  1. Raiders and Pats just traded 90+ yard kickoff returns for TDs. 35-14 Pats.
  2. If the blowouts hold up, looks like I only need either Carolina or the Giants. If I can pick, I'll take the Giants, thanks.
  3. Hmm, I vaguely recall another team getting screwed on a similar play by that Cutler guy. That's OK, the Chiefs just gave them a win they didn't deserve on a silver platter, so they're even.
  4. That's OK, I meant to pick St. Louis, so we're even.
  5. Come on Chiefs, put the Chargers out of their misery.
  6. Rest of my picks...good thing I have my iPhone with me: ATL/BAL/CAR/CIN/TEN/IND/GB/KC/SF/NYJ/SEA/MIN/NE/NYG/PHI/17
  7. The judge in Minnesota extended the injunction against the NFL for the Williams Wall and the three Saints players. They're cleared to play for the rest of the season. http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/...iD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU
  8. Just promise to keep the name when you win. I named it two years ago and I've grown attached to it.
  9. I should also mention that there were at least 2 guys that I can remember in my high school who did some kind of Macho Man imitation at their graduation.
  10. It's been 12 hours... Bob Newhart
  11. God yes, that's why I started watching in the first place (1986). Everyone was collecting those WWF stickers that were in Hostess potato chips.
  12. Called it: CC - Philadelphia Kahran - Philadelphia
  13. That children's book he wrote just gets more and more ironic. Little T Learns To Share, indeed.
  14. More for the "TO is a fucking baby" file: That's his QUARTERBACK.
  15. More reasons to like the baby Blackhawks: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports/Hawks+...0030/story.html
  16. 1. MVP - Kurt Warner, Eli Manning, and probably James Harrison and Ed Reed. OROY - Matt Ryan, Chris Johnson or Joe Flacco. I'd probably give it to Ryan today. DROY - Not so sure about this one. Names that come to mind include Jerod Mayo, Chris Horton and Aqib Talib. COY - Jeff Fisher nosing out Tom Coughlin. 2. Hard to decide, but I'm going with the Jaguars barely over the Chargers. The Jags have quit on their coaches and quit on each other. I don't expect them to win another game this season. San Diego at least has a very outside shot at making the playoffs despite everything. 3. I don't follow these teams enough to be able to do that. I will say that the Lions will need at least 2 more years before they can compete. They need to focus on rebuilding both lines and their secondary this offseason. 4. I don't think it's been any better or worse than in previous years. I've seen horrible calls made since I started watching football. It's just that some of the bad calls have been a lot more high profile this year (e.g. the Hochuli call against San Diego). I do wish the media would stop putting these guys under such an intense microscope -- bad calls from Hochuli's crew were making headlines a month after the Denver/SD game. I also think the league should consider hiring full-time officials and paying them as such. 5. If I was a Raiders fan, I'd say Al Davis, but speaking as a Broncos fan, we love the guy! Anyway, my pick is Philip Rivers because he's such a whiny bitch.
  17. It is truly sad that the Blue Jays aren't even mentioned as trying to sign AJ. Or anyone else, for that matter. Sounds like they're giving up on the season already.
  18. Bill Maher
  19. I'm on the Bears as well.
  20. Transit strikes in the middle of winter.
  21. They were still bad last year and turned it around. And I expect them to tank next year against a much tougher schedule.
  22. Phoenix is quite average, despite having a lot of big-name players on their roster.
  23. Buffy Summers
  24. This is the point at which I assumed that whatever followed was going to be wrong.
