  1. I have a crazy scheme to turn Jericho into a main-eventer that involves the Undertaker putting him over. See? I told you it was a crazy scheme.
  2. I can't remember the last time HHH and Jericho weren't on the same show. After the inital draft, they were both on Smackdown, then both jumped to Raw within a few weeks of each other. Then again, with Carlito on Raw, does Monday need 2 talk shows?
  3. Her character just isn't need for a sequel.
  4. The original article never said anything about him being the principle character.
  5. This is how rumors get started.
  6. Oh, but people ARE saying it bombed, due to the ridicules expectations that the hack entertainment reports of the world have subjected us to.
  7. You're not alone, and I think it's better overall than Begins, but since Timm/Dini and crew borrowed a lot from Year One, they don't deserve *full* credit. They'd probably be comfortable with doing commentary since they've already done commentary tracks on the box sets. I'd be up for it, even double-dipping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think its actually "Batman: Year Two" that they borrowed from. The Phantasm is pretty damn similar to the Reaper. I'm going out on a limb and saying "Returns" is my favorite live action Batman film (Begins excluded). Yeah, the Penguin sucked, but Walken and Pfieffer really make up for it. I preferred those two to Nicholson's super-hammed attention-whore performance any day. Anyone who says anything nice about "Batman and Robin" really needs to put the crackpipe down.
  8. There have been more than 38 movies released. Sure, 35 movies beat it, but think of the thousands of movies that weren't even on the list. $73 million is NOT a small amount of money for movie to make in 5 days.
  9. That chart cuts off at number 38, creating the illusion that it only did better than 3 other movies. I guess I see your point now, but this is still stupid. How the fuck did Hollywood get to the point where it considered a movie that makes half its budget back in less than one week be considered a disappointment? Hollywood movie executives sound like the kind of pricks that yell at their kids for getting an A instead of an A+. $73 million is a shitload of money, and more money than most films make their entire run. When you add another 5 weeks of box office, plus DVD sales, TV rights, and merchandising, there's really no reason to complain.
  10. Does the other $25 million "Batman Begins" made so far somehow not count? Is the other $25 million not as good because it was earned on a Wednesday and Thursday, instead of a Friday? Maybe if they'd released the movie on a Friday, they'd have done better weekend business, since people wouldn't have rushed out and saw it Wednesday. Botton line: $73 million is $73 million.
  11. IMDB reported the estimated budget is $135 million, so its already made half its money back in 5 days. Again... credit: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/...e.ap/index.html I'd really love to see some examples of what these "OTHER" movies you keep referring to are (besides, of course, Revenge of the Sith).
  12. "Not on par with some other stuff"? Huh? That's more money that 90% of the movies released make in their entire theatrical run. Ahem... credit: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/...e.ap/index.html
  13. NEWSFLASH: "Batman Begins" made $73 million in just 5 days. Anyone who tries to say its doing poor business needs to learn how to count.
  14. At least the WWE title is up in the air. Cena scored a pinfall, but the 2 challengers beat him down after the match. If Jericho wins the WWE title, I will petition to have my name changed back to Y2Jerk.
  15. Oh I knew it would be a shitty ending, but I didn't think it would happen that quick. I was wanting to see how Batista could work with a guy like Angle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They'll probably have a PPV with that match before the end of the summer.
  16. I hope you weren't surprised, though.
  17. With THAT roster, it looks more like OVW.
  18. I liked the blonde chick with the big hooters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congrats on being in the target demographic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't know if you're serioius, but that was a joke. The last thing WWE needs is another random big-chested blonde. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was playing along.
  19. I liked the blonde chick with the big hooters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congrats on being in the target demographic.
  20. It seems as though (once again) the main qualifying attribute these women need to possess is the ability to hit on Coach as seem convincing.
  21. Even if it didn't, there were LOTS of WWE title matches on Raw in 2002. Jim Ross has replaced "Cheers" character Cliff Claven to become master of the factually incorrect trivia.
  22. *comes back in 2 weeks, wheelchair-bound, managing Alexis Lauree and a rehired Molly to kick Victoria's ass* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They could call the angle "Birds of Ghey".
  23. That's a good point. Hemme's really gone beyond expectations. The only other Diva Search person who come close to her level of trying to really learn the business (as opposed to just collecting a check) is Michelle McCool.
  24. Yeah, like we won't get enough shots of bad boob jobs during the diva search <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Personally, I think Lita's plastic surgeon did a helluva job. They don't look nearly as fake as Trish's.
  25. Excusable. You have to kind of expect them to not to take any chances by slamming the old guy's head too closely to the mat.
