  1. That was the only other comic I was seriously considering in my spot. Solid pick.
  2. Geez, Cran's late for his own draft. I'm in the same boat -- easily 6-7 guys I could go with here, and some probably better than my pick, but I've been listening to him since I was about 6: Bill Cosby

  4. Because that was 10 weeks ago in Kansas City, and Vegas figures the public has forgotten about it.
  5. gogogogogo Better this way, we'll get more quality.
  6. Figures I go to the one site that seems to have it wrong. 15 it is.
  7. 9 years in the slammer for OJ.
  8. I have faith that Harper would blow a third straight election campaign, though.
  9. Two things: 1) Why are we still on this? 2) Why does the guy whose team WON the argument keep bringing it up?
  10. http://rankings.big-boards.com/?p=all We're more popular than the Buffalo Bills!
  11. The Cardinals are getting ass-raped worse than the Raiders. I didn't think that was possible.
  12. Wow, I was dead certain you were going for the Titans this week, Kahran: CC - Indianapolis Kahran - Arizona
  13. The Raiders are clearly unafraid to go out and completely suck against a divisional opponent in a nationally televised game.
  14. My brother-in-law is a huge Bills fan, and he wasn't going because of the price. His dad finally caved and bought the tickets, but it was obscene how much they were charging even for the worst seats.
  15. Capt. James T. Kirk
  16. Bigger nets will never, ever happen. Smaller goalie equipment is a much more realistic solution.
  17. I have a feeling our matchup is going to come down to the tiebreaker.
  18. I thought I was being pretty specific.. this ability to combine your parties to form one big alliance to take over and claim you have the majority. Well, that's what I was getting at. If this were to happen, we're no longer a parliamentary democracy. A party or group of parties has to prove they are able to govern before the monarch (or monarch's representative, in this case) will install them as the government. In the case of a majority, that's not a problem, but in a minority situation, the current situation can easily happen (see the Sweden example above). Everyone just presupposes that whoever gets the most seats will automatically form the government, when in fact that has never been the case.
  19. I was wondering, considering I saw the thread on Tuesday and couldn't find it yesterday when I went to submit my Thursday pick. I thought I'd been seeing things.
  20. So did anyone watch the big statements by Harper and Dion? Dion's statement was a farce; the tape was delivered to the major news organizations way late and didn't get aired in the half-hour window the networks had allotted, and the video quality was just slightly batter than a typical bin Laden announcement. Oh, and Dion had a big book called Hot Air on the bookshelf behind him.
  21. What exactly are you suggesting be changed? It's not like we're going to suddenly stop being a parliamentary democracy.
  22. Harper's not going to get one, especially not now. It looks like he learned everything he knows about governing with a minority from Joe Clark.
