Norman Smiley getting WWE dark match, apparently
thuganomics replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
He'd be a solid lower midcarder on Smackdown, but then again, Smackdown has enough floundering lower midcarders. I'd still love to see him in WWE. -
Strangely enough, despite the fact I hate his ring work, I'm really excited to see what Konnan will do in WWE. Maybe it's just the fact, that he's another talent being added to a rather pathetic roster.
-
Christian is the next Shawn Michaels. Doesn't anyone see the definite HBK/Diesel set-up we got going here? WWE plans on pushing him. I could definately see it occuring on Smackdown though. Either way, he's not the next champ. And, I'll repeat this again: TRIPLE H WILL NOT GET BACK THE TITLE BEFORE SURVIVOR SERIES. He's leaving to either film his "modern western" and/or Conan the King this summer. There's no chance in hell he's the next champ. I'd put my money on Kane or Y2J.
-
The Dream version was released in 1990 when the contract with Tyson expired. And since he was no longer champion, they didn't bother to have it resigned, so they just turned him white and called him Mr. Dream. Actually the original version of Punch-Out (which was in the arcades I believe), when released in Japan didn't feature Dream or Tyson. They added Tyson when the game came to the US, and then changed him to Dream when it was re-released in 1990 and Tyson was either in jail or on his way there.

Depends if its Smackdown or not. I could see WWE hiring him as another concession to Eddie Guerrero, as Black Magic was another regular acquaintance of his back in Mexico. -

Anyone who's seen pictures of the effects of Sarin even in small quantities, knows that it is a weapon of mass destruction. One dropper of the stuff in liquid form is enough to kill about a hundred people. If that isn't a WMD, I don't know what definition you're using.

Here's a brief look at the key players in the USWA. Blue marks faces, red heels, and gray tweeners. As I introduce new lesser known players, their bios will bel placed here as well. Jerry "The King" Lawler: The undisputed king of Memphis, Jerry Lawler is the top face in Memphis wrestling. Later to become famous for his announcing skills, Lawler is still a full time wrestler, holding the Southern Heavyweight Title with pride. Austin Idol: A perennial player in 80's era southern wrestling, Austin Idol was working throughout the area as the most annoying gay man you'll ever meet. His character has began to grow darker overtones though as '88 dawns. He's currently the International champion. The Memphis Assassins were once a premiere tag team but are now little more than aging has-beens. However, the Memphis tag scene has weakened in the last few years, leaving few other teams. They still hold the Southern Tag Team titles, but Lawler, Jarrett, and Kaufman have plans to faze them out. Akio Sato and Tarzan Goto are two roughouse Japanese stars who have worked throughout America on many occassions. They've became Memphis regulars, and currently hold the International tag team titles. Dutch Mantell is a solid midcard talent in the promotion. A nearly world class brawler, Dutch has made a famous name for himself fighting in dozens of death matches. He's a solid talker and fighter, and one of the few younger face stars left in the company. He currently holds the Mid-Atlantic title. Rip Morgan is one of the original members of the Sheepherders tag team before they were replaced with the New Zealand team of Butch and Luke (later known as the Bushwhackers). The Sheepherders have recently been broken up, and Rip is do for a major singles push. Jeff Jarrett is one of the company's top young stars. He's a solid all arounder, and even possesses a fan-favorite quality that endears him to the fans. Jeff has been feuding with Austin Idol over the International title of late. Edited to include Jan 2 debuts: Satoru Sayama and Genichiro Tenryu are more famously known as Tiger Mask I and Tiger Mask II, respectively. I don't know a lot about their history at this point, but both had been active for several years at this point. Curt Hennig is of course most famously known as Mr. Perfect. In 1988, most of his work had still been done in the indys, but he was on his way to a successful WWF career. I was lucky enough to find him still unsigned in the scenario. Scott Hall was a regular in AWA in the 80's. He worked a cowboy gimmick at the time, but would go on to WWF in the early 90's to become Razor Ramon. He's most famous as a founder of the nWo on his defection to WCW years later. As 1/2 of Perfection with Curt Hennig, he's beginning to morph in to the cocky demeanor of Razor. -
So the title changed hands three times? Is it the fucking hardcore title now?

Cena/Orton will definitely happen some day, but I see it more likely that Orton would be moved to Smackdown. It's a sad day when Randy Orton can provide star power for Smackdown.

I don't know much about Jonny C other than he wears some cool gloves. Pro Wrestling Hogan was an EWR diary that was up on this site around the time 4.2 came out. Basic premise was Hogan opens his own company, with the worst wrestlers in some of the worst gimmicks ever.

Pro Wrestling was the bomb, and I ALWAYS used Starman as well. He was a killing machine.
-
Maven should be put back on Smackdown. He couldn't hurt the show any...

Personally, I think WWE would bring Konnan in just to court Juventud and Psicosis in to the promotion. They've learned that a large demographic of viewers are latino, and they can bring in big name latino stars to make a profit. It's the same principle TNA is using with the Mexico/X-Cup storyline after all.

The game would have been far superior if they had kept the EWR framework though. The only things really broken in EWR were the Sponsors and Television systems, and they could be easily renovated. But TEW's ultra-realism turns me off quite a bit. Especially on my computer, which it would happily destroy if I ever played it at home.
