  1. Tigers win!! TIGERS WIN!! A walk-off HR for Granderson, and the Sox lead is down to two games.
  2. Shit, all the important games are delayed.
  3. Who has that line up? I don't know of any book that would post a line for next week on a team that hasn't played this week's game yet. They'd get killed.
  4. Because it was a horrible match and everyone knew it.
  5. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=NFL&id=2821 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow, the hits just keep on coming.
  6. Right. Their last title was in 1917. They've only even APPEARED in one Series since the Black Sox scandal. The Cubs, of course, are even worse off...in three years, they'll be "celebrating" the centennial of their last WS win.
  7. 57 years for the Indians...but 88 years for the White Sox.
  8. Yeah, I don't understand that one at all. It was bad baseball played in bad weather for the most part.
  9. That was the main sticking point. All of those wrestlers were getting paid way more by AOL to sit at home and do nothing than they would have had they accepted a buyout from the WWF.
  10. Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, Chris Kanyon, Buff Bagwell, Torrie Wilson, Lance Storm, Sean O'Haire, Mike Awesome, Chuck Palumbo, Stacy Kiebler, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Mike Sanders, Hugh Morrus, Billy Kidman, Elix Skipper, Chavo Guerrero Jr, Shawn Stasiak, Jamie Noble, Kaz Hayashi, Jimmy Yang and Mark Jindrak. Some of them never made it onto WWF TV (Elix Skipper, Kaz Hayashi, Mike Sanders) or didn't last very long (Bagwell), but their contracts were all bought by the WWF.
  11. Great game between the Leafs and Senators last night. Brandon Bochenski looks like he's played his way onto the big club -- he had a hat trick and an assist. Overall, the Bochenski - Spezza - Heatley line had 10 points on the night in a 7-4 Sens win.
  12. Crucial series starting today: Toronto @ Boston NY Yankees @ Baltimore Chicago White Sox @ Detroit LA Angels @ Oakland NY Mets @ Philadelphia San Francisco @ San Diego One team can clinch a playoff spot today -- Atlanta would clinch their 14th straight division title with a win over Colorado and a Philadelphia loss.
  13. Syracuse beat Buffalo 2 weeks ago.
  14. Is it more specific than just an idiom?
  15. I thought of that as soon as I posted, actually. Got me good.
  16. Brainbusters Hollywood Blonds Road Warriors Midnight Express
  17. I'm a Syracuse backer, but whoever voted for Syracuse should have their membership to society revoked.
  18. Um...how the fuck would that strip work with walkie-talkies? Fuck the PC crowd.
  19. OK, who had four weeks in the pool? As an aside, I must admit to a deep-seeded resentment toward Big XII men's volleyball.
  20. I need that, plus the Broncos hitting 20 on the nose.
  21. In that division? Please, 0-3 in that division means as much as 0-3 in the North. The NFC EAST is the only place where 0-3 means you are dead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but the Cardinals are clearly nowehere near as good as anyone thought in the preseason. They're looking like a 4-12 or 5-11 team thus far.
  22. Your attention please...the Arizona Cardinals bandwagon has reached the end of its route. Any remaining passengers, please disembark from the rear in an orderly fashion.
  23. Chris Noth is going to be the reason my wife stops watching CI. She loves the d'Onofrio character, and thinks the Noth character isn't bright enough to fit the premise of the show.
  24. Two things: - Chicago HAS TO win their game vs. the Twins. Has to. They lose, and the lead over the Yankees and Red Sox is only two games. I don't think they can hold a two-game lead at this point. - If Cleveland misses the playoffs, they can point to this game as the reason why. They get out to a 3-0 lead over the worst team in the majors and can't hold it in a crucial late-season game? That's bad.
  25. Indians tie it up in the 9th, but KC has the winning run at 2nd with one out. EDIT: KC wins it 5-4.
