement surgery. Here is Luger's kid. He plays basketball for our college. He hates professional wrestling with a passion and gets very agitated when people ask about or mention him being Lex Luger's kid. If you look at his bio, you can even see that he only lets his mother be listed. He's not very proud of his Dad. -
Does this belong in General? Or is it relevant because she's in the WWE Hall of Fame?
-
That was a pretty dumb decision. It was even dumber considering that the next week's Raw was in Atlanta, GA, the home of WCW.
-
What's even weirder is that on WWE.Com's post-show reactions, they have comments from Sandman listed.
-
You honestly can't rip WWE for this one. If you want blame something, blame Kennedy for fucking the whole angle up.
-
What an incredibly random firing. It sure seemed like to me that Sandman and Marella had a feud boiling, not to mention the fact that he was very over with the crowd. He must have done something backstage.
-
I thought it was Russo who always wanted the incest angle.

Ric Flair says he has not quit WWE.

Cade & Murdoch won the tag titles back from London & Kendrick. And WWE.Com has already pulled the chairshot retrospective down off the front page. The direct link posted earlier still works, but the headline link on the front page is gone.
-
Not really sure if this was in WWE's best interest given all the news that just came out about Benoit's brain, but HHH's beating on Umaga has inspired WWE.Com to post a photo retrospective of the most memorable chairshots in WWE history. http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/articles/5046...chairclassics07

I like the fact that since Booker is an Internet darling, no one gives a fuck that he's violated the company's drug policy twice but instead is cheering him on because that dastardly HHH "buried" him at Summerslam.
-
Yeah, it worked out so well in WCW. Actually, WCW's problem was that they featured the old guys facing other old guys.

No. This thread should be left open forever. -
When he's motivated, he knows how to get into shape. Look back at his run in WCW in 1999. He's fucking ripped.

Lesnar was originally booked to successfully defend his WWE Title against Undertaker at Unforgiven 2002, but Taker was quoted by backstage sources as saying "I'm just not feeling it" when presented with the finish. It lead to the non-finish and the Hell in a Cell rematch at the next month's No Mercy where Brock won and Taker had one of the nastiest color jobs ever. They actually did have a PPV match. It was at the February '96 In Your House PPV. Owen was ducking Shawn until Shawn offered to put up his WWF Title shot at WM12, so Owen finally agreed to have a match at that PPV which Shawn won and that was the blowoff.
-
I didn't overlook it and shame on anyone that did. Flair vs. UT on WM18 was a really, REALLY good match. I marked like a bitch when Arn Anderson ran in and hit the spinebuster on UT all within a split second.
