It was. They made a complete trilogy for the PC. I had the first one for the C64, and I had fun beating it three times with the same party. Shadowrun for the Genesis rules. Nuff Said. Gain Ground for the Genesis had my attention for a few weeks.

That is un-fucking-believable. I just cannot come up with any words to comment on this fine bit of idiocy. As far as all the Knick talk goes, they are not going to be good for at least three to five years, and no well-reasoned piece of logic anyone here comes up with is going to alter Cena's Writer's fandom. Its almost like me and Vitamin X last year arguing about Kobe.

Guitar Hero got me into Burning Brides. Fun with four chords, no waiting. Like AC/DC, but much tighter.

He hasn't done anything good in a long time. He's touring on his past, like the majority of bands from the 80s nowadays.

If there is one major gripe I have about the Pistons, its that they can get shredded by an athletic two guard at times. I'm concerned about this, because this is a HUGE win for the Heat, and will do wonders for their confidence. Metr0 was right, in that if the Pistons beat them, it could have been the knockout blow for their season. Now if they develop some momentum with this win, the Heat can be a serious threat again. They had to have the win and they got it, but that was the wrong time for Shaq to wake up and the Heat to become the "pick your poison" team they were touted to be at the start of the season. While nowhere close to the lockdown level they were at last year, the Pistons are still a great team defensively, but they have not gotten it together over the last six or seven games. This is cause for concern.

If the previous GM was still in Orlando, that deal would have been done yesterday. God was he an idiot... A backcourt of Marbury and Francis would officially be the nail the Knicks' coffin. Neither one is going to defer to the other on the court, and the other three guys with them might as well be window dressing. They are both undersized shooting guards and have attitude problems, and that's just the way it is. Though I might be intrigued to see if Jamal Crawford could actually help the Magic, and I have never been sold on Q, I think the Magic should just wait until the offseason to try and deal Francis. They have quite a few holes to plug in in order to build around Dwight Howard, but those holes have been there for quite some time. They do need to model themselves around the Pistons. They even have an advantage, because Dwight is a rising star in the league.

Agreed. Tayshaun does a lot of things that don't show up in the stat sheet, even more so than Ben Wallace, who does get 12-20 rebounds a night, 2-6 block and 2-4 steals. If he was a better scorer, he would be drawing all kinds of comparisons to Pippen. I saw the game last night and he had a good game offensively. Overrated? No. But that being said, there was no way he was going to get on the All-star squad this year. If he continues his development, he'll go at least three times before his career is over.

The only band I have ever heard that could do wacky time changes in a song and really make them work was Dream Theater. But I am a Petrucci fan, so whatever. It might just be a sign of my advancing years, but after sitting and listening at Ozzfest this year, I am just longing for the metal days of my younger years, even though its the same thing now as it is then; One or two bands develop a successful formula, and then here comes the 20,000,000 copycat bands. Excellent analysis, Corey. Good stuff.

I must be the only person in the Detroit area who cannot stand the White Stripes. Considering they have appeal across the board, Three Doors Down has had quite a bit of staying power since Loser bowled me over back when I was still in Florida. Nickelback has a shot, and a decent one. They just have to stay consistent.

Like Slayer.

I'm still trying to figure out how Jordan thought he could be as good an executive as he was player. And half the reason all of these tall stiffs get drafted so high for that reason. They're tall, and take up space. As the old adage goes, you can't teach height. I'm still holding out a small modicum of hope for Darko, but I don't think he is going to amount to anything in the league, or the Pistons at any rate.

I personally think that Michael Jordan FUBAR'ed Kwame's confidence big time. He was showing some things even though he was VERY green and raw, then Jordan getting in his face all of the time took that away. He might still develop into a decent player, but nowhere near what it could have been.

Screw the characters, Streetwise needs to be GOOD.

There was no way that Joe D was going to let that huge-ass contract sink his plans for the Pistons. I thought they were going to go out and get maybe another two guard, but I can understand their reasons for standing pat. I can just imagine the uproar if Flip did that, even for five minutes in the game... I can just see it, and the shit-eating grin on my face while it happens.

I saw that fight, and its not like Chuck did it intentionally. If Randy got pissed and tried to trade with Chuck because of that, he deserved to get KTFO'ed. Hopefully the rubber match will be good and there is a clear-cut winner, and there is no reason to cry and whine on either side.

Ah yes, the beginning of the Kobe Rules era... I knew sometime in the third quarter the Pistons were going to lose that game, and with the way they were jacking up threes, they certainly did not deserve to win it, even though they came close. That has been my one pet peeve with the Pistons; they can fall in love with the outside shot and they can get run out of the gym if it isnt falling. Cleveland destroyed them because of it, even though they could get any shot they wanted in the second half of that game by going inside-out rather than outside-in. Rasheed can score on pretty much anyone if he at the very least took a balance of shots, rather than doing a pick and pop with Chauncey most of the time. He was going pretty much shot for shot with Tim Duncan in the last meeting between the two teams. Its games like that last night that get me aggravated. If the shots are falling they can't be beat, but if they aren't, pretty much anyone can beat them.

Speaking of Diego, what has he been doing lately?

I think we have seen the biggest trade already.. The game last night was good, though watching Kobe drag the Lakers back into the game almost all by himself was interesting... but too little too late. I read an interview with Dwight Howard last night, and that kid is humble as all get out. I just hope he stays that way and continues to improve.

It has nothing to do with not wanting to discuss it, I'm just saying that taking potshots at his opinions doesn;t do you very much good. You stated your own opinion, that was fine, until you did the same thing a few posts later. Its not like you're going to change anyone's mind by repeating it.

This is good for me, because Alpha 3 was the last fighter I had a serious interest in, and even then it only lasted as long as I could complete Chun-Li's storyline. I had an obsession with beating the hell out of Juli and Juni.

And there they go again.... Andrew and Leena, that is. I just traded in a bunch of games that I no longer play for $60 of store cred at EB Games.. Hopefully I can get RPG Maker 3, though if something else comes out that catches my interest, I'll go that way... ::opens a new tab and searches for new game releases::

I'm just glad the comparative nonsense between the Pistons 35-5 and the '84 Tigers 35-5 records is over. That was about as silly as silly gets. the Clips at Orlando sounds intriguing, as does Phoenix at Boston.

If there is one thing Celts fans need to do, its let Larry Bird go. Paul Pierce was not going to be their savior because he is way too selfish. I knew he wasn;t going to amount to all that much after he started glossing himself "The Truth". He can score like nobody's business, but as Chuckles said once, "any knucklehead can score". I like Delonte West, though, the kid can play. Getting Wally for Ricky Davis was basically a wash. Wally is a decent shooter but nothing spectacular. He should have been traded from the T-Wolves two or three years ago, when it was evident that he and KG were simply never going to get along. This is going to be a hell of a night in the NBA. Celtics vs. Kings I have to watch aside from the Pistons and Grizzlies. Lets see if Artest is game ready.

That's the truth. Jordan scored 69 and no one complained, David Robinson scored 71 and I *believe* no one complained, so that just proves your point. I remember a lot of people thought The Admiral's 71 was bullshit since he knew exactly how many points he needed to steal the scoring title from Shaq that year and the Spurs were going to allow him every opportunity to get it. And it was. People in Orlando were mightily pissed that the Spurs pulled that crap. Kobe right now is like MJ when he was in his first five years in the league. Until he learns how to make the players around him better, the Lakers are going nowhere. That being said, until the Lakers get some better players, through either the draft or free agency, this is what is going to keep happening. Do I think he's a selfish player? Absolutely. But I do see that he is in a situation where he has to be even more selfish than he already is out of necessity. And I see the Lamar/Peja argument. Odom is about as inconsistent as it comes, and it doesn't help that he is playing alongside Kobe right now. If he applied himself all the time, he could be mentioned in the same argument as Scottie Pippen, a player that could do it almost everything. My main problem with Peja is that he never played any defense. Having a pure three-point stroke doesn;t do much if the opposing team can go right back down the court and score on you. Artest for Peja is a big gamble for the Kings moreso than the Pacers. Peja always needed a decent big man to maximize his effectiveness, and Jermaine O'Neal fits the bill. Artest in Sacto is just funny to me, and I think that most of us know that this is not going to end well for the Kings. He can score, rebound and defend, and I don;t think I even need to go into his downside. I would be shocked if things actually worked out. And on a note about my Team B, its good to see Orlando string together a few wins. I really believe that Dwight Howard is the future of that franchise... and speaking of franchises, Stevie needs to be traded. EDIT: by the way, considering there was no 3 second lane violation rule back in Wilt's era, he could camp out in the lane and take his sweet time getting in position to score. Kobe's feat in the modern day is more impressive to me.

I get that you didn;t like the match, you've made your point. None of us were all that smarkish back in those days. We all knew wrestling was fake, but we simply didn;t care. If was fun to watch, unlike 95% of what is being put out there today, but that's another rant for another day. Painting everything with the broad smarkish brush doesn't support your argument very well. You disliked the match, fine. As the man said in his disclaimer, its his opinion, nothing else. I remember watching a tape about two or three days after the PPV and I was hyped as all hell for that match. Considering how limited both Hogan and Warrior were even back then, that was a mat classic for those two. They weren;t going to go hold for hold until the end, they were going to brawl and use power moves the entire time. That's who and what they were, plain and simple.
