Well, nobody started it yet... Here's Keller's PBP so far from PWTorch.com: TNA PPV REPORT JULY 7, 2004 LIVE FROM NASHVILLE, TENN. -Larry Zbyszko delivered this week's anti-PPV-pirating message this week. How many people feel like suckers every time they pay for it and then hear a message created to guilt those who don't pay for it into paying for it in the future. 1 -- CHRIS SABIN & KAZARIAN (w/Tracy) vs. D-RAY 300 & SHARK BOY Tenay talked about Sabin and Kazarian as a new team with a common bond of having a rivalry with A.J. Styles. Shark Boy bit Tracy's BUTT during the match. Shark Boy wrestled most of the match, and hot-tagged in D-Ray at 5:45. When Tracy distracted D-Ray, he fell to a Sabin superkick. WINNERS: Sabin & Kazarian when Sabin pinned Kazarian after a superkick at 6:15. STAR RATING: * -Afterward, David Young went to the ring to yell at referee Mike Posey. Posey lost it and it took off his shirt and went after Young. He pulled Young's shirt over his head as in a hockey fight and pounded away with relatively harmless looking forearms. He looked really physically fit, but his blows didn't seem to have much force. Young ended up giving him a spinebuster when Glenn Gilberti and Johnny Swinger ran out to help. -A promo aired with Ken Shamrock saying he is back on top of his world, the Octagon, and now he's going to take over his world inside the octagon. -Scott Hudson interviewed Monty Brown who gave a super-intense (scary-so) promo about wanting the winner of the Gauntlet NWA Title match. Jeff Jarrett interrupted and said he overheard Brown. He said he wanted to be referred to as "King of the Mountain Jeff Jarrett" by him. He then turned it into a promo for himself, saying he was going to send Shamrock back to the Octagon. Of course, in the end, his promo focused on Vince Russo, saying he'd never outsmart him. He said once again: "Russo, I've forgotten more about this business than you'll even ever know." Brown made funny facial expressions as Jarrett talked. Jarrett then turned to him and said he'll have to get through D-Lo before he gets to him, and he doesn't think he can. Nice promo at setting up a variety of issues. -A vignette aired to promote the Monty Brown vs. D-Lo match. 2 -- "ALPHA MALE" MONTY BROWN vs. D-LO BROWN They began with a slugfest and then quickly brawled at the announcers' table with Monty throwing D-Lo onto the table. By 2:30, after some action back inside the ring, D-Lo took control of Monty at ringside. Mostly just punches, though, which got old quickly. They punched their way up to the stage, then D-Lo dove onto Monty. They brawled back into the ring. D-Lo missed a Lo-Down flip splash at 7:00. Brown then gave D-Lo a Pounce out of nowhere sending D-Lo into a table set in the corner and scored the three count. Tenay called it Monty's highest profile win to date and he remains undefeated. WINNER: Monty Brown at 7:22. STAR RATING: 3/4* -- They have to show they can do more than stand and throw punches at each other while moving around the arena. Good intensity and half-way interesting, but half-way boring, too. -A brief promo aired with B.G. James about the main event. -Hudson interviewed Larry Zbyszko and Dusty Rhodes. Zbyszko said he smelled a World Title change later. Dusty said the bottom line was something special can happen tonight. He shifted to the Jeff Hardy contract situation, although he slipped up and called him Jeff Jarrett. He again said Hardy has "Rock Star Status." He held a folder in his hand and then said Hardy held it in his possession. I assume he meant a copy of it, because from what I could tell, Dusty was holding what was in his hand, not Jeff Hardy. He said the decision is now his to make. 3 -- TRINITY & BIG VITO vs. SONNY SIAKI & DESIRE Tenay said there still is no explanation on why Kid Kash was suspended, then shifted to talking about the contract offer to Hardy. West said the offer to Hardy may not be all about money because someone of his stature may be making other demands. Tenay said because of Hardy's interest in music, perhaps the folder delivered by Dusty to Hardy has some opportunities built in regarding that. Vito and Siaki fought at first. Trinity tagged in at 1:30, but when Desire tagged in, Trinity quickly tagged Vito back in. Vita took control on Siaki. Desire finally got to Trinity at 5:30 which got a nice pop. Siaki went to the top rope, but Vito shoved the ref into the top rope. He then gave a stunned Siaki his neckbreaker finisher for the win. After the match, when Vito went after Desire, "Irish" Pat Kenney made the save, quickly clearing the ring of Vito and Trinity. WINNER: Vito & Trinity at 6:30. STAR RATING: * -- Basic stuff. -A Konnan promo aired where he ran down his history of holding titles such as the Mexican Heavyweight Title, the WCW Tag Team Titles, and the WCW U.S. Hvt. Title. He vowed to finally win the World Hvt. Title. -A video package aired on the Goldy Locks/Abyss vs. Erik Watts feud. -Hudson interviewed Trinity who acted crazy and talked about having more money than she knew what to do with. She said she was going to buy a wrestler. -A video feature aired on the X Division. -Tenay interviewed Michael Shane and Kazarian in mid-ring. Shane was pretty funny as he talked about a petition being passed around backstage to have A.J. Styles kicked out of the X Division. He said "hundreds of boys have signed it." I was wondering why a bunch of 10 year olds should have a say-so over Styles's career. He really shouldn't refer to wrestlers on air by the carny term "boys." They referred to an abscure rule that says one a wrestler makes the "jump to the heavyweight division," they can't return to the X Division. They shouldn't call it a "jump," because it implies it's a "step up." How about "shifts" or "moves" or "changes" to the heavyweight division. When Tenay said there is no such rule, Shane told Tenay not to make funny faces. Finally, someone made fun of Tenay's crazy facial contortions. Jerry Lynn came out and said when he first got to TNA, he agreed with their current point of view, but now he has come to believe Styles has earned his position atop the X Division. When Shane said Lynn may have shaved his goatee to try to shave ten years off of his look, but it's not working. Lynn said he has defeated both of them within the last year. Shane and Kazarian ended up attacking Lynn. Styles ran out and made the save. Christopher Daniels and Primetime made the save. Tenay and West called Daniels and Primetime "Triple X," which begs for an explanation of who the third member is. They don't mention Low Ki much anymore. They showed Chris Sabin and Amazing Red looking on from the stage. They're doing a much better job establishing the personalities of the X Division wrestlers the last two weeks compared to usual. However, they still need to portray it as a main event division, not a mid-card division, to turn it into the full draw it has the potential to be. -A promo aired with The Truth regarding the NWA Title match later. -Hudson interviewed America's Most Wanted. Chris Harris complained about The Naturals attempting to take their pride. He said they're going to get revenge.

Give me tips for making a wrestling music video
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in Technology
Markingout - The suggestions on the pacing is very helpful.I have a bunch of Seans videos saved and plan on taking more looks at them, as they are indeed really good. Thanks also for the info about how to fade clips into the next one. I'll definitely use that once I stragihten this out. So, as far as the set audio levels dialog box - where exactly do I move the dial if I want to completely delete the sounds that are in the background of each individual clip and make the collective bunch in the storyboard/timeline. Since it's in the sotryboard/timeline, I can't figure out why it's not working, since the storyboard/timeline is where you actually edit the logistics of the video, where you determine the order of the clips, where you trim or expand clips, etc. So, is there a specific place I should move the dial to on the Set audio levels box? What I'm also thinking is this, and someone will proobably be able to answer this for me. Am I doing this all right, and just for some reason the song won't play in the background of the music video because I haven't uploaded it onto the net or something? Do I have to upload it or something before it will work? Maybe I'm wrong and the different songs in the background of each individual clip aren't supposed to change until you somehow somehow enable or - this is the word I want - activate, so to say, the song (which is in the row directly above the clips in the timeline/storyboard area)? That's the only thing I can think of if the set audio levels thing still doesn't work after I get another response (if). Is that a possibliity? Do I somehow have to right click in a certan spot or go into a certain part of the Edit, PLay, Clip, etc. menu to activate the song, so to say? Thanks in advance and also to all who've helped so far. -
For the record, Andrew Thomas is a nice guy outside of the ring. Now, we can go back to arguing.

Matches Announced for 7/23 and 7/31 IWA Events
LucharesuFan619 replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in General Wrestling
WOW, I suddenly want to order a tape IN ADVANCE. Those are two AWESOME cards. ::starts wondering about the possible off the charts spots that AJ/Delirious are going to do to beat their first IWA-MS match:: -
Hey, I'm as happy for London as everyone else. I think that's fucking great. Sure, their range of opponents won't be too impressive, but still - he deserves it. But don't forget about that six-man match. That looks pretty damn good, too. And the main event. I think I'm going to watch an entire SmackDown! show for the first time in months, and possibly tape it so as to savor the awesomeness of what SmackDown! POTENTIALLY can be, but very rarely seems to be.

Give me tips for making a wrestling music video
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in Technology
I'm pretty sure there's no button in the bottom left for Set Audio Levels, but I am able to get into that dialog box by going to Edit>Audio Levels. At that point, a box comes up that says Audio Levels, and then has one of those things where you drag an icon to one side of a straight line of the other. On the left side of the straight line it says Video Track and on the right it says Audio Track. When I first opened it, the icon was in the very middle between the two. I dragged it all the way in both directions and tried playing the entire video (anotherwards, clicking on Play Entire Storyboard/Timeline and the same thing happens - each clip plays in order that I have set up, just as they should, but each one has completely different music in the background. Does anyone have any idea if it has anything to do with this Set Audio Levels thing, or if something else is the problem. Should I make a few more screenshots so as to show what it looks like - would that help? Thanks for the suggestion, though, RavishingRickRudo. -

Come on...anyone have any idea what the problem is? I've got all the clips selected, but I can't do anything more unless I have the music set up, because otherwise I'm just randomly guessing how the music will go. I can't just count on it playing in the background because for some reason that won't work. I know I probably shouldn't be bumping this, but come on...anyone know what the deal is with this program and why what's happening is happening? Thanks very much in advance. -
Has anyone ordered from this company/guy and know if they/he are/is legit? I'm thinking of buying, but I'm hesitant to, especially considering he just signed up recently for the board.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. It took me awhile to find it, too. They seem to have taken the link out of the Multimedia section. You have to go to the second page of the archived News section to get the link. It's weird. http://tnawrestling.com/vod/vod.html

Ask The Professor (by Mike Tenay)
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'm no Tenay, but I know the guy is still wrestling. I think he took a year or something off, but I know for a fact he wrestled on an indy show about two months ago for the first time in a while that I can remember. -
I've always liked Noble a lot. I think he's immensely underrated and can really do it all...submissions, matwork, aerial, even some brawling. He's able to adjust to so many different styles. Some of his indy work right before he came to WWE, i.e. the Super 8 tournament of ECWA, is really great. He's one of the few guys in WWE now that I could see getting fired and really making an impact on the indy circuit, and climb up the rankings to the level of AJ Styles, Chris Daniels, CM Punk, etc. I'd really like to see him vs. Jimmy Rave, Trent Acid, Punk, or Josh Prohibition.

Give me tips for making a wrestling music video
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in Technology
I don't have the capabilities to capture my own footage, unfortunately. I don't even know how I'd go about doing that. Thanks for the tips, cue meanie. I have some more questions, which are much more specific. I started the MV a few days ago and so far have about 1:40 of video picked out that I'm definitely going to use in the video. That's not the problem. The problem is getting the song to work...not fit with the clips...but just plain play. I'm using the most recent version of Windows Media Maker. Right now, i'm trying to use Creed's "My Sacrifice" as the song. I went to Creed's site and DLed the WMA version of the song, and then went to File>Import, but the file didn't show up until I pressed All Files, and when I double clicked on it then, it said that it can't read the file. The only audio file that it can read, it seems, is WAV's, and I can't find any WAV versions of the song anywhere, whether it be on Kazaa or the Internet. So, what I did is this - I clicked the "Record" icon on the upper toolbar, right under the File, Edit, View, etc. menus. When the option box for the Record function came up, I pressed Record. It started beeping Record at that point, so I minimized the program and opened up the WMV Music video of My Sacrifice that I also downloaded, and started playing that. So, what I did was record the audio of that into the Record function of Windows Media Maker, if that makes sense. When I pressed stop recording, a Save dialog box came up, asking me to save the audio I had just made, which I did (the default format that it wanted me to save it in was WMA, so I did that). After pressing Save, this new audio that I had just finished making a few seconds ago automatically got added to My Collections area of my project. So, when I clicked on the icon for this particular audio clip and pressed Play, it worked fine - the entire My Sacrifice song that I had just recorded from the MV video version played (although not with a picture, obviously, since I was just recording the sound). I then right clicked on the icon for this audio clip and added it to the "Timeline" of my project, which is where you alter the order of the clips, where you can trip clips, and where you alter the speed of clips. So, at this point, my screen looks like this: http://www.geocities.com/xpw5yearslater/comp_image.doc I tried to make that into an image so that you wouldn't have to DL it, but I'm really bad at computers, as you can probably tell, so that's the best I could figure out how to do. So, that's what it looks like. When I click on the "my_sacrifice_creed" bar that you see at the bottom of the image, the song plays fine. However, when I click on one of the clips in the row right above and press play, it plays the clips, but each one with the sound that the original source material had as background music. So, one clip will have a rock song as background, and then it'll change into the next clip, which will have rap music, and then it'll change to the next clip, which hsa punk rock music, etc. etc. etc. How do I get all of the clips to play with "my sacrifice" as the background music? I can't figure it out. I've read through the help topics tons of times, but the only section that even covers background music is called "Working with audio," and all it says is that audio works the same as clips, and you have to add it to the Storyboard in order to make it work. But I did that, and it still won't work. -

This Wednesday (7/7/04), TNA returns to it's roots with a "Gauntlet For The Gold" featuring NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett's hired mercanaries The Elite Guard, 3 Live Kru and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock all battling for the NWA Title. In the gauntlet, order is determined by a pre-match draw. Two wrestlers begin the match and a new participant enters every 60 seconds. You are eliminated by being tossed over the top rope. Once we are down to the final two wrestlers, NWA Worlds Title match rules apply and the winner is determined via pinfall or submission. Also Wednesday, America's Most Wanted defends the NWA Worlds Tag Team Titles against The Naturals. Alpha Male Monty Brown and D-Lo meet in a return match where there must be a winner. 3 X Division Tag Teams meet in a Tornado Match. Plus, Kazarian and Michael Shane face cult favorites Shark Boy and D-Ray 3000. And, Big Vito joins Trinity in a mixed tag against Sonny Siaki & Desire. We'll see you Wednesday night ... exclusively on Pay Per View! We invite your questions and/or comments for Mike Tenay at [email protected]. Please include your hometown, state and country. Due to the volume of mail received, Mike cannot reply personally or answer every question. To read previous "Ask The Professor" columns, click on Interactive at the top of our home page. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MARTIN GEORGI (THE U.K.) Could you post A.J. Styles NWA Title history for a school project I'm working on? I'm A.J.'s biggest fan. ANSWER: "The Phenomenal One" is a three time X Division champion, two time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and two time NWA Worlds Tag Team Champion. For complete details, including dates of the matches and opponents, click on "Information" at the top of our home page. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JIM ASHLEY IMPACT is a good show and I make every effort I can to be sure and watch it. I love the product. Who are the guys in Jeff Jarrett's Elite Guard? ANSWER: Onyx, Chad Collyer and Hotstuff Hernandez form the Elite Guard of Jarrett. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ADRIAN (NEW YORK) What's one of your favorite finishing moves in TNA today? ANSWER: In the past few months, I think the hottest new finisher is Team Canada's Petey Williams version of the flip piledriver called "The Canadian Destroyer". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: WILLIAM P. DELLAPENTA (FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) I remember watching you call matches on the WCW broadcasts and along with over half the civilized world, you will always be "The Professor Of Professional Wrestling". We just got the capabilities to watch IMPACT! here and I want to know more about the X Division and the six sided ring. I've been a long time fan of your work. ANSWER: The X Division was conceived by TNA management in 2002. It's an evolution of the cruiserweight division that you watched in WCW beginning in the 1990s. It affords the higher-risk, high-flying wrestlers an opportunity to compete in high profile matches. From the first night I saw (and announced) the X matches, I coined the phrase that it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits and I think that aptly describes the mindset of the competitors. To get caught up to speed on the history of the X Division and TNA, in general, I would suggest ordering the DVDs that are available on this website by clicking on "Merchandise" at the top of our home page. The six sided ring debuted in June, 2004, with our first IMPACT! show and provides the perfect battleground for the X Division and other TNA wrestlers to showcase their abilities. It also has an eye-catching look that seperates us from the competition. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: KING AZTEK How did you become interested in Lucha Libre? ANSWER: Growing up in Southern California, I was first exposed to Lucha Libre via Spanish language TV broadcasts from Mexico City in the mid-1960s. The Los Angeles based promotion (at the Olympic Auditorium) relied heavily on the luchador talent pool of Mexico so I regularly watched Mil Mascaras, Ray Mendoza, Black Gordman & Goliath, among many others, in person and on TV. In the early 1990s, I began travelling to Mexico to watch live events and I was fortunate that WCW announcers (other than Chris Cruise) turned down the chance to be a part of the "When Worlds Collide" Pay Per View in 1994. That event introduced wrestlers like Konnan, Rey Misterio Jr., Eddy Guerrero and an announcer named Mike Tenay to the U.S. wrestling audience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JON NALLEY (LOUISVILLE, KY.) I'm really into NWA/TNA. Who do I have to get in contact with to join TNA as a wrestler? ANSWER: Click on "Information" at the top of our home page for all the details on the next "Gut Check At The TNA Academy" on July 19 and 20 in Nashville, Tennesee. Jerry Lynn will be among the trainers. You must be 18 years old. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JOHN CHAPMAN (HERTFORDSHIRE, U.K.) Please can you tell me if Lord Alfred Hayes is still alive and well? I use to really enjoy his segments on television. ANSWER: Lord Alfred Hayes lives in Dallas, Texas, these days and is confined to a wheelchair. I had the chance to meet him during my time with WCW and I've visited with him when he attended Cauiliflower Alley Club reunions in Las Vegas. A true gentleman of the business that everyone respects. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ELIZABETH APREA (HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA.) IMPACT! is outstanding! Are there plans to take it around the country? I hope so, cause my husband and I would love to attend. He does not like wrestling, but he will watch the NWA with me. You have made him a fan!!! Will there be a rematch between Jeff Hardy and "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles? ANSWER: It's great to receive e-mails like this. In fact, over 500 of you sent along your positive comments to me on IMPACT! in the past week! Our current plan is for IMPACT! to be based in Orlando, Florida, but TNA management is still exploring the possibilities of bringing our product to other cities around the world. We invite all of you to add IMPACT! to your list of must-see attractions when you visit the Sunshine State. If TNA is successful in signing Jeff Hardy, then I think it's inevitable that we'll see a Hardy-Styles rematch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: CHRIS CUNHA (NEW JERSEY) Where is Low-Ki? ANSWER: Low-Ki is currently wrestling for various independent promotions in the U.S. and for Zero One in Japan where he returns at the end of July. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: AL FRYE (NEW YORK, N.Y.) In this week's Star magazine there's a picture of supermodel Heidi Klum wearing a Destroyer t-shirt! Since I read in an interview that The Destroyer was your favorite wrestler, I have two questions about him. Since Dick Beyer is from Buffalo, New York, is the Arena Football League team The Buffalo Destroyers named in honor of him? Why did a wrestler of his stature assume a different identity (Doctor X) in the AWA? ANSWER: That sounds just like Heidi Klum ... jumping on The Destroyer bandwagon. The first televised match and first in-person bout I ever saw involved The Destroyer in 1962 and he gets the blame (or credit) for getting me hooked on the business. While Dick Beyer did some appearances (and I think commercials) for the AFL Destroyers, they weren't named after him. In fact the franchise has relocated to Columbus, Ohio. The Doctor X idea was the brainchild of AWA boss Verne Gagne. Dick preferred the Destroyer name (and actually used it in Chicago and Indianapolis), but Verne wanted him as the Doc in the midwest. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JIMMIE MEHEN Will TNA come out with action figures? ANSWER: Yes! TNA recently announced that it has granted Toy Biz, a division of Marvel Enterprises, the exclusive license to manufacture toys based on our wrestlers. As soon as more information is available, including release dates, we'll let you know. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: GARY J. MARCUM I love TNA!!! Where has Flash Funk been? ANSWER: Flash Funk aka Too Cold Scorpio has been primarily competing for the Japan based NOAH promotion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JEFF SHEPARD I'm a big fan of yours since your days in WCW. Where is Dusty Rhodes' son Dustin? ANSWER: Dustin Rhodes wrestled on a TNA PPV a few months back and is still appearing for indy groups. I see where he's billed on a show later this month for a promotion in Florida. CREDIT: TNAwrestling.com

Hey...sorry for bumping, but I was watching Living Dangerously '99 and in the first 30 seconds of the match, they breakup after the initial tieup and Sabu backs up and touches a cameraman with his foot so he turns around and says, "Get the fuck ooutta my way," absolutely clear as day. You can hear it perfectly. Good stuff. -
There's only one AJ Styles match...how's that too much? If anything, it's too little...

New England Pro Wrestling TV Aired at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2004 in selected Connecticut outlets Check out CTChampionshipWrestling.com for full info on how to catch NEPW TV if you live in the Connecticut area. Report by Jonathan on Saturday, July 3, 2004 - Opening NEPW TV highlight video, featuring Balls Mahoney, Raven, Sabu, The S.A.T., and various others. - All of these matches were taped on the June 23, 2004 Connecticut Championship Wrestling WrestleJam show at the Camm School in Northford, CT. - Jeff “The Hungryman” Harris and CCW promoter Joe LaChance are on commentary for this week’s episode of NEPW TV and a subsequent edition of CCW Combat TV. - A quick clip of American Idol coming to the ring is shown before the awesome CCW Combat TV promo video airs. Then, back to live action, as Idol will participate in this episode’s battle royal. However, before that gets underway, NEPW TV commentator Jeff “The Hungryman” Harris has some strong words for American Idol. The Hungryman challenges Idol to an American Idol Sing-Off, a contest that Idol starts by singing karaoke to a Spanish pop song. The only problem – Idol doesn’t live up to his name and only utters one word of the song (“Tequila”), before silencing himself. The Hungryman shrugs off Idol’s lousy effort and starts singing his heart out to a Billy Joel song, only to be attacked by the apparently jealous Idol! At this point, Bad Leroy Brown charges out and tries to save The Hungryman by tossing Idol out of the ring, as the match officially begins. BATTLE ROYAL for a shot at a Title of the Winner’s Choice: American Idol vs. Bad Leroy Brown vs. The Iron Eagle vs. Dave Cole vs. Nocturne vs. The Super Ninja vs. Osirus vs. Wiqued vs. Molsonn vs. Dave Wilcox Idol initially gains control by re-entering the ring and attacking Leroy, while the big man is checking on The Hungryman. The Iron Eagle his tag team partner, Leroy, from a further beating by breaking up Idol’s assault, only to fall victim to the offense of Dave Cole, the newest entry. Next out is Nocturne, who unsuccessfully tries to push Nocturne out of the ring, as the participants start piling in – The Super Ninja (a guy in red ring attire with a red mask), Osirus, the 400 lb. Molsonn, Wiqued, and finally Dave Wilcox. Being the bad guy he is, Wilcox stoops so low as to attack The Hungryman at ringside, while the non-wrestler is being helped to the back by some officials. At last Sunday’s show in Fairfield, Wilcox seemed to be playing the face, so I’m a little confused, but he I guess that at that show he just had to adjust because he was going up against Texas Outlaw, a guy who’s a natural heel. Anyway, though – Wilcox then enters the match and starts dominating the pace for the next two or so minutes, as he eliminates Ninja and even Molsonn (who the commentators had picked as one of the favorites to win) and also Chokeslams Leroy. Wilcox’s strategy backfires, though, as everyone turns their attention to him and – after a few minutes of beating on him – finally eliminate the big guy, thanks in part to a Leroy dropkick to the back. Wilcox saves Idol from being eliminated by catching him when Leroy press slams him out to ringside. He then rolls Idol back into the ring, but the youngster’s inexperience shows, as he’s eliminated soon thereafter by Cole. At this point, Cole ducks an Eagle charge and Eagle accidentally knocks his partner, Leroy, out of the ring, after which Eagle gets pushed out by Nocturne. It’s now down to Nocturne and Cole, but not for long, as Nocturne hits a modified T.K.O. (Fireman’s Carry Stunner) in which he falls backwards while executing the move, and then tosses Cole out to garner the victory. WINNER: Nocturne, who therefore receives a shot at a title of his choice Nocturne ended up choosing the CCW Tag Team Titles as his upcoming goal on this past Sunday’s show in Fairfield and designated his partner as Hallowicked. You can check out reviews of that show by myself, Adam Dolan, and Luscious Lily over at DeclarationOfIndependents.net. - Finally, it’s time for the match I’ve wanted to see since its buildup was aired on last week’s episode. Out comes Florida sensation Mikey Batts, who’s the real-life cousin of Billy Kidman. Batts gets a great ovation and reunites with his hometown fans before entering the ring, only to hightail it out to ringside when J-Busta charges in. I thought J-Busta was supposed to be playing the face here. Since when does a heel scare a face out of the ring? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? More heel/face confusion. But it’s all good because this match is looking really good, especially judging by last week’s mega-intense promo by Batts. MIKEY BATTS vs. J-BUSTA Batts eventually enters and J-Busta attacks him, only to receive a Huracanrana for his troubles. J-Busta rolls out of the ring himself to find some safety, and now he’s acting how a heel should. BullDog Blanskey comes out in a special enforcer-type role and intimidates J-Busta into re-entering. A couple of initial tieups lead to some exchanges of hammerlocks, waistlocks, and waistlock takedowns, before Batts escapes a grounded hammerlock by rolling through the hold and armdragging J-Busta, which leads to another stalemate. Batts now goes to grapple, but instead J-Busta attacks him with a kneelift and then some big punches. Batts absorbs a nice Sitdown Inverted Powerbomb counter to a bodyscissors bounceup before coming back with another bodyscissors bounceup and turning it into a sweet Stunner. That’s followed by a Superkick, which sends J-Busta out to ringside, where BullDog Blanskey’s presence distracts him and – as a result – he turns around into a Springboard Plancha by Batts. The move knocks a fan out of their seat in the process. A slugfest and simultaneous “Holy Sh*t!” chant ensues before they re-enter the squared circle. There, J-Busta starts dissecting his legs (specifically his left one) with a low dropkick, some elbow drops, and a legsweep kick, displaying some good psychology. J-Busta nails a German Suplex for a 2 count, and then receives a shoulder-mounted victory roll for a 2 count before beating Batts to his feet and taking him down with a Yakuza Kick. J-Busta ignores the “Mikey Batts!” chant and unloads with a version of Samoa Joe’s ChimeraPlex, as he executes two consecutive German Suplexes rolled into a Tiger Suplex. J-Busta’s control comes to an end because of his arrogance, though, as Batts is able to regain control with a Jawbreaker Stunner counter to a sleeper hold for a 2 count. J-Busta gets his foot on the ropes after a sloppy Tilt-a-Whirl Swinging DDT from Batts and fights back with a Piledriver, followed by a unique Fisherman’s-style backwards cradle pin for a 2 count. A reversal sequence in the corner leads to Batts hitting a Low Ki-style Slingshot Enziguri Face Kick, and then utilizing two sunset flips in a matter of about a minute, with the second one being enough to get him the 3 count for the victory! WINNER: Mikey Batts (via pinfall) BullDog Blanskey enters the ring and briefly celebrates with Batts before J-Busta offers a handshake. Batts’ hesitance acceptance turns out to be a mistake, as J-Busta suddenly sends Batts down with a lariat and then hustles out of the ring, as BullDog helps a frustrated Batts up to his feet. - Backstage, Dan Barry cuts a promo on his opponent in the next match, Spider. - As usual, Spider is really popular and subsequently gets a great pop from the fans. I even spotted his signature female fan in the crowd. Spider is followed by Dan Barry, who attacks his opponent with some slaps and then runs out of the ring. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that he’ll be playing the heel here, right? Ladders Are Legal Match (It’s still pinfall-style, which is why it’s not technically a normal Ladder Match.): The SPIDER vs. DAN BARRY Barry maintains control for most of the first grappling sequence by unloading on Spider’s arm with some kicks, a standing senton, and a few armringers, before being dropkicked out to ringside. After slowly re-entering, Barry again takes advantage during the second tieup and then flips out of a backdrop suplex attempt and applies a waistlock. Spider ducks some of Barry’s offense and they botch a wheelbarrow bounceup attempt, before another squareoff ensues. A tieup sees Barry weaken Spider with some eyepokes, only to fall victim to a nice-looking Diving Swinging DDT off of the middle buckle. The best part is that Barry sells the move awesomely by bouncing a few feet so that he ends up tangled in the ring ropes. It’s little things like that which make a match special. Spider exits the ring and goes to fetch a ladder, but Barry attacks him and tosses him face-first into the steel ringpost, before retrieving the ladder himself. Barry tosses the ladder into the ring, landing it on Spider, and then re-enters via a sweet Springboard Leg Drop for a 2 count (thanks to his arrogant and lazy cover). Barry then delivers a DDT, only for Spider to come back with a Pescada. Then – when Barry rolls back into the ring – Spider throws the ladder over the ropes like a javelin so that it knocks Barry down to the mat. Ah, a taste of his own medicine, eh? However, Spider finds a rejuvenated Barry when he re-enters and receives three consecutive leaping roundhouse kicks, the last of which finally sends him down to the match. Next, Barry brings the ladder into the ring and tosses it onto Spider, before delivering an innovative kick to the side of the head. Spider takes two types of suplexes – one in which he receives a normal suplex from Barry and the other where Barry suplexes a ladder onto Spider’s body. Cooky offense by Barry here. Spider now regains the advantage by leaping up onto the middle ring rope and Russian Leg Sweeping his opponent back down to the mat as Barry was attempting a slingshot. Very sweet counter that came out of nowhere. Spider sets up the ladder in the corner and climbs it, but Barry makes it back to his feet, climbs up himself, and applies a sleeper hold while both are standing on the stricture. Spider counters by leaping off and pulling Barry with him in an attempt at a Flying Stunner, but both guys lose their grip on one another while in midair and it looks a little bit awkward. The effort was there, though. Spider comes back with a big beil throw before the competitors execute a rope-run sequence, in which Spider baseball slides short of the ladder (which is laid up against the top ring rope), and then starts dodging and fighting off all of Barry’s attempted offense (a lariat, a hiptoss, and a Sharpshooter). Finally, Spider is able to find an opening, as he drops out of a Powerbomb, ducks another lariat, and then back body drops Barry onto the ladder! Spider brings the ladder out to ringside and bridges it across two ringside chairs. Barry attacks him, but gets tossed into an empty pile of set-up chairs (in which no fans are sitting). Spider proceeds to ram Barry face-first into the ladder before laying his body down on it and trying to crash onto him with a Suicide Dive through the ropes. Spider sort of connects, but it looks fairly painful because he comes up short and hits the top of his head on the ladder’s side, thereby bending the appliance a bit. The replay reveals that the back of Spider’s foot got slightly caught on the ropes as he was leaping through them. Spider is up to his feet first, though, as he DDTs Barry onto the ladder, before rolling him back into the ring and attempting The Arachnophobia (Sliced Bread #2). Barry, though, does a nice counter and turns it into a Stunner in mid-move to obtain a 2 count. A few moments later, Barry probably had it won after escaping an attempted Super Huracanrana and delivering an awesome Super Fireman’s Carry Michinoku Driver off of the middle buckle, but his arrogance comes into play and he pulls Spider’s body up at 2. That very well may prove to be a mistake. Barry now attempts a Moonsault, but Spider moves and then tries his own, only for Barry to also dodge it. Now, both competitors fight to their feet and Spider nabs a 2 count with a sunset flip, before some pinning combos are traded for some near falls. Finally, Spider gets taken down to the mat with a Yakuza Kick, allowing Barry to bring the ladder into the ring and bridge it on the bottom ring ropes in the corner. Barry tries a Spider German Suplex in which he’d drop Spider head/face-first onto the ladder, but Spider counters and backflips into an ARACHNOPHOBIA~!, slamming Barry back-first onto the ladder! You better believe he’s not getting up from that! And best of all – that innovative finishing spot came off looking absolutely perfect, ending a solid match that was built up very well, and even featured a surprising amount of psychology. Spider celebrates his well-deserved victory as we cut out. WINNER: The Spider (via pinfall) - Chris DeJoseph is standing backstage for a post-match interview with Spider. DeJoseph asks him how he feels and Spider says that he’s definitely hurt – he’s got a banged up knee and a sore back, and then sarcastically advises people not to try what they just saw at home. DeJoseph asks where Spider sees himself now, as far as titles are concerned. Spider responds that after getting a clean 2/3 Falls victory over J-Busta and defeating Dan Barry in a Ladder Match (as we just saw), he’s aiming for the CCW Northeast Title from now on. That assessment actually works out perfectly because – as fans saw last Sunday at CCW Revolution – Spider competed in a four corners match to the determine the number one contender for that title, and ended up emerging as the winner, just as he did here. - The signature video for CCW Combat TV segues into the usual NEPW TV opening, featuring Luis Ortiz, The S.A.T., Balls Mahoney, Raven, Sabu, and others. Ouch Actually, Dutt's gimmick stunner is weird. Sometimes it's not even a stunner. Sometimes its a DDT onto his knee and then a Neckbreaker. Sometimes a DDT onto his knee and a stunner. Sometimes some other wacky shit. Sometimes called the Cal Cut Cut. Sometimes the Calcutta Cut. Sometimes the Calcutta Cutta. Either way, though, it's fucking boss. Good review, too. I enjoyed it.

Chocoball Mukai was served another warrant for his arrest, for violating a law for child pornography. Mukai and his manager found a 17 year old high school girl on the streets of Tokyo, and got her to agree to film a porno with them. This is Mukai's second arrest in two months, after getting arrested for filming a porno in a public facility without a license. Mukai is looking at more jail time for both incidents as a result. I'm going to make my first wrestling music video in the coming weeks, since I finally got my hands on a music video maker (Windows Movie Player). If it helps in terms of specific advice you can give, it's going to be a tribute video for XPW, as a part of a retrospective I'm doing about the company's history. I'm trying to find a good song that will last as long as possible...just a really dramatic, emotional song (not overly, though; it MUST have a part where it starts going berserk...anotherwards, gets faster and louder) the likes of Creed's "My Sacrafice," Kid Rock's "Lonely Road of Faith," AFI's "God Called in Sick" today...my knowledge of music and songs is really limited because I don't really watch much up-to-date MTV, and the only mainstream songs I really know about - save for *some* exceptions - are what I've heard in wrestling music videos. I need the song to run as long as possible because I really want to go ALL OUT, in terms of just showing all I can of XPW with a lot of emotion. I have tons of clips I need. That won't be a problem. It'll be pacing and figuring out a song to use that'll be the problem. I also really need tips on pacing, and stuff like that. I don't know how to make clips fade into the next one, so the fideo will be pretty basic, but what I can do is cut frames off and - for instance - if I wanted to, I could make a clip go down to probably half a second, although I probably woldn't want to because it wouldn't be clear what the hell it was of. My questions about pacing cover the idea of where in the song would I put all the high-flying and death match - the high impact, so to say - clips, where would I put the calmer ones (like just of guys walking to the ring, posing on the top turnbuckle, etc.), etc. I guess for the high impact stuff, I would put most of that towards the "height" of the song, so to say...where it really gets fast and loud, right? I plan on only doing one video and not a bunch of tribute videos, so if possible I'd like to fit as many clips as possible, but not just fit a lot of clips...I want to really go "all out" with the drama of it all. I don't know...is that possible with just one song? I mean, probably anything's possible with computers these days, but do you think it's like...logical, rational to try to do, or is it not even worth it? Which brings me to this - is there a way with Windows Media Player that isn't too hard to figure out for a newbie, where you could segue into another song, midway through? If so, how? Also, is there a limit on the number of times you could segue from one song to another? Not that I'm planning to...trust me...but would it be possible to change the song like 10 times throughout a video and make like a 20 minute video? Again, I'm not planning to, I'm just trying to understand the capabilities and limits of this program. I've read through the entire "Help" menu and have done a few VERY quick practice stuff with non-XPW clips, so at this point I'm looking to get pretty down and dirty with it all. Also, is there a way to slow down a clip and make it go in slow motion using Windows Movie Maker? Also, can you change the color scheme of a clip using WMM...i.e. make the tint of the clip a certain color, and then go back to normal on the next clip? Better yet, is this a rational undertaking for a newbie? As far as getting a song to use, I'll probably just download one off of Kazaa and get as long a version as I can of it. Of course, as I said, I would - if possible - like to segue from one song into another, if possible? Can I using WMM? And better yet, is it really difficult to do for a newbie? As I said, I read through the entire "Help" menu and the topics I'm asking about, it doesn't cover. Back to the clips I wanna use - I want to cover all the different aspects of XPW: the insane death match bumps of Supreme, Homeless Jimmy, Angel, and Messiah; the less-bump-oriented, but still hardcore style of Webb, Nosawa, etc.; the high-flying expertise of Kaos, M-Dogg 20, Jonny Storm, Altar Boy Luke, even guys like Kronus; the scientific/mat wrestling awesomeness of Jerry Lynn, Dynamite D, Chris Hamrick, etc.; New Jack's balcony dives; the lucha styles of MMW, Psychosis, Super Crazy, and Juventud Guerrera; the generally innovative wrestling maneuvers (in terms of making up and using stuff you haven't really seen before) of Kaos, The Dead Prez, Vic Grimes, the Rev. Pro luchadores, MMW, and Chris Hamrick; the nostalgia of seeig Abby, Sabu, Funk, Douglas, Candido, etc.; the comedic talents of Tracy Smothers, Webb, Steve Rizzono, Julio Dinero, the Enterprise, and Kraq & Angel; a few quick clips showing the creepyness of the Pogo the Clown gimmick; maybe some quick clips of the women (J-Love, Lizzy Borden, Kristi Myst, whoever); etc. Obviously, I want the in-ring stuff to be the focal point of the video, but if possible, some of the side stuff - the comedy, the women, etc. - would be cool to feature. But again, do you think, rationally, that that's possible to try to do with just one video? Or do I need to start thinking more seriously about being more conservative in what clips and the number of clips I wanna use? Again, I haven't made a video yet. If I don't get any replies, I'm gonna go ahead and probably start slow...clips of guys posing in the ring or on their way to it...and gradually segue into more high impact stuff, and use the music to judge how fast-paced the clips will be. I don't really know how else to say it - I know the technical aspect of it very well...the pacing and ordering of clips...the idea of playing to song I pick (which again, I kinda need help picking)... is what's gonna fuckin kill me, probably.

Lately, I've been having the same problem with Internet Explorer and AOL on my other computer. Neither will open period, so to view the Internet i have to go in my documents and change the URL box. I still haven't figured out what the problem is and it's remained like this for about two months now. Luckily, I have this other computer.
