  1. Yankees vs. anyone gets my vote. Although it's be quite funny to see the Yankees in the World Series, since it would surely result in Steinbrenner continuing to overpay for players and ignore key holes in his team, and one of these years they're going to go 65-97 with that approach and I'll laugh my ass off.
  2. Tuesday, we have Padres/Cardinals at 1, followed by Sox^2 at 4 and Yankees/Angels (surprise!) at 8. Here's the full schedule: I predict Angels vs. Red Sox in the ALCS, and Cardinals vs. Braves in the NLCS.
  3. Nice comeback from a shitty first half by the Eagles.
  4. Sucking pretty hard, from what I can see.
  5. If there's a murdering season for animals, why isn't there one for humans?
  6. Wow, did I get ANY games right?
  7. Well, I'm glad I had at least one different. Iggy would have had the tiebreaker.
  8. 34-21 Rutgers early in the fourth. I see Pitt making the comeback here; don't ask me why.
  9. Finally, the White Sox get two in the top of the 13th despite Ozzie Guillen being an idiot.
  10. My God, the Royals are TERRIBLE. If the Jays can't get back to .500 for the season, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
  11. There were no winners, only losers.
  12. Did they? It couldn't have been very long, could it? I ever don't remember seeing that when he was in WCW in the eary 90s.

  14. No, they don't...but after losing 2/3 to one of the worst teams in the league in the last week of the season, I don't think getting swept by the Sox is a reach.
  15. What do you mean, "what took so long?" Last week's thread didn't start until 2 hours before kickoff.
  16. That's five extra-base hits in his last two games. He almost won someone a million bucks in a Blue Jays viewers contest last night when he came up a single short of the cycle.
  17. They went 82-79 with one rainout not made up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're right. My apologies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is everyone gonna get 162 games in this year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Barring any rainouts between now and Sunday, yes. First time since 1993 that will have happened.
  18. They went 82-79 with one rainout not made up.
  19. FRIDAY Pittsburgh at Rutgers SATURDAY Michigan at Michigan State Virginia Tech at West Virginia Navy at Duke Utah at North Carolina Kent State at Eastern Michigan Minnesota at Penn State USC at Arizona State Iowa State at Nebraska Florida at Alabama Washington State at Oregon State Kansas State at Oklahoma New Mexico State at Louisiana Tech Notre Dame at Purdue Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Pittsburgh/Rutgers game? 44 Tiebreak #2: How many yards passing will USC's Matt Leinart have against Arizona State? 279
  20. White Sox are two innings away from clinching a tie for the AL Central title. 4-1 lead over the Tigers heading to the 8th. EDIT: Sox have now actually clinched the Central title outright, as a tie with Cleveland would mean both teams are in the postseason, and Chicago would win the division on the head-to-head tiebreaker.
  21. Vince wanted to, but Backlund refused and ended up leaving the company as a result.
  22. I assumed this was continued punishment for Steamboat asking for time off for the birth of his son in 1987, and also for going to the NWA in 1989. Fortunately, they didn't kill his career like they killed those of guys like Terry Taylor. It was at this moment, actually, that I realized exactly how stupid the WWF considered their fanbase to be.
  23. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's no way an arbitrator would side with the team on this. You can't compel someone to have a DNA test outside of a criminal investigation.
